Granny’s Pancake House & Grill

Terrific no-​frills, classic American breakfast here. Pancakes and waffles are ginormous, eggs are done perfectly as you ask (sunny side, scrambled, omelet, you name it), and heck even the coffee is good! Great for families if you’re passing by and in need of some good grub. It’s not too large of a place, but you can expect it to be filled up in the mornings… so get your breakfast game on and get ova’ there!
Will be sure to come back if around the area. The staff is great and friendly, almost like you’re at home sipping on a cup o’ warm joe and eating some delicious, fluffy pancakes with crispy bacon on top…

This place is AMAZING! The pancakes are huge and soooo delicious. Their Southern Breakfast is also excellent. You really can’t go wrong here. It’s a small, very casual place where the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel like you’re family. I went with a party of 12 and the staff could not have been more warm/​friendly. They were also efficient and got out orders right. If you’re in the area, you MUST try this place. I went when I was staying at the nearby Minerals Resort.

Every time we visit NJ we always stop at Granny’s! Although busy, we are seated in a good amount of time. Coffee refills come often, the pancakes are to die for and how they get the home fries to be perfectly crispy on the outside but soft on the inside I’ll never know. Everyone who serves you has a smile and is willing to go above and beyond. The great service and excellent food makes it our favorite stop for the past 10 years.

Delicious waffles and pancakes. Super awesome bacon that crumbles if not careful. I love it. Don’t forget to ask for some home made whipped cream. That on top of the waffles with fruit was just too good. Wish I could eat like that everyday! Nice ladies that make you feel at home, filling up your cup with coffee like every minute! That by itself is just crazy awesome!!!

Friendly place. Very attentive service and excellent breakfasts. Belgian waffle was cooked perfectly — light and tasty. Omelettes are filling an interesting. If i has one tiny gripe, it was that the only available hot sauce is Tabasco — but I could eat here every day.

Loved this place! Was in the area this past weekend for my brother’s wedding and we ended up eating here both mornings. The folks who work here could not be nicer and the food & service was excellent. Great menu, relatively inexpensive, and a nice family-​oriented feel. Very glad we trusted the other Unilocal reviews and stopped by.
The pancakes, corn hash, omelets, and waffles were all delicious. Wish we had more places like this out in California!

The go to place, today makes my 5^th time here and I haven’t been disappointed yet! I’ve had pancakes, waffles, omelets and of coarse bacon, sausage and home fries. And today I had chicken and waffles, I expected to see it plated a little different also not a chicken Brest BUT with that gravy it didn’t matter what was on that plate, this is not a big place so expect to wait if it’s on the weekend, wait staff is very nice and the waitress I had was VERY VERY Nice lol she was just like my granny. This is a nice gem in the area and defiantly worth it, however if you have an infant it may not

I am so impressed with Granny’s Pancake House. As soon as I walked in the entire staff made me feel at home. Everyone was beyond friendly, I must’ve been greeted with a cheerful «Good Morning!» from everyone that works there. It was so refreshing. In addition to the atmosphere and staff being so welcoming and warm, the food was legit awesome.
I ordered the Banana & Chocolate Chip Pancakes and was so satisfied. You can expect hugeeeee pancakes loaded with banana’s and chocolate chips topped with powdered sugar, so delicious. They also gave me a generous portion of whipped cream on the side. What a great way to start my day. I got some bacon on the side as well, I ordered it well done and it came out crispy and perfect.
Whenever I am in the area again, I’m stopping here for breakfast. Excellent food, friendly staff, cute/​quaint atmosphere, what a pleasant morning I had!

OMG!!! I can’t believe I’ve been coming to this area over 20 years and I have just now found this gem!!! On my 27^th wedding anniversary no less!!! WOW!!! Great food, great prices and Betty and Betty are two absolute dolls!!!

No frills breakfast & lunch joint in Hamberg NJ. Plain olé décor backed up by a terrific and friendly wait staff with great food at reasonable prices.

We love this place. They are always friendly, and make the food to your order, and it is never greasy… lots of good nicely cooked food for the price. We have been going for over 10 years, and never ever one complaint with the food!

Basic diner food with good flavor. Waiters have always been nice. We ate here twice and both times I ate sandwiches, the Chicken Salad is delicious!

It’s not so much the food but the service. The waitresses remind me of the new VW campaign. They are quite the characters. We were privileged to meet all 4 generations! I had the OMG burger, what more to say but «oh my» after the first bite. You want fresh coffee? They have it, and your cup never goes empty. They had gluten free choices for my gluten free wife. If you are ever around there go check it out– you won’t be disappointed! Even the patrons are friendly and join in the banter if your personality allows it!

Holy cow, I can’t even begin to describe how amazing their multigrain french toast is! It comes topped with fresh seasonal berries and a side of turkey sausage. This is the perfect breakfast spot to stop at on your way to Grand Cascades Resort! We’ll definitely be back!

Inviting & welcoming… small restaurant but good food. Nice country breakfast, good coffees. Kids loved it to. Prices was great!

Pretty decent back country breakfast spot. Really simple décor with a homey feel. Definitely not too polished. Breakfast fare was good, pretty straight forward stuff. Eggs were cooked well. Home fries were a little off, probably due to old or dirty oil. The highlight was the Eggs Benedict. Although the poached eggs were fairly over done, the Hollandaise was pretty good. Jury is still out as to wether or or it was powdered or prepackaged. I would return to this place if I was in the area.

This place is great for kids and it has high quality food at a low price. When I first entered, I didn’t have high expectations, but then I realized what a nice place it was. My family, a family of 4, had a bill of only $ 35. I also had a bloody nose and our waterer gave me napkins and didn’t go «eww» or anything like that. Finally, our waterer was fun and asked us trivia. In all, I had a great time, service and food.
