On a lazy sunday afternoon, we were craving some rolls and spontaneously ordered delivery from this place… because why not? This place seemed to have good reviews. And the delivery was pretty fast. But the food was… mediocre. No, it was kinda gross actually. The avocado in my salmon avocado roll was too mushy thus overpowering, and the«spicy» salmon roll was not spicy at all. Just plain salmon roll was the best. My boyfriend did not like any of his rolls either… They were just gross and tasteless. We both agreed that we do not want to order from here anymore. It is sad to see that there are no decent sushi places around here unless you pay a lot of $$$. Oh well :(

Tokyo Fried Chicken was gummy and cold. Would not order from here again. Ordered from grub hub and it took an hour and a half to get here.

Ordered from them via GrubHub Said it would take 40 minutes, here in 20 minutes. $ 14 for 3 excellent rolls with salad or soup is a steal. Sushi is fresh, salads are crisp. Would recommend!

This is a byob establishment in Hackensack. It’s very small, but we managed to grab a table for 3 early on a Friday. The place has one TV which was tuned to CNN news(I don’t need the downer during dinner) but the audio wasn’t too loud. I wish thy were playing some music or something so that I didn’t feel like I needed to whisper to my friends. They had a deal where you could get 3 rolls and a soup for a very reasonable rate. One of us chose this special, the other 2 went for specialty rolls. All in all we had the dragon roll, Philadelphia, boston, California chicken tempura rolls. I’m not a huge sushi critic, but I really enjoyed it. My b.f. is a sushi savant lol and she really enjoyed it. The staff was very friendly, although it did take quite a bit to come out. I would definitely return to satisfy a sushi need.

My favorite place for easy local sushi takeout. You won’t find fancy sushi here, but their sushi is very fresh and you get nice big juicy pieces of fish lol. They have a large menu and you can here for AYCE, but I have only tried their sushi and sashimi specials. I always get the Salmon Special and it comes with Salmon Sushi and Spicy Salmon Crunch Roll. I love that they offer sushi with salmon only. Not too many places offer this on their menu. I also like that you can conveniently order using the grub hub app which is a huge plus! *Update* I ordered 4 orders of the Salmon Special and they made me the most beautiful platter plus gave me a 10% discount! I’m in sushi love!

One Friday, my colleague and I opted to order from Oyishi Sushi through GrubHub. I opted for the Sushi Lunch Special C with the tuna, salmon, and avocado roll along with 3 pcs tuna sushi and 3 pcs salmon sushi for $ 12. It comes with the choice of a miso soup or bottled water. Originally, I had also ordered 2 pcs of uni sushi(sea urchin) for $ 9 but they were out. They promptly called me to apologize and asked if I wanted something else for the same amount. When I informed them to just cancel the uni, they made sure the driver provided me my money back in cash. The woman on the phone was very polite and spoke eloquently, which made the transaction easy and simple. The driver did arrive promptly and had no difficulty finding the business, which I was thankful for. He also remembered to give me back my cash. He was very nice and I appreciated it. The sushi seemed very fresh and delicious. I was really happy with my meal. It may not be the best I’ve had yet but still very good. My friend ordered the Beef Teriyaki with California Roll Lunch Special also for $ 12. She loved her food also. All in all, we were satisfied and our colleagues looked longingly at our lunch as we ate. I will definitely order again from here.

The rolls were solid. Hot tea was on the house and the place is byo. Workers were really nice and I like that they staggered our rolls instead of bringing them out all at once. Also enjoyed the orchestra version of songs we all know that were playing there.

Food 2 Service 3 Ambiance 2.5 I respect several of the reviewers who reviewed the place, and thought this place would be good. It was not. They have some good specials, but overall the food was mediocre at best and some of the items was terrible. Skip the rock shrimp for sure. Most of the sushi is not that good, i would skip this place. I really wanted to like them as owners are nice but the food just didn’t cut it for me.

So i ordered from this place once before and forgot to take a photo so i couldn’t Unilocal… that time i did a pick up, but this time i was feeling lazy and didn’t want to leave the apartment… lucky for me they actually deliver to Fort Lee! So anyways, the delivery came on time and the sushi was actually pretty good! Got a spicy tuna and a dragon roll… The sushi was not fishy, had a nice consistency and good portion… I like how they neatly packaged it. I am pleasantly surprised and would order from them again while my fav place Picnic is still under construction.

Was craving sushi and Unilocaled a place close to home. I love giving local businesses a chance because we need them to stay in our neighborhoods. This place is cute and serves fresh ingredients including their fish. We started with their Age Tofu & fried oysters. I wasn’t expecting the tofu to come out as nuggets but nevertheless the presentation is key to make something so simple appetizing. The fried oysters in the menu said 3 but we got 5! I ordered the rainbow roll and my niece had the dragon roll actual I’m not sure but it has eel & snow crab… both fresh and delicious We had leftovers… good to have a snack for later I would definitely be back to try their other rolls.

