I’m here in Portland for a wedding and my eye with my gas permeable contact started getting irritated. I didn’t have my plunger. This place was so nice and gave me one form their supply and threw in eye drops to help with irritation. They are a life saver!

I love Gresham Optical. Dr Greg Brophy is great and the staff if wonderful! My husband was getting his eye care while I waited in the waiting room looking over all the options on frames. One of the wonderful ladies (Kaylynn) that works there was very helpful in telling me all the pros and cons on the frames I liked. She even showed me some that I might not have seen that I really liked! I felt like I had been well informed and could make a good decision about the frames and the lenses.
Later on, the lenses got a scratch and we had paid to have the scratch resistant surface. Well one call into Kaylynn and she took care of it! Very prompt and helpful.
I would highly recommend using Gresham Optical!

Dr Greg Brophy has been my optometrist for about fifteen years, and I wouldn’t consider going to anyone else. He has the most up-​to-​date equipment possible, and his exams are extremely thorough. Not only does he do the regular vision check, he also tests for glaucoma, takes a photo of the inside of my eyes (which is really pretty amazing when you think of it), and always gives me a complete explanation for what he’s doing.
He treats me as a person, not as a pair of eyeballs, which I have had happen in the past. He’s friendly and very accessible should I have any problems. He’s professional to the max, but also very friendly and down to earth.
I was just in there today for my regular exam, trying to decide between contacts and glasses. I have a complicated prescription, and Dr Brophy was absolutely honest with me about the positives and negatives of each. He gave me the information I needed so that I can make an informed decision with no pressure one way or the other.
His office staff is wonderful, too. They’re all very competent, friendly, and helpful. One time one of the hinges on my glasses got a sharp point on it, and all I had to do was show the staff person what was happening; she fixed it right away. This is typical. Another time my husband and I were going out of town and I didn’t have a decent pair of sunglasses, so we stopped in at Gresham Optical and were helped to find exactly what I needed.
I’ve never had to wait longer than five minutes for my appointment. The waiting room is very tastefully furnished, and there’s a wide selection of frames to choose from.
I had a really bad experience at another optometrist’s before being referred to Dr Brophy by my daughter. I highly recommend Gresham Optical no matter what your vision needs might happen to be.
