Arrived and seated promptly. Greeted by very friendly and courteous waitress Amy. Order taken and food was delicious. Nice atmosphere. Fresh salad bar. Only issue booths are tight for men. We will be back!

Horrible. I didn’t know it was possible to mess up diner food. Eggs were not fully cooked. Meat tasted old. Even the orange juice was nasty. The interior of the restaurant is disgusting. If this were the last diner in New Jersey I wouldn’t go.

We love this classic NJ diner. Tracy is the most pleasant waitress in the place. Just wonderful lady. Food is awesome never had a bad meal. Excellent service. Fair Prices. Try the Diamond cheese steak sandwich. Its my favorite. Stop in and tell Tracy I sent you. You’ll love the place.

Once again at the Diamond. Had the chicken ala vodka. Enough to feed two people. Usually heavy w/tons of cheese on top. This time it was a nice saucy sauce with just the right about of cheese. It was excellent! Also had a cup of their vegetable soup which was also excellent. All this good with the salad bar, and I’m a happy camper. I apparently got the right cook tonight.

Pricey for breakfast, but quantity is more than enough. I ordered the two eggs cooked over-easy with corned beef hash and it came with a side of toasts and home fries.($ 9) I also ordered a side of bacon which were pretty expensive($ 3.50). The food didn’t taste bland, and they did not skimp on quantity. The eggs were cooked over-easy and complemented the buttered white toasts. The crunchy and savory corned beef hash was served on a separate plate. My biggest disappointment was the home fries which was dry, bland, and boring. It looks like they just sliced a bunch of potatoes and fried it on a dry pan without seasoning or butter. Ordering the side of bacon was my biggest regret because I only got four slices for $ 3.50, that’s $ 0.87 per slice. The bacon was definitely crunchy and very, very good(what bacon doesn’t taste good?!), but then again, I could have bought a pack of bacon at $ 3.50 and eat until I explode. As for the service, it’s what you would expect at a typical diner: quick, efficient, minimal talking.

Stopped in for coffee & dessert tonight with friends. The coffee was delicious, but all 4 desserts were terrible. Old, dry chocolate cake, apple pie a la mode & strawberry cheesecake. Just awful! Now I know why you don’t list desserts on your menu… they’re absolutely inedible!

Went here yesterday with mom for her birthday. Wanted to celebrate by having my mom enjoy a seafood dinner… very disappointing. Mom ordered the«Broiled stuffed shrimp with crabmeat» What arrived was TWO very small overcooked, rubbery shrimps buried under large mounds of crabcake mixture. Yes…you would think that would be trade off, but nope! The mixture had very little CRAB, plenty of mayo, potato and mystery items. On the positive side, the macaroni & cheese side dish was good. Shame to say I have had better there before. Seems the ownership is going the cheap route. the POS system broke down a month ago… they decided not to replace it. The staff is doing checks the old way(hand writing). Confuses the kitchen crew(reading english). Strange that my selection(Fried Seafood Trap) aka Combo was actually decent. Except for the storebought breaded shrimp, a unknown fish fillet(not flounder) as they described the breaded scallops were the stars of this entrée. Four big battered breaded sweet tasting and not overcooked were the saving grace of this poor presentation. We wanted to have dinner at John & Molly’s…but since my mom doesn’t move fast enough anymore, we were late getting there(5:25pm) the place was PACKED. Fridays after 5pm… John & Molly’s does a fantastic business with seafood and other items. Mom was looking forward to having Clams Casino and Mussels… well maybe next month we’ll try again… Mom you have got to move faster!

Many years ago, I remembered visiting Diamond Diner to enjoy some comfort foods and was treated fairly well by friendly staff. It seems that over time this diner has lost much of its charm and warmth. The quality of this diner’s food has now plummeted significantly and this decline shows also with this establishment’s staff. Every item I have tried since like their corned beef hash, gyro sandwich, and spinach ravioli are all subpar, vile, and disgusting. The worst part about these experiences is not that the taste of the food, but that such abysmal food is also expensive. If you decide to dine here anyway, I advise you to avoid any of their creative items and stick with the safer diner basics like eggs and coffee. A shame as I used to like this place. I hope this diner can improve, but it seems all downhill from here.

Give you a lot of food for a really good price, lots of items to choose from. Salad bar is limited but everything is fresh. Staff is super friendly and welcoming. I ordered the chicken parm and it came with soup and salad and by the end of the night I couldn’t move(so much food) but super good here

This is a good diner with quality food. I don’t particularly love this one but I know I can always come here for a good meal. The staff in general is friendly but every so often I’ve gotten a cold waitress. Service is always prompt and I’ve never had to wait for a table. The hours are good but this diner is not 24⁄7. Some love this diner but for some reason I just don’t. To me it just doesn’t have the feel I like a diner to truly have.

We have visited this dinner many times for breakfast. Unfortunately I cannot comment about lunch or dinner. The food is what I call average. The breakfast dishes are pretty good but if you have the home fries, you will see they are very bland and not very crispy. If you want them to taste better you have to have them cook them well done and then season them at your table with salt and pepper. The atmosphere is very nice and clean. The wait staff was friendly but hit and miss as far as the overall service is concerned. The hostess(the owner I suspect) was not very friendly and barely spoke, I did not feel welcome. We finally decided to stop going there because each time we walk out we have complained about the high prices for breakfast.

This diner is below average, food is hot but tasteless, coffee is bad even for a diner. Service was friendly but sloppy. To top it off it’s more expensive than the place we normally frequent.

Pretty much standard diner breakfast items. They do have Breakfast Specials, which provide juice and coffee for about an additional 50 cents from the open menu. This is a good deal — however, they lost a ½ star for service and having to ask to waiter to take our bacon back to the kitchen for more cooking. We were in the area after fasting for blood work so the next time we are in Lumberton, we’d return but there are better diners closer to home.

Been here so many times! Love the place love the staff and most importantly love the FOOD! Delicious every time. The prices are very affordable in fact very cheap! I’m surprised by the negative comments because this place can get really packed which means they must have something good brining all those customers in! Love love love this place.

I’ve been going to this diner occasionally for 7 years now. Overall the food is pretty good but their eggs are always WAY over cooked. The wait staff is really nice but on several occasions my wife and I witnessed the boss(I assume he was) treating his staff horribly. Instead of pulling them aside to talk to them privately, he would openly argue and belittle them. It was very unprofessional and left anyone who saw it feeling uncomfortable. The last straw I had with this place was when an elderly man passed out in the lobby and not one of the staff did anything to help. Myself and another patron were the only ones to attempt to help. It was shameful.

Walk through the front door. The next thing you will experience is, that the hostess gets easily frazzled by Sunday morning breakfast crowds. She forgets how to say good morning, she forgets how to say pretty much anything really… Food was ok, waitress was very pleasant. Nothing special, other than the lack of interest on the hostesses part.

It’s not my favorite diner in Jersey, but it’ll do in a pinch. They have a pretty great early bird special that gives you soup, salad bar, entrée and dessert for between $ 8 for pasta entrees and up to $ 18 for fish/meat– I’ve never been able to finish everything because the portion sizes are insane. The bread pudding is amazing. Overall I’d say that if you’re driving by it’s worth a stop, but not worth a special trip.