Came here for dinner with some friends and had a good experience. You cannot beat the deals. You can get 2 rolls for $ 10 or 3 rolls for $ 14. I started by getting 2 and then upgraded to 3 while I was eating them. The sushi was fresh. The girl server was super helpful and attentive always refilling our water. BYOB. The electricity did go out twice while we were there and they apologized constantly. It didn’t really effect us. They gave us a whole plate of watermelon to finish our meal. THey also comped my friend’s gyoza — I think b/c they forgot to bring it out as an app, but we didn’t even complain and they still comped it. Its those little things that make me like this place. It is very small and not much to it, but I did enjoy it! VERYAFFORDABLE

The truth is I had order delivery from them 5 – 6 times all ready cause they open till late and close by. P.s that Unilocal app keep giving comments. Pretty demanding for a an app review

Okay so I am very much the New Yorker and sorry there are some things that are just a New York thing and are better in NY. So the sushi and overall bento box wasn’t that bad but is surely was sushi from NY. Don’t know if I’ll be motivated to return.

I was very excited when this place opened up near my office. I’m a big fan of sushi and a fan of places to add to my list of go-to lunch spots. Since they opened, my experiences have ranged from good, to okay, back to good. Not sure if that is due to new management, because I have noticed changes in staff. I can say, however, that ordering for pick-up and delivery has improved from when they first started out. They offer a fairly priced lunch special: 2 rolls for $ 10 or 3 rolls for $ 14 both with a choice of miso soup, salad, or spring water. The miso soup decent, I’ve had better, but you can’t go wrong with the amount you get when you order it as take-out. The sushi both tastes and looks fresh. I’ve also tried their chicken teriyaki take-out combo with gyoza. The chicken was good, not too fatty. Teriyaki sauce was tasty. But the gyoza could have been fried a little more. I like mine more crispy than soft. Here’s to hoping this place sticks around(pun intended ;)

Nice presentation of food but the quality is not the greatest. I’m not sure how this place managed to get 4.5 stars, but my coworker and I came in with high expectations that we’re not even close to being met. The rice was dry, the fish did not taste fresh, and the pickled ginger was tasteless. There was also no one here except us and two other people at peak dinner time. That should have been an obvious sign this place wasn’t the greatest. Wish we went somewhere else. But hey, at least we got some pretty pictures out of this trip.

Very modern and chic atmosphere in sprit of small size of dining area. Natural stone wall was impressive when I walked in. 5 – 6 tables for seating, small bar area is all for this sushi restaurant. They do take out as well as «all you can eat» from 5−10pm. Appetizer is various form salad to tempura. I like avocado tuna salad and shrimp tempura. Rock shrimp was okay, needs more seasoning I thought. Last few times of visit, fishes were generally fresh. But depend on which day you visit, I noticed some changes on freshness on each fish. Sashimi were good, sushi and rolls were right size without stuffing with lots of rice. My favorite roll was magic roll. I felt all the items in the roll made good balance in a bite. Spicy salmon roll or spicy tuna roll were good but not the best I’ve ever tasted. Presentation of the food was nice as well. Service was decent, BYOB is good option but it would be better if server knew how to open the wine bottle. We had to wait for a while to get wine bottle opener, because owner is the one who knows. In spite of we were the only one table there, that was kinda disappointing. People like me who loves sushi but doesn’t like typical buffet setting, this place is the one. Hope this restaurant will last long. So I can fulfill my sashimi cravings once in a while. Metered Parking in the street is never a problem.

For a fairly new place, this sushi joint is running smoothly. The owner used to own another Japanese place in the Bronx and his experience is definitely shining through. The restaurant is small with 4 four seater tables and one 2 seater table. Also, everyone does the AYCE(best value compared to a la carte) which means long dinners and slow turnovers. This was not a problem on a quiet Monday night but I can see a long wait for a Fri or Sat night. AYCE($ 21.99 pp) is based off the a la carte menu and you order with a server who encourages you to order in small batches. Best game plan is to start with a miso and the tuna avocado salad then work through a platter of sashimi and end with a roll or two. For an AYCE, I found the sashimi very fresh minus the octopus which was hard and frozen. The rolls also done right with more fish than rice. No green tea ice cream here tho :( It’s BYOB so bring the sake!

A brand new gem has opened in Hackensack, and it happens to serve sushi. Oyishi offers quant menu but where it lacks in quantity, they make up for quality. They also offer an amazing all you can eat deal for $ 21.99 pp on Mondays where you can order anything and everything from the menu. Plus the staff are ultra friendly. Try them out. Yums!!!
