Stayed at a beautiful little B & B in Hammondsport for a weekend of wine tasting, and the owner recommended this little spot, that is across the street from the Ravines Wine Cellars which was one of the winery’s we stopped at the following day. We asked to sit outside as it was a beautiful evening and wanted to experience the sunset on Keuka Lake. The building is right on the water and goes all the way back to 1812! Several boaters came and went for dinner while we were there. The service is very friendly, and the food is very good and reasonably priced. I had the daily special Fish Fry which consisted of a huge piece of Haddock with Onion Rings and Coal Slaw. My wife had the scallops and the total cost was about $ 50.00 which included a bottle of a local bottle of wine. The entire experience was really great, and the views of the sunset and color changes were spectacular. Highly recommend. The only downside was no Wi-Fi, but with ever changing views and great food, who cares!

Hot August Wednesday night. My in-laws took my wife and I there for our anniversary. They wanted all you can eat crab legs, the Wednesday special. I had hoped they were King crab at $ 34 a whack, but nope, snow. I ordered steak and crab, a special that was pretty good. A nice strip, well cooked, with 2 snow crab clusters on the side. My wife and her parents went the«all you can eat» route and were disappointed. More effort exerted than reasonable to get a mouthful of crab. My father in-law said they should have fly swatters on the menu. Older place on the lake with no screens on the windows in the middle of summer, what else can you expect? Expensive, lack luster, I doubt you’ll see us again. On the other hand… that lake sure is a beauty!

The wait was a bit long, but worth it. Great local wine list. Good food. Nothing unexpected, but solidly enjoyable food with a gorgeous setting. The sunsets are stunning and the waitstaff didn’t rush us, even on a very busy night where we nabbed one of the outside tables.

The Switz is a great place to go for either lunch or dinner while you are on Keuka Lake! The owners and staff take pride in ensuring customer satisfaction every time. I highly recommend the Finger Lakes Penne, but anything on their menu is delicious! Great atmosphere, great food, great service… what more could you ask for?

The good: incredible view, tons of seating(both indoor and outdoor), great location on the Keuka Lake wine trail, a lot of menu options and a good selection of local wines and beers. The bad: overpriced menu for the quality of the food. I got the haddock and my friend got a shrimp salad, neither were anything to rave about at all.

Nice selection of beers, good wings and a beautiful view of Keuka Lake. Prices are on the high side for both beers and food.

After waiting over an hour, we were led to a table with a wonderful view of the lake. We ordered the fish fry which was listed on the menu as «almost famous!!!» It was unfortunately a great disappointment. The fish was«beer battered» but was overcooked and consequently hard as a rock. The fries were a meagre portion and the onion rings soft. All in all, meal was quite disappointing although our waitress was friendly and the view was great. We would not return due to subpar food.

So good! Great location. Eat on the deck, great views. My friend And I split the scallops, shrimp and pasta. Great side salads and lobster bisque. The fish and chips were a bit over done but good. Service was awesome! Lovely young lady from Pittsburg. Lots of local wines and beers. Worth a stop!

«The Switz» Parents had calamari salad. Dressing on the side. They liked it. Friday Night fish fry for moi. Huge piece of haddock, steak fries, slaw. Pretty decent. Had club soda to drink. So did Mom. Dad had Riesling. The Switz is on the lake. Nice views whether you’re outside or in. You can arrive by boat and tie up on the docks. You can arrive by car and park across the street. There’s a bar downstairs by the water, a bar upstairs by the road entrance. Over thirty different brewskies to choose from. Nice mixed drink menu too – even something called a Bikini Martini. Double yummies. The greeters, servers, bartenders, bus people are twenty-something females wearing short-shorts. ALL of them. No complaints from me or anyone else. I’d be a regular here if I was a local, but I haven’t been for quite some time. I will be again, though. A local, that is. Perhaps sooner than later.

Not a bad place to grab some basic, traditional, relaxation comfort food. Nothing stellar mind you, but nothing will make you angry. A good basic char broiled burger with some sweet chips and a pickle, washed down with a soda, and this place is pretty decent. The best part is the view, the view is stellar, and the ‘action’ of the boats around the place can be pretty fun to watch. This seems like the best place to pull up a boat and grab a bite on the entire lake. In fact, I would highly recommend it for that purpose. If you want some good basic food when you are here on vacation, probably akin to a local mom and pop family restaurant, then this is a pretty fail-safe place. Nothing will blow you away, but nothing will make you angry, so what else can I say? I did raise my review 1 star because the staff here is excellent, and very friendly! Some of the sweetest girls in the area seem to be employed here, and that didn’t go without notice on my part.

Ate here on our second night in the finger lakes and it was definitely worth it. We were able to call ahead and make a reservation for a table outside. The view was absolutely amazing overlooking Lake Keuka. The staff was friendly and helpful when it came to the menu. The atmosphere of the place was a little loud and what you would expect in a small college town. They have a pretty good menu ranging from salads all the way to surf and turf. The prices are decent but can add up fast depending what you get. I would definitely recommend The Switzerland Inn for a great place to eat overlooking the lake.

Great place to grab a bite to eat while taking in the view of beautiful Keuka Lake. The kids love going for wing night and sitting on the deck watching all the boats. Speaking of boats, this is a great place to pull your boat up to and stop in for some food. Friendly staff always service with a smile!

Excellent place to visit in nice weather, the view and lakeside location are great. Food was good, mine was typical feel good food, and cooked the way I asked for. Not a place for the tipsy as the floor is uneven!

The Switz is a well known restaurant in the Keuka lake area, I’ve been eating there for years, myself. I can remember going to watch the Daytona 500 every year with my dad and his friends, downing chicken wings and sodas. The place has gone through some changes and new owners, but still remains about the same– a fun restaurant with good food and great views. You can sit at the bar, but you’ve got to sit on the patio on a beautiful night, or get a seat inside near the windows. View is amazing. The menu offers up a nice selection, including chicken, fish, and pasta, but my family stopped in recently for the basics– pizza, wings, and beer. Super psyched to see Sam Adams on draft, and it went great with the food. Pizza was good, wings were spicy, crispy, and tender, it was a great meal. Only complaint was with the slow service– our waitress was cute, friendly, and got the orders right, but it took an extraordinarily long time to get drinks, food, and refills… Still didn’t ruin our good time. Had a great meal here, recommended!

Not a fan. On the Finger Lakes Motorcycle Tour Map it lists this stop as Tuesday Bike Night. Ummm … No one in the place had a clue. Not motorcycle friendly. If your a yuppie, it’s your Night.

We stopped in on Wing Night Thursday on the 4th of July. Had our choice of dining locations and chose a waterfront table. Got there just before the rush began, so we were lucky. The wings were good, the service was fine, and the view was great. Maybe some of the other reviewers thought they were at at fancy restaurant on some other Finger Lake. They couldn’t have possibly missed all the signs informing you this was Keuka. The servers’ shirts were emblazoned with the motto«Eat, Drink, and Get Switzed» I don’t know what«Get Switzed» is supposed to mean, but it’s probably a good thing. If you’re not a whiner, the place is well worth a stop. If you can’t sleep when there’s a pea under your mattress, you should eat elsewhere. Don’t worry, you won’t be missed by the customers at the Switz.

This was a great find and we will go back when in the area. This is a local hangout and it was full of folks there for the Thursday night wings specials. My brother-in-law is a wings guy and was impressed with their wings and the great price. The food was very good, generous portions and a lot of attention to detail. Great service, friendly staff with a lot of local knowledge who took the time to chat with us about the area.
