Our server Christina was very attentive and nice. We both had the lasagna. Large portion and very tasty. I like a lot of sauce so next time I’ll ask for a side of sauce but they did serve enough sauce for most people though. We both took home leftovers as we ate just over half our plate. We’ve been here many times over the years and have always had great service. The Frank Sinatra music constantly playing in the background and the overly done theme is a little cheesy but different lol. Just my opinion. Not anything that would keep me from coming back. Like I said have come here 5 – 6 times every summer season for years and will continue to do so.

Labor Day weekend was our first time in Hampton Beach. Our hotel did not have a kitchen so we had to find places to eat. We had a breakfast and a dinner at Mama Leone’s. For both meals, the food was surprisingly good. Coming from metro NY, the prices were not outrageous; breakfast averaged $ 8.00 and $ 17.00 for dinner; not bad for a resort town. We had to wait about 10 minutes for a table for breakfast because we came at the meal rush. We had a fairly early dinner since we had a concert, so we were seated upon arrival. The wait staff were attentive and friendly for both meals. No connection to the Manhattan NY fabled restaurant, so don’t expect the huge cheese wedge on the table.

So its labor day weekend and I come to Hampton beach very often and normally bounce around for breakfast I have eaten here before and it was pretty good. So I decide to come back on Monday of labor day weekend and what a bad choice. So we get seated very quickly only to wait over an hour for our food with the excuse that its the cooks first day and he is all alone well I’m sorry that not my fault you should plan for a busy morning. So me and my girlfriend finally get our breakfast and I got a scrambler which is eggs home fries and bacon and cheese all together but it comes out with sausage and cut up pieces of French fries that are so soggy from the eggs or cheese that its absolutely disgusting and the fact I asked for bacon and its sausage and my girlfriend asked for well done bacon only to get undercooked slimy bacon so we walked out and said I would not be paying for my meal. normally I would feel bad for the waitress but in the hour we waited she would walk by and turn her head the other way instead of explaining the wait time so I don’t feel bad. So bottom line STAYAWAYFROMTHISPLACE !!!

I’m not going to bother with a lengthy review, as they don’t deserve that. Overpriced, in fact, the most expensive I had on the beach this weekend. «Fresh» seafood is most definitely frozen. Breading and shrimp«stuffing» is massive quantities of butter and raw flour. No real wine/beer selections. Just all around terrible. Don’t bother going there. I knew the reviews were bad and tried anyway, but in the end, status quo was spot on.

Just had dinner at this restaurant about an hour ago. Would never go again. I had the broiled seafood pie for $ 22.95. It had 3 small shrimp, 3 small scallops, a postage stamp size piece of haddock and some crab meat that must have come from a can. Top it all off with cracker crumbs. It was awful. My granddaughter had the linguini with white clam sauce and that, at least, tasted fairly good. The place was mobbed but I don’t know why. The restaurant felt dark and dirty. Save your money and go the Sea Ketch a block away.

Word to the wise for Hampton beach vacationers. For over 30 years I’ve been going to Mama Leones in Hampton beach I remember great big meals with my parents when I was growing up and taking my family there for great meals as well at a fair price. Today was an eye opener for me and officially my last meal with them. When I spend 60 $ on breakfast for 4 and leave hungry from mediocre food I have to rant. This place is run by kids with no emphasis on customer service. We ordered our food which I will say was quite overpriced. I asked about portions. She said they were a good size. So I ordered accordingly. As we were waiting I observed other food coming out and asked for onions in my home fries. Well our food came out in minutes before they had a chance to put onions in them. Waitress said I’m sorry. It came out too fast. Well needless to say the portions were small. Counted 20 little pieces of potatoes, just deep fried lite seasoned and Luke warm, actually all food was luke warm. My 2 eggs over medium were bigger than brendas 3 egg ham n cheese omelette. And why bother with Danish pancakes, they are flat like a burrito, no baking powder to make them fluffy. Also not hot. I really couldn’t believe this place I’ve known for 30 years has become an overpriced vacationers restaurant and probably avoided by most locals. Very sad to see the lack of customer service when asked how is it I replied«you don’t want to ask me that«and she just walked away lol. Ok. All my years in customer service and food service it’s really sad to see a landmark restaurant ran down to what it has become today. An overpriced under portioned, resort town restaurant with poor customer service and run by kids. Very sad.

The location is great, the service is great, the menu is great… but the food? Sadly, not so great. My boyfriend’s family vacations at Hampton Beach every year and we always eat at Mama Leone’s at least once. It’s convenient, and it’s a tradition :) Breakfast is probably the least offensive option… perfect when you get tired of grab-and-go boardwalk food and want to linger leisurely over several cups of mediocre coffee while editing your mental list of which gear to trek across the sand that day. We went for a big family dinner this year and had a great time, despite the fact that everything was grossly under-seasoned and bland across the board, and the pasta came out naked with a plop of sauce top/center(major red flag that would usually send me running back to the fried clams up the street, but… tradition…), and my seafood pasta dish had precious little seafood, and what it did have was over-cooked. Saying all that, some people in our party loved their dinners and I heard things like«best clam sauce I’ve ever had» and«my chicken parm is great» so feel free to take my review with a grain of salt and try Mama Leone’s for yourself :)

Service was great. Bread was good. Salad was fantastic. I got the baked stuffed cannelloni florentine which was good but the pasta was more al dente and the chicken/sausage was a bit over cooked. The meat sauce was fantastic as well as the mussels.

