We visit it PrimeBar yesterday. Our destination was Yard House, which is a superb eatery with great service but due to the Heat Maverick game it was full so we went across the courtyard to PrrimeBar. The service was good, not as good as Yard House but good. Our server was pleasant and when one of the orders was over cooked, she change it without hesitation. As far as the food it was fairly bad. We order the szechuan shrimp with pasta. The pasta was precook, probably came from a factory already prepared really bad. The shrimps were okay but not great, the sauce very spicy but the server warned us. We also ordered a Burger and the Tuna Tacos. None of the food items we order impressed us. The setup of the restaurant is nice, we eat in the Terrace. I frankly believe that if this restaurant was not across Yard House in Gulfstream, getting some of the overflow of Yard House, it would already be closed. Why people spend a lot of money building a Restaurant and do not hire a great chef amazes me. We will not be back to PrimeBar and we do not recommend it. It is better to wait at the Yard House than it at Prime Bar

Beautiful place, Tuesday is the best happy hour ever. $ 5 gourmet burgers(usually $ 12) ‚$ 3 draft import beers from a good beer menu. Service has always been good if a little slow sometimes but not out of the ordinary for S FL.

It’s been six months and I’m still craving their macaroni and cheese(big enough to split, by the way.) The waitress was very nice and got all our orders right. We had a birthday girl in our party and the waitress was cool about keeping our cake until the right time. Drinks were good. Plus, I checked into Foursquare and got a free appetizer. Score! Great place for a Girls Night Out or pre-bachelorette dinner.

The time to to to this place is Tuesday night when the burgers are $ 5. The disappointing thing is that there are only 3 burgers to choose from; however, the burger I chose was very good and you can’t beat the price. My waitress was really friendly and she refilled my water and checked on me very attentively. I also ordered a caesar salad and I substituted a baked potato for the fries which is a great option. The dessert was ok. I will go back to this place on Tuesday for the $ 5 burgers but it’s probably too expensive to eat at regularly.

Service is always so-so but the food and drinks are excellent! We always play at the casino and eat here almost every time that we do. They have this amazing spicy I believe asian? pasta dish with shrimp and snow peas! It is soooooo good! Their drinks are amazing as well! I believe we had the mango martini and pomegranate? or something along those lines. Not too sweet but not too dry either.

This place should be call Primebarf. Beers took at least 10 minutes to arrive at the table, food took TWOHOURS. Why did we wait? Well, that’s an excellent question. I wish I knew. Luckily, they comped our beers after the first round. When our food finally came, it was terrible. Cold and missing things described in the menu. We saw our waitress maybe 3 or 4 times during our whole 3 hour stay. She must’ve been a hostess forced to work the tables or something. It was shameful. SHAMEFURDISPRAY! This place is a paradox of bad service. They can’t afford to hire adequate service because their service is so bad. LOL. Do yourself a favor and go next door to the Yard House. You’re going to wait at least an hour to eat at Primebar anyway.

Terrible. Terrible. Terrible. My review focuses solely on the service because I never got to the food. Allow me to explain. I went there on a Friday night arriving just before 8pm to celebrate a co worker’s birthday. How big was the party? 2. When we got there there was no hostess near the entrance so we walked in. we stood there looking disoriented while the staff just walked past us. I finally stop someone and ask them if we need to be seated or if we should seat ourselves. he stated that the hostess went to the kitchen but would be right back. we waited over 5 minutes for her to get back. then she flies over to the table where shes seating us almost leaving us behind. we looked over the menu and chatted for about another 5 – 10 minutes before we realized no waiter came to our table! so i looked around for one to see if i could at least grasp their attention. the waiter serving the table next to us took their order, came back and brought their appetizer, then came back and brought their food, then came back to check on them, looked me in the face each time and never once came over to our table. not even to ask if someone was taking care of us. so we got up and left. what horrid service. I work nearby and I am in the service field I would not recommend this place to anyone. No wonder the yardhouse was full! we opted for the Irish pub since we have never been. the service was phenomenal and we had a great time! so go there or the yardhouse instead. Primebar is a joke.

Outdoor bar ambiance really kool. Bartenders really great and patient with sampling the various drafts. Had the calamari app w/habañero salsa, muy delicioso! The only problem is the portion size, a bit small for calamari apps which are usually generous Overall very good experience.

It was a tale of Murphy’s Law on a recent Saturday night. After an hour of sipping cocktails while waiting for our food, we stopped the waiter to ask what the deal was. He went to the back of the house. The manager came to our table. Gives some completely comedic schpiel about 3 cooks: 1 is in the back, cooking for his life; 1 is on the way to the hospital after slipping and breaking his arm; 1 never showed up for work and is now likely unemployed. At least that’s what we were told. Who knows what was really going on back there. I was disappointed that no mention was made of comping some of our drinks or even my friend’s soup as a gesture of goodwill. It was pretty much, «Well we know you’ve been sitting here a solid hour, waiting on food that your guess is as good as mine as to when it’s coming out but oh well. You should probably leave. But if you decide to stay, it’s coming… sometime this year.» And that is really a shame because other than that, the service had been stellar and the food(which actually came out about 10 minutes later) was outstanding. I ordered the burger and have been thinking about it ever since — it was super-juicy and the individual flavors all came together perfectly. Also, there’s a Fire/Ice cocktail that I was told had a hint of a kick but wasn’t too spicy. My mouth is still burning just *thinking* about that drink. Waaaay spicy. Drink it only if you dare!

