Golden Cove delivery is fantastic. LIU Post students are all big fans. The ribs are great and they have a large dining area. Bubble tea too.

This is a family run joint. Not fancy but simple family food. Eat at plain table. Place has major takeout clientele, which may be the reason. Not a bad place for basic hot and sour soup and entrée like beef or chicken with veggies. Priced OK.

I have been ordering Chinese food from Golden Cove for about five years now. I used to work next-door at the Toyota dealership which is how I found this hidden gem. I live in old Bethpage and I travel there because their food is consistently delicious. The only thing I would change would be their take out trays. They really need to up their game and start using the plastic containers instead of the Styrofoam boxes. They will use a plastic container if you get chicken chow mein etc. but when you get a Styrofoam takeout container they staple it shut a bunch of times and it is very hard to open with condensation all over it. I would specify for plastic container. They have the best house fried rice I have ever had. It taste like hibachi style rice when they make it in front of you. They are not stingy at all with their shrimp chicken vegetables etc. Best chicken and string bean ever. The string beans or caulked and they are not frozen they are fresh and the sauce is to die for it taste like a spicy garlic brown sauce. But not overly spicy just a nice kick to it. I highly recommend to try this and please get house fried rice it is so much better than their normal fried rice!

I have been frequenting this Chinese restaurant for over 6 years. I was always satisfied with my food. I once found a fly in my Beef with Broccoli and I called them up and told them about it… Look it happens. It is gross but I for one can look past that. I understand, I’ve worked in the food industry. I still continued to give them my business until today. I ordered a Roast Duck Ho Fun soup for pick up. When I got home and started eating the soup, about half way through I noticed something in my dish that caught my eye. A piece of the Roasted Duck had a sharp jagged edge metal tag that was attached to the duck from the farm in which it was raised. I am completely horrified. I have uploaded photos so people can see what I’m talking about. I don’t know how this can surpass any chef’s eyes. My mother is a chef and has never seen a tag wind up in someone’s dish. I am very lucky that I saw this, because I don’t want to imagine the damage it would have caused to my mouth/teeth. I called them up and had to practically beg them to come pick up the food so they can see for themselves what was in my Roast Duck Ho Fun soup. I felt like I was pulling teeth. I don’t care how busy any restaurant is at any given time, this is totally unacceptable and extremely dangerous. This is serious gross negligence and I’m never going to come back here.

I order from here like once a week. Delivery quick and the food is 100% delicious. Always makes my kids happy therefore I am happy. I can’t even recommend anything because everything we order is good. Can’t go wrong. Love it!

Best Chinese food on Long Island hands down. All meat is white meat. I know when you get chicken from all other Chinese places it’s like a mystery meat. Love the crunchy noodles they give in the beginning!

Overall atmosphere is that of a typical Chinese take out. My husband and I ate there with our two sons. It was clean enough to sit and have our food. Food is very average Chinese food, wasn’t blown away… Was left disappointed– I ordered chicken in chili sauce, thinking it would have some spice/heat– but it tasted like the sweet and sour sauce, I couldn’t even finish it. The vegetable spring role was mushy inside, but crunchy on the outside– it was the worst I’ve ever had. Staff was nice, but the food… Not so much.

Ordered here for the first time with a coworker for lunch. For two lunch specials and an order of dumplings, the total came to about $ 20. I have been looking for a spot around here for a while where you can get that chinese food craving fix and I think I’ve found the place! The delivery man got a little lost and the wait time was long but our office is situated in a very confusing area, I’m just happy he was able to find us! Will definitely order from here again. In terms of the price, I have ordered from cheaper establishments, but in the area its located I thought it was appropriate.

Singapore meifun and beef chow fun is well worth it’s price. Was there during lunch and heard people complaining about price, seriously?! Their food is high quality and the server was friendly If you have 7 – 8 bucks for lunch then this is the place to be. If you’re a cheap bastard who does not have 7 bucks, then go eat wendy’s

Ordered general tsos chk and pork fried rice. Chicken was ok but not any spice whatsoever(as usual). The rice was awful! Not a single piece of pork, egg, or vegetable in aight! I have ordered here many times as it is one of the only edible(barely) Chinese restaurants around me. Have never been so disappointed in a delivery order. Also, they forgot to include plastic silverware and sauces(soy, duck etc.). Please find sum where else to order as this place was overpriced and obviously had no sort of quality control. Will not be eating here again.

I’m used to good Chinese food, but living in Long Island, I admit it’s hard to satisfy my hunger. Golden Cove is a standard Chinese takeout spot, and I set my expectations accordingly when trying them out. We ordered roast pork lo mein and some sesame chicken with rice. For what it is, it was actually quite tasty. The noodles had a good texture and taste. They don’t skimp on veggies or pork. The sesame chicken was well done too. My biggest fear with sesame chicken is that it’s mostly fried batter. At Golden Cove, not the case. Their sesame chicken had a good batter to chicken ratio and they don’t overdo the sauce. I’ve eaten here a few times now and it’s always pretty decent. The people are nice, service is quick. They get quite busy at night so call ahead and pick up your order.

I have been coming to this place since I was a kid. They changed they’re name along the way but everything, especially the food has remained delicious. Can’t recommend Szechuan express– whoops I mean Golden Cove enough!

The food is delicious. That being said, I believe it is due to the high MSG content. It did not agree with me too well. I was attracted to the cheap prices, but it’s totally not worth it if I feel terrible afterwards.

I have yet to try anything bad from this place. I’ve been going here for the past 10 years. The food is great and very flavorful. Its the architype of good tasting take out chinese food. The best items on the menu have to be the wonton soup and the fried wontons. The soup is simply the best around. Very flavorful with nice, dark, tasty pork inside the wontons. I’ve had many bowls of wonton soup that I need to add salt or soy sauce to and that use wontons with light and almost dry meat inside. Not here, always fantastic! The fried wontons also have the same great tasting wontons, exept they give you a huge vat of sauce to dip them in, which comes out of the kitchen nice and hot. Overall, really great chinese, fast delivery, and great prices.

Overall 3 stars. But this is highly driven by price. See below. Price/bang for your buck: 4 stars. Lunch specials with rice, entrée and soup are in the 6 – 7 dollar range. Probably normal in many other areas. But in Roslyn, this is dirt cheap. Plus portion size is very generous. Food: 2 stars: As I mentioned in another review, I grew up with a very close friend who was native chinese. So i have grown accustomed to more authentic Chinese food. That being said, Golden Cove was ok. It’s not authentic, and I don’t think they’re trying to be. It’s decent, and the portion sizes are very generous. I suspect that most would find the food tastiness. even above average. Service: n/a I ordered take out, so I won’t comment about service that much. If I observed correctly, it seems like a fast food type of arrangement. you order from the counter take a seat, and they call you when it’s ready. FWIW, my food was ready and piping hot when I arrived. Will I go back? I’m not too thrilled about the food, but because I’m cheap, I’ll be back.

Standard Chinese Fare. I picked up from here as its close to my job at home, and I’ve found things to be average but generally good tasting. The only thing truly lacking is the crab rangoon. I’ve found them to be overfried and underfilled. Super cheap, super filling.
