Tapestry House

Wow this place had been renovated and upgraded to a great chic yet comfortable getaway. Joan is so welcoming just like old friends. Only problem was I did not want to leave. Highly reccomendation A+++

Very nice place and great location, but the owners are absolutely terrible to work with. Unbelievably rude and unaccommodating. There are plenty of other options in the area that are just as nice and you won’t have to deal with these monsters!

We stayed here the first weekend of May. The location is wonderful, a very short walk to all the restaurants, shops and bars in town. Beautiful rooms, nicely appointed. The common areas are large and the front porch is inviting. Breakfast had a nice variety. Only complaint– breakfast was the same both days.

My husband and I decided to spend the fourth of July In Greenport we stayed at the Bartlett house and we were so pleased with everything .Jack and Diane were wonderful hosts .they were as welcoming as any family member would be when you just got home. our room was adorable clean and designed beautifully. The only thing I could think of that was wrong was that we didn’t stay there an extra day! We most definitely will be back and will recommend to all of our friends!

I couldn’t be happier with our stay here during July 4^th weekend. Like all reviews here on Unilocal and elsewhere, Jack and Diane are amazing hosts who try to accommodate your every request if at all possible. The house itself is beautifully kept and maintained, with a large wrap-​around porch perfect for having breakfast in the sun. Little details like having snacks available all day long in the kitchen, cold water in mini fridges around the house, bike racks on site, and plenty of parking just made all the difference. It’s walking distance from all the action on Front & Main Streets, but far enough away so it’s quiet after a long day.
Highly recommend!

10 Guest rooms are tastefully decorated, small with private bath, individual window A/​C, and queen-​size bed. Other rooms may be larger.

Breakfast is European-​style buffet with assorted breads, juices, yogurt, lox, ham, and fresh fruit. Served 8:30 — 10:00. Many coffee places within walking distance if you want your coffee at other hours. Tasty quiche was made from scratch by Diane and ingredients changed the next day.
$ 450 for 2 nites with breakfast, June weekend, including tax. WiFi included.
Fun and easy town to walk around. Ideal choice if interested in the local wineries.
Unsuitable for young children due to some fragile items in the open areas.
Tip: you can also get to Greenport from NYC via bus or LIRR train (three trains a day from Penn Station, $ 25 one-​way, peak fare, 3 hour trip) or take the Cross Sound Ferry from New London CT, which we used to avoid bridge and LIE congestion, for about $ 67 with car and two adults.

Jack and Diane are awesome hosts! The rooms are comfortable and well appointed. Breakfast has a great variety, both hot and cold items, and tastes great. Its buffet style and very filling. Being only a few blocks from downtown is a huge bonus.
