It is fine, just fine. We went for the Thursday dinner special, lamb chops, and the food was good, not fantastic, just good. Wait service is a little slow but fine. I recommend going to the Miramar before sundown, because the view is priceless, and that is the best reason to go to the Miramar. Ask for a window table and enjoy the view. Also, their seafood chowder is excellent.

After being seated by our lovely hostess, we waited over 15 minutes and wait staff didn’t even acknowledge us. We also noticed that Happy Hour drink prices were exactly the same as regular drink prices — no price break. Does that make a HAPPY hour? We left.

My family ate dinner here on Friday night. Service was good, but food was basic and bland, and over priced. I had cioppino which had a good amount of seafood but a bland sauce which reminded me of Campbell’s tomato soup. Another person had a filet mignon that looked more like a New York. Side dishes included basic broccoli and rice. All ok but nothing impressive.

Well the view is great! Unfortunately this is a restaurant not a vista. Went with the gf on a «meet the parents» excursion. Always love an excuse to hit the coast. Anyway this is an old school place with old school charm, but the kitchen really needs to level up. Everything was heavy handed and not well prepared. I had the blackened corvina which was a nice fresh piece of fish but way overseasoned(«Cajun Spice Mixture»?) and overcooked to boot. If the side rice wasn’t Rice-a-Roni the staff should be commended for making an indistinguishable clone of the original. Cole slaw was throw away. I also went for the raw oysters app — bad move. They came lukewarm NOT iced which is always a bit scary, and they were just not good — small, dry, and not flavorful. On the plus side, the oysters didn’t make me sick, so there’s that. Probably would have sent them back but thought better of embarrassing my dining companions. Too soon for them to know I’m «that guy». Staff was inexperienced and harried. I ordered a beer which sat on the bar long enough for me to get up and get it myself. Bar tender seemed nice and gave me a knowing glance. I probably should have tipped him separately. Sorry Miramar, but I hate looking at the ocean and having to eat crappy seafood. Next time: Barbara’s. Hopefully they’re still good.

Great food, great view, great music & a history lesson in one night. I had grilled prawns with rice & vegetables & it was really good. My husband & kids ate every thing off the plate & so did I.

First time in and chose the patio dining as it was a beautiful evening. Valet parking is free minus tip but a nice extra in my opinion. The views at sunset are breathtaking! I had oysters and scallops and both were very good! Not the best but right up there. Seems to be lots of kids and kid friendly. Can’t wait to take my wife here next time out to CA.

I go here a few times per year as my kids love the patio. The food is okay, though a bit overpriced, but what ocean view place isn’t? The service can be great one day, spotty the next. While the food is $, the portions are big. Overall, I enjoy the place.

Great food, great view. They have a nice bar and a live piano player. We enjoyed ourselves.

The views are epic and the food is really good. I wish they had more options for customers that don’t like seafood. Yes I do understand the irony of that statement, but my wife loves seafood and I’m not a fan.

The food was pretty good, however the service was bad. Our waitress had no personality. The host staff left us standing mid restaurant while they helped another customer.

1) Watered down cocktails to start. Inauspicious beginning. 2) Risotto ISNOTEVER made by pouring chicken stock on pre-cooked rice, stirring in seafood, then nuking in the microwave. Turn in your chef card immediately. 3) Seriously, bottled Thousand Island dressing on a half assed crab louis? How bloody lazy can you be? I asked the server for a couple of condiments and some pepper in a futile attempt to salvage that mess. Inedible. 4) On the bright side, our server was very polite. 5) He wasn’t very damn good at his job though. The oysters Miramar are about the only edible thing on the menu, and even they have been dropping in quality. Personally speaking, the kitchen in the Miramar Beach Inn needs a healthy dose of ass kicking.

The view is terrific. However, if you think the martinis are small, just wait until you see the Caesar salad. The food, drinks and service have suffered greatly during the recession. Try Sam’s a few blocks away.

Overpriced for quality of food. Had higher expectations. On a week night asked if we had a reservation and treated like we were accomodated when only 4 tables were taken.

We had our Meet Up there last night on Cioppino night. It was delicious. The waiter was fun and really attentive. As Ryan said if you want to impress your date there are a couple of really nice areas to sit — one where there’s just one table and a fireplace — ahhhh, so romantic. They’re having specials right now — don’t know if this is a regular thing. But we had Cioppino, salad and garlic bread for 20 bucks — what a deal! On the 14th they’re having prime rib. So check out their site and get over there for dinner — you won’t be disappointed.

Amazed this was not on the list. If you want a romantic dinner for 2, this is the place for you. Restaurant is set in the 1920s area, with a piano player on the weekends. If you reserve a table, you will be seated near the large bay windows over looking the beach. Make your reservations for the sunset dinner and you will not be disappointed. The price is a bit high, but if its romance your looking for it could be a whole lot more expensive. An example, I had Steak and Lobster, my wife had Filet Mignon, a bottle of red wine, dessert and 2 hours of exceptional service for under $ 200. This place has it all, take your date here and you will be in for one hell of an evening.
