The McDonald of coffee. Whoever owns the trademark for coffee should preclude Starbucks to use the word ‘coffee’. Luckily, 3rd wave coffee has been spreading to the suburbs offering alternative to the black water served at Sturbucks.

Two coffee shops on the Ave are a must do and this is one of them. For friendliness of staff a 4 stars and an occasional 5 stars. For socializing it’s a five. But for a food establishment i think cleanliness is much more important. And that would be more like three stars. I’ve been here so many times in the last year(pitiful i know) and it is simply never pristine — day or night. First world problem, sorry. Like the other guy who reviewed this place — you’d think that a Starbucks on the avenue and mere footsteps away from Hermes and billion dollar retail storefronts would try to fit into the hood. Nope! The sugar stand is pretty messy, the bathrooms are mediocre on a good day and tables and floor all always need to be tidied up a bit. I think this location makes so much money that they don’t care. It’s a great hangout spot and the people walking in the door.

It’s alright. I agree, it is a madhouse in there. There is a long line to order and a long wait to pick up your drink and food at the bar. Plus there’s nowhere to stand while you wait so the entire time you are moving around making space for others to pass. Since it’s a little uncomfortable, I wouldn’t go back.

The Batista’s are nice here, and get drinks out quickly. They would get 5 stars for that portion of the job. What brings the stars down at this location is the attention to detail. I would expect that a Starbucks on Greenwich Ave would be held to a bit higher standard than others. Nope, not this one. Whoever manages this location does not understand the concept of cleanliness. In their defense, it is a busy location, and harder to stay on top of keeping things tidy, but it’s been about two hours, and nobody has come along to wipe down tables/countertops, sweep etc. It has been slow also, not crazy busy like other times I have been here. This is what happens when you hire people that think they are too good to do menial tasks, so I think there might be a problem with the person that conducts interviews. Usually I give a location a few passes before I comment on something wrong, because as a business owner myself, I understand that it may not always be like that. However, I have noticed this to be a recurring problem with this Starbucks. I would rather hire someone that knows how to clean the shiznit out of a table, and has no clue how to make a drink, rather than a superstar Batista that knows how to make designs in the foam. You can teach flowers in foam much easier than teaching someone the concept of work ethic. Just say’n.

If I’m paying 5 bucks for a latte I expect to actually get a latte. And when asking where my drink is I don’t wanna be looked through like I don’t exist. I walked out with no answer to the multiple questions I asked to multiple employees and no drink and no refund. Buy local coffee.

Great location. The staff here are very helpful and orderly. I’ve been to other locations, and honestly, it has been such a struggle to get my drink to my standards. In any case, this location in Greenwich delivers. This location is ample, and very organized.

Worst Starbucks I have ever been to. Staff was rude and the place was a mess. Starbucks corporate clearly does not care as the location is great so must do well from a sales perspective. Too bad…

This place has disappointed me, the new staff is rude, twice already did they forget to put the espresso in my latte, I ordered a latte not just milk. The asian girl that works there refused to take my order told another girl to take my order then went and took the lady behind me, this place has gone down hill. Will not be going back.

Pros: great location, efficient staff, quite large with lots of seating, easy parking in nearby streets and lots. My iced coffee was good but can’t comment on more complex drinks. Cons: Takes the crown as the worst wifi at any Starbucks I’ve ever been to. As previous commenters have said, it is really dirty, probably due to how busy it is, careless customers and inattentive staff.

I don’t like this location, it’s not cleaned, staffs are friendly, they are unwilling to clean up the spaces/tables, or counters… I had a regular coffee in a sunny afternoon, It was not fresh nor hot enough… taste like hours long left in the maker. I recommend another nearby locations like Rye or riverside…

This is the first Starbucks I ever went to. Growing up in Greenwich, I remember when it first opened its doors at the original location. It’s a really nice one, located centrally on Greenwich Ave. Service is second to none. This is my favorite Starbucks to actually sit down and people watch, have meetings/interviews and meet people. I guess it’s because it’s my hometown and I feel a sense of connectivity and belonging. The baristas are cream of the crop. Being in the heart of Greenwich, they cannot possibly afford to give anything less than exceptional service.

My girlfriend and I stopped by here on a Saturday afternoon after window shopping at the Apple Store down the street. We each picked up a Grande White Mocha. The staff seemed friendly and even with a good amount of people in the store we did not have to wait long. The store itself is fairly spacious and nicely set up.