Happy hour from 4−7PM that includes $ 5 glasses of wine and half priced appetizers. I came here with a group of girls recently and we ended up sitting outside by the bar. The best part about this space is truly the outside bar so it was only natural that we sat right beside it. Primebar has a great selection of small appetizers including the hummus, sliders and calamari that my girlfriends and I noshed on. Besides the food being pretty good, the service was just as good too. Our waitress even gave us an extra round of wine even though the 7PM mark had passed. I definitely recommend this spot if you’re in the area.

Bad, bad, bad !!! First time I came here, I had beers and couple of appetizers. The selection of beers and other alcohol is great. The outdoor bar and huge TVs are also great. And that’s all !!! The food is horrible !!! Couple months after my first visit I came here again, thinking that the first time I came there it was an off night. NOPE !!! Food was awful again. My salad had dark, wilted leafs and the rest of my party didn’t like their good either. The server had no clue what she was talking about and took forever to bring out beers, and even after all that she still messed up our order. The last straw, that made me write this review was the New Year’s Eve night. Unfortunately, my friends who never been here wanted to come here for NYE. I tried to talk them out of it. I came with no expectations at all. But even than they figure out how to screw up. They didn’t set up our reservation, so we had to stand their and wait while they move table around to sit 25 people. The food for horrible. Everything was cold, overcooked, and OVERPRICED(it was a preset menu). We ordered midnight campaign toast at 11pm, asking the server for it to arrive 15 minutes before midnight. We got it at 12:45, and we said we no longer wanted it, they said too bad you are getting charged for it anyway. Yardhouse, just across from this place is sooooooooooo much better !!!

The five star rating is for the outdoor bar(we never actually went into the other part of the bar/restaurant) and I feel very strongly that they deserve the highest rating. To begin with, the set up of the 7 or 8 giant TVs surrounded by outdoor seating is absolutely ideal for a Sunday afternoon of football, or a drink at midnight with friends and family. One of the four times we went was fairly windy, but even still, the amiance of this bar is really perfect, and I wish there was a place like this in Tacoma, although the weather would rarely permit such an awesome experience. The drinks were a bit pricy but still delicious and my favorite had to be the fire and ice martini. With jalapeño juice and ruby red vodka, this drink left me feeling like I was ready to salsa. I am a huge fan of the flavor of jalapeño, however, so I daresay this drink probably isn’t for everyone. Calamari — Perfectly cooked, lightly breaded, and a very generous portion for the price. I actually had it on two seperate occasions here as well, and both times the whole group was happy(even though i ate most of it before they noticed it was gone). The aioli it was served with was very good, although a tad on the simple side. Either way, top notch. Hummus and(Pita Crackers?) — Whatever it was that the hummus was served with, they were really delicious. It also came with giant cucumber slices and tons of olives, and was absolutely delicious. Generally speaking, I tend to avoid getting hummus at a restaurant, but I was in the mood for something lighter on one of our visits and this really hit the spot. We weren’t even able to finish it either, although that could have been due to the two cute latinas handing out free beer to promote their brand. They also receive five stars… or six… I would have liked to try more off of their very extensive menu, but my parents believe in eating normal sized portions which I will probably never understand =D

Pretty good place but certainly not memorable in any way. Decent bar food, nicely priced drinks and a nice outdoor bar. If Gulfstream attracted more people I think this place would be much better but it was a bit empty like every other place there. I’d go back, but just not sure when…

Came to Gulfstream to eat at the Yard house, but because there was going to be a 1 hours wait decided to eat here instead.(The restaurant had 3 other patrons, while Yard house was just across, three times as large and PACKED. This should have warned me) The kept us waiting for 30 minutes before taking the order, got the orders wrong and THEN couldn’t even split the check correctly by charging one of us $ 15 and the other the rest for some strange reason.(we asked to have it split in half — how can you get that wrong?) ughhhh…

Servers are really trying, but I’ve never sent back a burger in my life, and I sent back TWO tonight.(yes, I’m writing this shortly after I just ate at the place.) Ironically, if you look at the review from Vanessa P.(7÷8÷10) it was the opposite reason: Hers showed up way underdone, and mine were way overdone when I ordered medium rare. With thin, fast food-style patties, it’s understandable that they can’t do them med-rare, but TELL me they only come out well done. I can order something else or go down the street for a big, fat juicy burger. The bartender, Richard, noticed things not working and insisted on trying to get me something else.(Though he never comp’d me a beverage while I waited.) Unfortunately, they overcompensated on the steak I ordered as a replacement … it was well seared on the outside, but cold inside … like seared tuna almost. I was hungry by that point, and«rare» is more edible to me than well done, even if it’s «very rare.» The $ 3 beer of the month special was good. I might have beverages there again, but I’ll be hard pressed to give them my food dollars.

