Small studio, very attentive instructor, I love this place when I need calm and serenity. It’s always a treat going there.

Such a shitty place… Don’t GO FOR eyebrows, those eyebrow places in Port authority or JSQ are so much better. I went for eyebrow waxing. This lady Neelam argued with me unnecessarily about threading and partly waxed & did threading.
First she sneezed on my face, she did not use a face mask. She claimed she had allergies. Anyway I have light eyebrows and she waxed and threaded them so thin and straggling. I told her it was bad and she kept arguing with me. The lady has no manners and was telling how she thought it was fine. I had to use liners so that it looked like I had eyebrows.
She is rude obnoxious & needs to have better hygiene. I don’t know about all these women who supposedly had good experiences.
Please be careful she also burned my upper lip with bad waxing. There is a place smaller right next to it the lady is much better, if you are desperate go to verge line.
The smell of incense marks the dust and dirt

Tried my first yoga class here today. The Instructor was very attentive and hands on, the class was small and intimate and very challenging. I really like it but I can get unlimited classes in Manhattan for about ⁸⁰⁄₁₀₀ less. I didn’t care for the over saturation of incense in the air, it was over powering. Also did the «free class on Unilocal» and was told it was 5dollars upon arrival— please don’t lure someone in under false pretenses. I don’t mind paying five dollars but tell me beforehand. Carlos was the instructor and he’s really great. Not sure if I will be returning as a member yet. Have to sleep on it. I will however try their facials and massage.

Beautiful and peaceful environment. It’s definitely a gem.
I tried the yoga/​meditation classes and I usually get my eyebrows done here.

Had a great experience. The receptionist (Anikka) explained and went through everything well. And my first yoga class was only five bucks. Great experience. Friendly staff and good atmosphere.

I am so disappointed with this place and I haven’t even tried their massages yet. So today I rushed from work to be able to purchase my mom a mother’s day package that they are advertising on their website. Unfortunately for me, I could not do so because they were closed. I knocked on their door at 7:05pm because I could still see the receptionist sitting on her desk speaking on the phone. She didn’t stand up and simply signal they were closed although the closing hours on a Saturday is at 8pm. I am so annoyed because I had my heart set on trying this place but, they lack accountability for the guest and they simply don’t deserve my business. I hope that if they read this they stay open to the time they advertise on their website and property (it states you are open until 8p. m ON YOUR OWN DOOR). I had to move around my schedule to make it there and now I just wasted my time. You run a business you should try to be professional about it.

It takes a lot for me to write a review, but this place TOTALLY deserves it. I am always working and never really take time for a facial/​massage even when i managed a whole spa myself! I got a surgery that only allowed me to walk to certain places and certain distance, that’s when i decided to try out Aum Body & Soul Spa.
I have never felt more comfortable, peaceful and pampered as I did here. I decided for the 70min facial to get a deep cleanse. Neelam, carefully took care of me and left my skin GLOWING! when I got home, everyone noticed the difference, I have another facial booked in two weeks, might have to re-​schedule it to a week, I have never felt this good about my skin. The price is totally worth it, I am so happy I found this place, its like a hidden gem!

Every time I step inside this spa/​salon, I’m transported to a peaceful place. Neelam is such a godsend! She works on waxing/​threading eyebrows patiently and takes her time to make sure that your brows look perfect. In 3 years that I have been going there, not once have I ever felt rushed there.
My husband has attended yoga classes there, and loved it! Highly recommend all their services.

From the moment I walked in the door, the staff was absolutely wonderful and friendly with genuine interest in their job.
1^st time here; I found them on Unilocal and decided to check it out. I got just what I asked for. The service and job on my eyebrows was outstanding. The women who threaded my brows was so kind and wonderful at it. Complete with a relaxing room to lay down.
I am certainly looking to try out their Yoga and meditation classes.
The atmosphere and ambiance is so relaxing and balanced, with many meditation and yoga items for sale. I also saw incense, necklaces made of various crystals and chakra items. I am sure there was much than I originally caught.
I’ll be back, again and again.

Best massage EVER! Was in town on vacation and really needed to get the kinks worked out. Left feeling like a million bucks.

The best facial I have ever had. The facial was amazing. So much better than Bliss, Great Jones Spa, Elizabeth Arden etc. There was no feeling of being rushed or feeling like just another number. I am a NYC girl who recently moved to the other side of the Hudson. Aum is right up there or better than most spas in the city. A facial by Neelan is none like I have ever had. She has hands of a healer and experience to back it up.
I highly recommend Aum.

I have now been coming here for over a year for many different services and have never walked out unsatisfied.
I was very sick last year and spent months in pain and my doctor recommended I started with some light meditation and yoga to help relax my muscles. And that’s where my love affair with Aum spa started.
Yoga– every instructor at Aum I have worked with has been amazing (did not love the subs though). Jin in the morning has been my favorite. She helped me grow from being unable to do a decent position of any kind to being able to do handstands and hold any position for minutes with no problem. I went almost daily and even after trying other places for classes I always came back to Aum.
Facials– I have had a few facials, first from Neelan and most recently from Pam. It has always been relaxing and a wonderful, mostly painless experience and my face always feel great after.
Waxing and threading– I have not gone any where else since I started coming to Aum. The threading has made my eyebrows perfect and the waxing with the sugar wax is a lot less painless then other waxes I have had.
The atmosphere of this whole place is amazing and calming and super friendly. A must visit for anyone wanting to get a little more focused with their own body.

