Husband and I went for half day ice fishing with Robby on Dec 2015. We met Robby at Blue Mesa Reservoir. When we arrived at the location, Robby had setup a big hut for us complete with a heater and 4 fishing poles inside. Robby taught us what to do and how to read the fish-finder. He also tried different baits the whole time, to make sure the fishes catch them. We had so much fun during the 3.5 hours we were there and Robby also helped clean the fish before we leave. It was truly a memorable trip. I definitely recommend this to anyone who wishes to do different activity other than skiing in Colorado. Thanks Robby!

Book a trip with Sport Fish Colorado, Robby will show you a great time, you will learn more about fishing than you ever thought would. If you dont want to learn but you want to catch some quality fish call Robby 719−649−3378. Thanks for all memories, I cant wait for ice fishing! Ervin Smith, Colorado Springs, Colorado

Blue Mesa fishing is great. Our guide was Robby Richardson of Sport Fish Colorado. 710−649−3378, and he took us where the big Lake Trout were. Can’t say enough about his equipment, knowledge of Blue Mesa, and he know where the fish were. It was so good, we book another fishing trip for this spring. Can’t wait. Doug Cox, Lafayette, CO

Blue Mesa and I have quite the history. It all started when I was about 4 years old. My parents moved from Florida to Colorado and joined forces with my grandparents in purchasing a houseboat, and it seemed fitting to slip it right at this lake. From age 4 to 25, the lake, marina owners, the water level, the local restaurant and more has changed. Sometimes good and other times, not so good. My most recent experience at the lake was amazing. Boating with my parents and boyfriend in tow, I still love the following things this lake offers: 1. Boating slips & rentals. Whether you are leaving your boat at the lake all summer, or just renting for the day, Blue Mesa is the best place to find good/decently priced spaces and rentals :) Ps. They don’t just offer boat rentals, but jet ski’s too! 2. Awesome campgrounds. Being more like desert camping with lots of shrubs and few trees, the campgrounds here are nice and offer a fantastic view of the lake and sunset :) 3. Food at your finger tips! Pappy’s, just up the boat ramp, is the perfect spot after a long day of boating. They offer pizza’s, beer and their famous«blue mesa margaritas» which are absolutely fantastic! 4. Beaches! Being a southern girl, i LOVE when i see a good beach. Because the water level has gone down, there are many beaches optimal for swimming and cooling off on a hot summer day! Despite this being my parents last year of keeping the houseboat, i will forever remain a Blue Mesa fan, and will hopefully continue the tradition with my own children!