Came here for my boyfriend’s 21st birthday. We first wanted to eat here but were in a rush so I asked the server there if we can go in and out really quickly. She was(thankfully) honest and told us that they have been having issues in the kitchen all night and that they’re really backed up. We were impressed with her honesty and decided to come back later on for drinks. Our server then was the general manager who was extremely informative and pleasant. He recommended an amazing dessert sampler. If you go there, save room for this dessert! Later on in the night, the general manager himself made my boyfriend a drink on the house and then chatted with us for a few more minutes. We’re definitely coming back! Great service, drinks, and dessert.

Been to Primebar a couple times for drinks but finally ate there last night. First of all, the restaurant is a really nice space on the inside and out. The service has always been pleasant and the live music is a nice touch. The drinks at this place are strong(which is a good thing). Most restaurants in the area, save Bourbon Steak, don’t know how to make a good drink. Primebar does, and they have a huge draft selection to boot. The menu is pretty expansive which makes this a good place to take almost anyone. In addition, there are a ton of specials on any given night. Our party started with a couple flat breads and a tuna sashimi. Everything was tasty, and unlike the previous reviews, quick. For entrees one of us had a burger, one had the tuna steak special, one had pork tacos and another the bento box(4 items that changes daily). We all were real happy with our meals. The restaurant is at Gulfstream Village which is a great place to go at night. You leave your place and there are 3 or 4 other bars with live music on any given night.

My boyfriend and I came here about a week after Prime Bar opened and we figured we’d give it a try. For a Friday night there was no wait, which is always a plus. Our waiter was friendly enough and the restaurant itself is nice inside with dim lighting and modern interior decorations. There are also two bar areas, one inside and the other outside, both with fat screen TVs in the center to please any sports fan. Food: I ordered the Tuna Tacos and my boyfriend ordered a burger. Although the restaurant didn’t seem *too* busy, the food took a long time to come out. What’s ironic is that despite the wait time, my boyfriend’s burger was almost rare — he asked for it medium well. We asked if they could cook it some more and they took it back, brought him a new one. Unfortunately it was almost the same — barely cooked. We repeated this process ONE more time and the same thing — almost rare. 3 times! At this point we were ready to pay, leave, and not make a big deal about it. However, one of the employees was walking around to each table asking how everything was. We explained our situation and he was very apologetic and said he would take it back and make sure they got it right. They also offered to comp our meals. We told them that wasn’t necessary, but he insisted. I was torn between two stars or one, but considering they were eager to make things right I figure the hiccups were because the place is new. As for my tacos, they were good. The taco shell was a little chewy instead of crispy, but the fish tasted fresh. I think this place would be a pretty solid restaurant if their cooks got their act together. Maybe we’ll come back in a few months and give it another shot.

So Prime Bar just opened at Gulfstream Village in Hallandale — apparently its part of a larger chain with 8 to 10 restaurants across the country(not all called Prime Bar) — its very good looking restaurant with a nice outdoor area as well as the interior — menu reads very well — American Bistro fare — and prices are good. We were psyched! It was busy but not slammed — we got one of the last tables. Waitress was sweet but a ditz — did not know what a Margarita is(yes really!) and was not able to answer our(very simple) questions about the menu — oh well! She was also exceptionally slow and just not very good — but she WAS nice! We ordered and waited and waited and waited — while waiting the manager(we think) stopped by and we had a nice conversation — told him how attractive the restaurant was etc. — all positive stuff — he seemed pretty clueless though — said some kinda odd things and had never heard of or . hmmmmm? Then a while later out walks the bus boy with our appetizer and 2 main courses! We couldn’t believe it — after the lame waitress and very long wait — we were expected to eat all our courses together?! I gestured for the bus boy to come around my side as I didn’t want to yell at him across the table(rude, uncouth) I wanted to be polite in telling him it just wasn’t OK. He snapped ‘is something wrong?’ — major attitude — I nodded and said ‘yes as it happens’ — he threw down the 3 plates(yes threw — food came off the plates on to the table) and yelled ‘then I’ll get the manager’ and stomped off to the kitchen! We could see him yelling at someone through the glass of the kitchen door. The hostess came over — she was the only person in the whole place who was professional and knew what she was doing — she apologized profusely and asked to make amends — we thanked her — she was genuinely trying but we told her we’d rather just pay for our drinks and leave — ‘cut our losses’ — she offered to pack up the food(which looked good in fact!) so we could take it with us for free — but we said thanks but no. The manager then came over — and also apologized — but was weird about — I actually think he might have been a little bit drunk(?!) — needless to say we left — they did not make us pay for our drinks — fair enough. It was such a bizarre situation! And a shame because the evening had started out well and the restaurant seemed very promising! Truth is they have stiff competition in Gulfstream Village — Brio, Cantina Laredo, Texas de Brazil etc. — all beautiful restaurants with good to excellent food, all very professionally managed with good to excellent service and all are well-priced. Prime Bar is really going to have to get its act together VERY quickly if it is going to do well. The signs suggest it won’t but I hope I am wrong!