My family and I were vacationing at Hampton Beach, and we went to this restaurant during our stay. This was my second time visiting this eatery, and I ordered Chicken Parm with fettuccine Alfredo on the side. The Chicken Parm came in a reasonable portion, but seemed like it was not seasoned enough. The chicken seemed a little too dry, and possibly over cooked, while the Alfredo was not quite hot enough. The Alfredo was a bit runny as well. The service was ok, nothing special, but not horrible. The real disappointment of my experience was when I received the Strawberry Shortcake for dessert. It contained previously frozen strawberries on top of a biscuit that was just ok. I feel that for the price, the fruit could have been fresher. I will most likely return to Mama Leone’s due to the fact that my family members enjoy it. It was a favorite of my Grandfather’s when he visited Hampton Beach, and maybe if they improve upon some of these issues, it could be a favorite of mine.

My future husband and I went in to have dinner, We had a nice waitress but our meal was less than to be desired. He had a special with veal and pasta, in which the portion was small, and the bread was probably the best part of the meal for him. Since I am Italian, and I knew would not be like the North end I ordered a bowl of Italian wedding soup with no taste and three small meatballs, I ordered a salad with Chicken with maybe two ounces of chicken and nothing special. I would not eat there again. There are other places to go. For the portions and food we received and the cost of my salad and how it was a shadow salad., we could of ate somewhere else.

Went here for dinner mid-week during the summer. Brief wait(maybe 5 minutes). Service was good. We weren’t waiting very long for the waiter, and food came out at a reasonable time after ordering. The food itself was good. Portion size of the pasta and meatballs was a bit smaller than I was expecting for the price($ 15). The Italian Faesta, which is a combination of multiple dishes, was only $ 3 more, and was much larger. The place itself is right across from the beach, in a basement level. Nice little place, but it’s hard paying $ 15 a plate for simple pasta that can be made at home. But, for the beach, the prices are not excessive when compared to the local competition.

THEBESTPLACEONTHEBEACH. I have been coming here since I was a kid. Every year we find time to stop at this place. Between myself, family and friends over all the years, we have tried pretty much the entire menu. You can’t go wrong. The last few times I’ve been ordering the stuff shrimp. Be prepared, they are busy and they will have a wait. THATS A SIGN… Once your in, they take care of you, staff is right there for everything Great service, fresh food its worth it. We usually go and put our names in then walk the stip or hit a few stores. Portions are great for the money here as well. Bring the family or go solo. THISIS A MUSTSTOPWHENATHAMPTON

«We don’t do take out when we are busy.» We tried to go here for some pasta dinner before a race but were turned away. Didn’t look good anyway.

run of the mill Italian Joint. The red sauce is pretty nasty so you are limited to what you can get. The rest is only so so but this is one of the better strip restaurants in the tacky boardwalk area of Hampton Beach

We had breakfast here and paid $ 72 for 2 adults and 4 kids. Average food, below average service, dirty silverware, small portions and high prices. Ordered a combo plate that came with eggs, pancakes, toast and cantaloupe. All that for $ 8. Add bacon, coffee and home fries and you’re up to $ 12. The toast was cold and the plate came with two tiny, thin Danish pancakes. Our table didn’t have a full set of silverware and we had to ask multiple times. About a third of them had food stuck on that we had to send back. The food came out at different times, so our sides actually came before the main dishes. Took forever to get our bill.

After a day at the beach, we had dinner at Mama Leone’s, which is located in the basement of the Hillcrest Inn. The place was fairly busy since there was also a concert going on at the Casino Ballroom. We were seated immediately near the bar area. Mama Leone’s serves up homestyle mom & pop Italian American food in a casual atmosphere. We perused the menu and dinner entrees come with salad, antipasto, or soup and hot bread at reasonable prices for the area. See the menu at Mama Leone’s serves breakfast and dinner only. The bowl of Antipasto(iceberg lettuce, cherry tomato, cucumber, pepperoni slices, cheese slice, pepperoncini, red onion, black olive & a zesty Italian dressing) and the Italian Wedding(meatballs, chicken, orzo, carrots in a hearty chicken broth) were both pretty good. The bread was fresh out of the oven and crusty. For dinner, the Fabulous Feasta($ 16.95) was very filling and tasty, which was a sampling of the house on one plate and had lasagna, eggplant parmigiana, veal parmigiana, sausage, meatball, lots of tomato sauce and melted cheese. The Chicken Dijon($ 15.95) was decent, which was two breaded chicken breasts with mushroom caps and artichoke hearts and a side of fettuccine, all topped with a creamy dijon sauce. We had enough food for dinner, so we skipped dessert and had the food boxed up. The service was efficient on this busy night. We got our soup, salad, hot bread, and drinks in under 5 minutes and the dinners were served in 20 minutes after ordering on this busy night. We would definitely come back again for dinner.

Great Italian Restaurant. I had dinner with my wife and grandson(pickey eater). He had the spaghhetti and meatballs. Loved it, his favorite now. Wedding soup is a great start to you’re meal. The Chicken Parm, Haddock Parm, it’s the best, If you need a fix for Italian food, this is it, good value and always a bit to take home.
