Good pizza, simple atmosphere, but a bit overpriced. We paid $ 50 for about $ 30 worth of food anywhere else. Nothing about it was bad, it was just priced wrong. Pizza isn’t out of this world, but it beats the franchises. I’ve had better, but I’ve had much worse. I’m not crossing it off my list, but might try the all-you-can-eat spaghetti I hear is so good certain nights(maybe Sunday nights?).

Not what I was expecting from a place getting four plus stars… so perhaps this was a bad order. We ordered two large pizzas for takeout. When I picked them up, I was a little disappointed in the size. These are more like most pizza joints small pizza… hard to justify $ 35… But I was hoping to get home and enjoy what others have raved about. When we opened the boxes, I was surprised with the inconsistencies between the two. One seemed hand tossed and one was a very thick crust. The thinner one had a good amount of cheese, where the other barely had a sprinkle. Both pizzas we very dry… not that a pizza should drown in sauce, but these were pretty tasteless. The meats and topping were okay, but nothing great… Not sure I would recommend it, but as I mentioned they could have had an off night.

In-laws brought us here for dinner and it was fun! There was a live band, the pizza was delicious and the baked oysters were yummy! A great little dive for the vacationer.

We have been coming to GS for years and always planned a stop here, but never seem to make it. Last night we stopped for the first time. I was amazed! The place was comfortably full for a Tuesday night in January. Service is quick, beer is cold, food is great! The stuffed mushrooms were out of this world. The price buster pizza was the best pizza I have eaten. I don’t know what kind of cheese was on the pizza, but it was rich and stringy and creamy! yum!

Stopped in for lunch to have a taste of something other than seafood. We ordered the Spinach and Artichoke dip, and although it wasn’t the absolute best I’ve ever had(Giordano’s in Chicago gets that honor) it was verrrry good and my husband and I snarfed it down! It was so cheesy and when smeared on the garlic bread that came with it… So great! We got a large pizza, half all meat, half cheese. It’s a very rich pizza, so it was very filling. We only ate two pieces each. The crust was cooked through even in the middle, so it was not soggy. That’s one of my wishes for a pizza! :) The waitress also brought me their house ranch for dipping. It was intense but I bet it would taste awesome on a salad. Yes, it’s kind of a dive bar. But it felt very welcoming. The waitress was so very nice to us and went above and beyond. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a break from seafood. I also commented to my husband that this is the kind of place I would go to if I lived here. I bet this waitress knows all of her regulars and takes good care of them.

We received a warm welcome from the bartender who invited us to sit where ever we liked. Being big people we chose a table in the middle of the room. A petite waitress said we couldn’t sit there because there were 4 of us and that table is for 5 or more. She walked us across the room to seat us in the back. I asked to be seated somewhere the guys could watch the game. She put us in a small booth by the bathroom. I was so glad someone else came to take our order. Chicken wings were good but the pizza was lousy as advertised. We got the shrimp pizza with spinach and mushrooms. I think the spinach came from a can. By the way a party of 4 was sat at that table.

Papa Rocco’s makes the BEST pizza I have had anywhere. I was shocked and oh so pleasantly surprised! We came here based on the recommendation of a local who overheard my group discussing where to get oysters. He said Papa Rocco’s has the best oysters. After sampling the raw oysters everywhere we went this week, it’s true — Papa Rocco’s was the clear winner. But the pizza. THEPIZZA. It was incredible. We got one with shrimp, bacon, and tomatoes and it was killer. Back in Nashville now, I’m devastated knowing that nothing here will satisfy my craving for that delicious dish. Don’t miss it!

I’m honestly not a fan of pizza most of the time. Working at two separate pizza establishments as a teen made me burnt out for awhile. Went here while on vacation and had a great visit. We were sat very quickly for it being the dinner rush but we were only a party of two versus many larger parties. This place is no frills and serve a lot on styrofoam, which was fine with me. We had the chicken club pizza and it was amazing. I hate most Alfredo/white sauce on pizzas but this was very good and went well with the spinach and chicken. My boyfriend said it was still great when reheated two days later. Service was good and prices were pretty reasonable. We got two waters, one beer(on happy hour), a souvenir coozie(came in handy on the beach next day!), and a large speciality pizza cost us a little over $ 20. By far our cheapest dinner on vacation. I will definitely return if in town!
