St. Jude Family Dentistry

My family and I have been going to St. Jude Family Dentistry for over 25 years! Dr. Afurong, Ms. Excella, Edwin and Sebastian are the most efficient, thorough, and down-​to-​earth people! Always taking the time to listen to my concerns, Dr. Afurong does an amazing job with my teeth! I always feel like I have that winning smile when I am done with my dental visit! Dr. Afurong and her staff are the BEST!!!

I mistakenly chose DMO during company insurance enrollment so I decided to choose a dentist in the plan close to home. I went to St. Jude for cleaning and the female dentist/​owner asked me what my insurance is, then she quickly checked me out and said that I need $ 3,000.00 worth of dental work. I said I just want my teeth cleaned but she said I need the dental work first. Then, she rudely turned away and started talking to another patient. Realizing that she was ignoring me, I decided to walk away.
Don’t go to St. Jude. The dentist over there who I think is Middle Eastern is out to get as much money from you as she can. It looks to me like she doesn’t want DMO patients although she is listed in the DMO plan. What a greedy dentist.
Next year, I will be back on PDO.
I decided to go back to my original dentist and told her that I made a mistake and chose DMO instead of PDO. I just need my regular dental cleaning and I am willing to pay in cash. She said that’s OK. She cleaned my teeth and said it is free. I said how come. She said because I have been a good customer before.
