We loved this spot. It’s entirely outdoors, the coffee was good and the baked goods were good as well.

There is a sign that they are closed. The Hanalei Bread and Coffee House will be taking its place, sometime in November. That is so sad!!! I understand the new place will use the same coffee so there’s some hope. We won’t be able to try it until we return in the spring.

Cruising through Hanalei and stopped in for some coffee and breakfast. Got an iced mocha, which tastes good. No complaint there. However, employees behind the counter were a little bitchy and rude. I had my order and a number was given for table placement. My mother followed behind and was told by one girl to tell the cashier we were together. The cashiers response to my mom was«we should’ve told her sooner, there’s nothing she can do now» ok… No need to be snarky especially when we’re the customer. Mahalo! The waitress who brought our food out was very nice. Let’s not have two ladies up front ruin the review for the establishment.

INCREDIBLE waffles & coffee! My husband got the papaya boat & went nuts over it. Then he tried my waffle & had to go get his own. #secondbreakfast They have coconut syrup that’s to die for – and I don’t usually like coconut. My latte was excellent as well. Just be warned: they stop serving breakfast at 11:00 am.

This was such a nice, low key but still tasty breakfast spot during our vacation. We were THRILLED to find a breakfast spot after staying at the St. Regis, Princeville where the only option was $ 50 breakfast buffet PERPERSON. I very much enjoyed the quiche and their coffees were great. We’d definitely go back, especially with the price being so affordable! The service and friendliness of the staff were also excellent and helped make our experience enjoyable.

There was a long line to get in, which I didn’t mind waiting in. Got to the register and felt a little rushed to order. I ordered the papaya bowl, which came with other fruit, yogurt, & granola. Prices were good. But the wait for my food took forever. I imagine there’s not much prep work necessary to assemble that dish. But it was so delicious once it finally did come to me. I’d recommend this place to anyone. Just don’t come too hungry like I did or the waiting will really start to get to you lol.

Holy crap, this place is heaven on earth. My friend and I both ordered the hot vanilla chai latte and we couldn’t believe how yummy it was, hands down the best chai I have ever tasted. What we ate: — «Create your own waffle» with nutella and strawberries… umm… YES! So fluffy and a great serving size of nutella. — Cinnamon buns– So warm, soft, and delicious– perfect amount of icing. — Hot Vanilla Chai Tea Lattes– No words to describe

The line moves at a snails pace but it’s worth it. Get their cinnamon rolls or coffee cake muffin(divine!!). Not sure how a sugary baked good can taste so «clean» but somehow they mastered it. Definitely a great spot!

Lovely service, food, and drink choices, as well as relaxed ambience here at Hanalei Coffee Roasters. They will also grind your beans to go if your rental house does not have a grinder. I had iced coffee and macaroons, $ 1.00 each. Quite a deal. 2.50 for 3. Order anything your heart desires. It will be fresh and good.

Pretty much my favorite morning spot. We stayed in Princeville again, so, Hanalei was a quick drive away. This place serves the best coffee ever! I was definitely a repeat customer almost every morning for a cup of iced Thai. We also sat down for breakfast and I got the Kauai Waffle both times. The best thing? They serve it with coconut syrup. Yep!

The girls that work here are very friendly. Hanalei Coffee Roasters is a cute little café with amazing waffles! If your in the mood for waffles I definitely recommend this place! Hands down my fav route waffle place! I also got their iced chai which was amazing!!! :) Oh and just FYI they no longer have breakfast burritos.

I only stopped in for some iced coffee and I loved that this place is open bright and early! While the cold brew wasn’t overwhelmingly good, the fact that you could get some delicious looking breakfast items and a coffee early is a definite plus. I would love to get there early again and come back for a waffle(you can make it a buckwheat waffle for an extra $ 1!).

The Good: macadamia nut build your own waffles w/coconut syrup. The chai tea for something not so bitter. The drip changes from day to day but all strong. Some good beans. The Bad: was not a fan of the veggie quiche. Not saying it was gross, just needs a tweak on the recipe. Maybe cheese vegan or raw. The Ugly: thinking it’s a good idea to stroll in at 10am thinking your gonna get a spot. Get up, get in early!

Love this little place in Hanalei. It was raining all day in Princeville and we were looking for a safe haven from the weather. We found Hanalei Coffee Roasters and ordered a hot chocolate and latte. Service was friendly and coffee was great. We didn’t get a chance to try the waffles but I enjoyed my latte while watching the rain fall in beautiful Hawaii.

Great location, AMAZING coffee(wish we bought some to bring home), and quick service. They have a variety of breakfast options. Their coffee is amazing — they have a coconut mocha, which I wish I got! I got the regular mocha and it was heavenly. Very friendly, patient and helpful staff. Definitely will be back next time we visit !

We came to Hanalei Coffee Roasters for a quick bite before the drive to the Kalalau Trail. There is only outdoor seating. The restaurant was packed but we were able to find a table for two. We ordered the Kauai waffle and the fruit bowl. I was a little disappointed by the lack of food that you receive for the price, but I guess that’s Hawaii in general. The fruit on top of the waffle were the same as the ingredients in the fruit bowl. I tried the coconut syrup on the waffle, but didn’t think it was particularly amazing. I did appreciate the toasted coconut shavings and the nuts on top.

Though Hanalei Coffe Roasters is known for their waffles(and of course, their coffee), it’s still a lovely spot for a healthy island breakfast, too. On our way to ‘the end of the road’, aka Ke’e State Beach Park, we stopped here for coffee and a light breakfast. There’s so much to eat in Kauai that it pays to pace yourself accordingly, and since I’m not a big breakfast person, I’m usually content with Greek yogurt or fresh fruit. Though this casual breakfast café tempted with its scandalously attractive waffle offerings, I chose the papaya boat: a scooped out papaya filled with pineapple and toasted coconut alongside a small bowl of yogurt, housemade granola, and bananas. The perfect amount of fuel! I heard that the chai is so good that I skipped the coffee — and my latte made with 2% milk did not disappoint. Arrive early for a table on the patio as seating is very limited. People-watching opportunities abound!

We stopped by Hanalei Coffee Roasters after grabbing a late lunch over by Chicken in a Barrel. They have friendly and fast service; three ladies were standing by to deal with 5 of us as we meandered around figuring out what we wanted. They have a good selection of roasted beans ready for you to take home. The take home coffee comes as whole bean and can be ground to go. Good mix of both hot and cold drinks(coffee shop duh). The only caveat here is there is a $ 5 minimum for credit cards.

This place is super popular. It was raining the morning I went for breakfast so everyone was fighting for a table on the porch, which is under the roof. Most of the tables were just for 2 people only so as part of a family of 5… you can imagine our pain. This marred the experience. I got the Kauai Waffle. It comes with papaya, bananas, whipped cream, toasted coconut, and macademia nuts on top. Presentation was pretty. It tasted good but honestly, didn’t blow my mind. My mom’s papaya bowl was alright. Honestly, if I had been in a better mood, this place would get normally get a 4 star from me. Alas, it was raining and I wasn’t in the aloha spirit. So…3 stars. On an unrelated note, I saw Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino there lol.

This a great coffee shop in Hanalei. They roast and brew their selections. They have a good selection of food items as well as desserts. The pies look great and their scones and chocolate chip cookies are great. They also have coconut macaroons which are to die for. Their prices are very reasonable, Less than the chain coffee shops, and the quality is way off the charts! The creama on my americano was out of this world.
