I stopped in here back in late march with my aunt and a family friend. My aunt has purchased a few items here in the past. I was looking for a unique gift to bring back to my mom from Hawaii and I found the cutest turtle made of glass for her here. They were even nice enough to pack it for me very securely to make sure it made it back to the mainland with me safely and in one place. I would like to call and see if they have any more of the turtles like the one I bought for my mom and possibly order one as a gift for a friend and have it shipped to me, providing that the do such a thing.

Stopped in here after lunch and got to talking to the owner(I think). Very sweet older(84) yo woman about glass and what some of the animals such as the turtle and dragon mean to the Island People. She is very nice, sharp as a tac and so interesting to talk to. She is full of knowledge of the cute town of Halewia being born there and can you all the great places to visit while staying. They have beautiful glass items and promise that your item will make it home without breaking, she said she guaranteed it! You can even watch the glass items being made.

This is a great place to watch, learn and purchase glass sculptures in the laid back surfer and hippy town of Haleiwa on the north shore of Oahu. You can watch the glass craftsman through the window blowing heat on glass and crafting a new Hawaii inspired decorative art piece, beautifully made and magically designed, most sitting on polished driftwood pieces. The price are reasonable, and there are even some discount pieces made by apprentice glass blowers. Most of the glass creations are local creatures, like turtles, dolphins, sea horses, etc., although they had some nice Dragons and other pieces as well. They are all beautiful. The pressure to sell is pretty high, as two girls are right on top of you for service, but they are not pushy. They pack it up real good for you if you are taking it home for a souvenir, and they even say if you break it, you don’t own it. Not sure what happens after you do, and I wasn’t going to try and find out.

Gorgeous glass. You can watch it being made, which is also cool. They’ll even guarantee it against breakage on the flight back to wherever you’re heading.