I just found out about this spa and very happy I decided to go. I have been here 2x in the last 2 weeks and will definitely be back.
Location/​Parking
It is very easy to access and is located in the Galaxy Towers. You can park in the guest parking lot and have your ticket validated.
Staff/​Services
The staff is very friendly and nice. The owner always says hello. The receptionist is friendly but it would be nice if she offered you tea or water while you are waiting to be called in. Pam, does facials and microdermabrasion, is excellent and a sweetheart! After the microdermabrasion, I got a mini-​facial. My face didn’t itch, hurt or have any discoloration after the session. I did have a little bit of redness but quickly went away. I don’t have any major skin problems but I had it done for prevention and maintenance (35yrs). This was my first session and people commented how bright and dewy my skin looked, Albert, the masseuse, gives fabulous massages. He really takes his time and works out the tension. He asks how you are feeling and what your problem areas are prior to the massage. During the massage, he asks how you are feeling. My favorite part is that he does some stretching (arms, back) which feels great. I
Spa
I love that they use Aveda products. The spa is clean, comfortable and spacious. The massage room is comfortable, dim, music is calming and leads to complete relaxation. The downside is that while they do have a coatroom, they don’t have lockers for your purse or clothes. If you are getting multiple services, you have to carry your belongings around. Also, there is no «relaxation» room. They have some ottomans and a long table with tea (which is great), water and books on it in the hallway leading to the massage rooms. Before/​after spa services, I prefer some downtime in a quiet dark room. There’s no sauna or showers either. I did see a shower in the shared bathroom but I haven’t used it. If they had these amenities, it would be a 5 star for me but everything else is wonderful so I will definitely go back.

This was my first facial ever done in a spa!
I decided to search on google for a great spa around where I live, and I found this great place. I decided to go to Aum Body and Soul Spa and I had a facial and eyebrow threading done. Neelan was so delicate with my skin, and she left my face glowing. After 35 minutes into the facial, I feel asleep! The relaxation music was just perfect. After I woke up, she had a nice warm cup of tea in her hand for me! She is sweet.
Ps.She gives such a great neck and shoulder massage.
I would definitely book more appointments here!

Rude staff and owner. Good yoga instructors. Pricy classes compared to other places nearby. Unlimited package is false advertising. Owner does not let you take more than one class a day.

I’m almost afraid to review this little gem out of selfish fear that it may become to busy.
I’ve been here twice, and plan to make many more future visits. My first visit was for a facial, where the amazing Neelan exfoliated my skin into a clean, dewy glowiness.
The second was for one of the best yoga classes that I’ve ever had.
The facial was awesome, though I admittedly don’t have tons of experience with them (it was only my 2^nd facial) the extractions were painless and my skin was literally glowing after I left. Aum uses all natura Aveda products. I thought it was pretty well priced too ($ 70 for 50 min, $ 90 for 70 min). There are a couple facials to choose from, but you can also opt to have Neelan choose the best one for your complexion (that’s what I did)
Aum also offers yoga and free guided meditation classes. I was so impressed by my first yoga class ($ 5 intro rate) that I immediately purchased a 10 class pack for $ 130. The studio space is small, and would fit 5 — 6 students max. The small size is the beauty of the space — it means you’re guaranteed a small class with lots of individual attention.

Aum spa has been exceptionally special for me. I started my yoga practice at their yoga studio. The studio is filled with energy and the classes are very spiritual as well as challenging. I like that the focus is not completely towards body workout which is usually the case in most places. The classes are small and the instructors pay great attention to each student.
About the spa services, I’ve seen an incredible change in my skin ever since I had my first facial here. I have tried very expensive and popular places for a facials in the past BUT this place is by far the BEST. Facials are very reasonably priced. Neelam aunty has been helping me with my acne problem for 6 – 7 months now and I’ve seen tremendous improvement. She takes care of all her customers like her family. I’ve been using her products including Ayurvedic medicines and they really work. I’ve traveled from washington DC, Florida … Just for the facials and its totally worth it.

Today I decided to go to Aum Salon for a guided meditation class at 9am. It was a beautiful day and I was in a great mood, so why not? So glad I rolled out of bed to take the class. The salon has a tranquil, soft-​lit meditation room with beautiful dark hardwood floors. Since I seemed to be the only one who had the idea to take a meditation class at 9am on a Sunday morning, I was the only client in the room with the instructor. It’s okay, but a little intimidating since all eyes (the pair from the instructor) were on me.
All-​in-​all, I’m glad I made it to he class. It was comfortable and serene and was what I was hoping for in a mediation session.
I also stayed for the yoga class that followed and took place on the upper level outside on the complex’s terrace. The NYC skyline was the backdrop and we placed our yoga mats on the beautifully manicured lawn. It was very «namaste».

I have known the owner of this spa, Neelam even before she started the spa. She is really good with pure magic in her hands. Not to mention her expertise with eyebrow shaping is great! She is fast and efficient in her waxing services also. I have never had any peeling or burns after the waxing. The spa’s aura is also great. Her facials are good because she analyzes your skin before proceeding with the facial.
I can go on and on but I guess my rating says it all!
