We’ve found our new HVAC company! Great work at a fair price!
Our AC began to sputter about a week ago. The company we had a maintenance agreement essentially wiped there hands of it and gave us an $ 8,000 quote for a replacement system. Needless to say, we called around to get other quotes.
Kevin’s company was one of the three we called. For the record, his quote was very reasonable. Rather than pushing us to drop a few thousand on a new system, however, he suggested that he should come out and give us a second opinion. We’re so glad we did.
When our system stopped working on a sweltering day, we called Kevin and he was at our house in 30 minutes. He was very thorough and came to the same conclusion – our compressor stopped working. Unlike the original company – he offered to check if it was under warranty. Turns out, it was. With one simple phone call, we went from having to suddenly spend $ 8,000 to having repair options.
We opted to replace the compressor. For a fraction of replacing the HVAC system, Kevin came out on a steamy Saturday morning and went to work. After he left, we quickly determined that things still weren’t quite right. We called Kevin and he was back to our house in under an hour. Turns out the original company gave us a bizarre hard-​start with a non-​functioning relay switch. He replaced hard start and the capacitor at no extra charge and now our AC is running ice cold!
In summary, we were initially told we’d have to spend $ 8,000 on a new system by our original company, when – in reality – they screwed up on a simple repair. We had at least FIVE technicians from three different companies come out to diagnose our failing system. Kevin was the only one who figured it out and fixed the problem.
This may be a wordy review – but we’ve had a week of worry and indecision regarding our HVAC system. Being told you had to drop $ 8,000 RIGHT NOW or you may die of heat stroke on your kitchen floor was beyond nerve-​wracking. Thank God we found Kevin, who truly seems more interested in developing long-​term relationships with his customers than squeezing them for immediate cash.
After long week we’ve had, we can attest to the fact that he is an HONEST, PUNCTUAL and COMPETENT professional who charges a fair price for his work. He also will come back the same day if things aren’t right and stay until they are. What more could you ask for?
