Jimmy! What can I say? He is a master artist at what he does! I call and made a same day appointment and went in couple hours later. He greeted me and answered all my questions and gave his realistic opinions on what I wanted to do with my hair color. I had dark hair and wanted to go many shades lighter, as I am Asian and my hair is stubborn to get lighter. I’ve been to countless hair salons in San Diego, L.A.and San Francisco, from up and down the coast and I can say Jimmy is my fairy«hair» godmother! He transformed my brassy mess to bonafide hair model! I highly recommend him!

I am a cancer survivor so after growing my hair for 14 months, I made an appointment for a Thursday. First Brittany completely forgot my appointment(apparently didn’t write it in her book). Show up very excited to put my new do on all the breast cancer sites, and am told I don’t have an appointment! Brittany callslater that night and says she can see me the Next day. I show up the Next day, I have already showed Brittany a picture of what I wanted and she said no problem. After shampooing my hair and talking to me she goes to get Michelle to cut my hair. By this time I am nervous! Michelle shows up says she can give me the cut I want, but she needs to thin the top. She proceeds to use texturing shears on the top of my head to such a degree that it damaged the hair so badly it was breaking off. When I complained I was told by both of these people that all I needed was styling product. By the time I left I was in tears, my hair ruined. I went immediately to another salon. The hair was so damaged that all they could do to fix other was give me a pixie cut! My daughter went to Panache just to ask for them to apologize. Instead of apologizing the owner told her that cancer patients that have chemo have dementia so I probably didn’t really understand what happened. These people are unqualified, rude and dishonest! Save your hair find a different salon. Horrible People.

I’ve been coming to Stacey for almost 7 years and all I can say is she is the best! I have coarse curly hair so I understand it can be a bit difficult to get blonde done right. She does an amazing job every time and keeps it real! She matches the blonde perfectly so that it compliments my skin tone. She also gives me advice on how to care for it!

Made a same day appointment with the only stylist that was available at that time — Jimmy. I was very impressed by the friendliness of the admin staff and blown away by the talent of the stylist. I was not only pleased when I left the salon, but the haircut has been fabulous even after a wash at home. I would highly recommend Jimmy for anyone looking for a classic long hair style.

I’ve tried this salon off and on for the last 17 years. I have no complaint about the nails/cuts/massage services but this place is just totally lacking in customer service. I’ll make an appointment, show up a little early(because it is rude to be late). After waiting for 5 minutes past my appointment time, I’ll just go up to a random stylist and tell them I have an appointment. They are always minimally polite about finding whoever is performing my service BUT there I sit – 15, 20, 30 minutes. The stylists seem to be actively avoiding eye contact with everyone in the waiting area. Twice, the stylist was running late. Once the gal wasn’t even there – she had forgotten my appointment.,., The last time? The nail tech had moved to a different salon. So obviously, I don’t fall into their demographic or my money isn’t goods enough Which ever, I am done trying to make it work at Panache. There are dozens of nail and hair salons in Hanford.

I had brassy streaky highlights from my former salon in Annapolis. As soon as we moved to Hanford I checked Unilocal for reviews on a salon, and found Panache. This place was great! I made a same day appointment with Patty, who fixed my highlights and made it look very natural. She did a great job and explained everything she was doing. I will definitely be going back!

Here’s my original review, I’ve updated it below. My experience gets a 1, but my updated version a 5… The owner was great the stylist… she’s another story. Horrible customer service, rude Jax S. I went in to have my hair done in ombr but the stylist didnt think my hair was healthy enough to apply bleach.(Although before applying the color she saif it wasnt as bad as she thought, then again later on the phone told me my hair was damaged… im mixed race with a bit of kinky curly hair naturally… my hair has been this way always) So I told her burgundy with more purple. After she took all color off my hair she applied some color but It definitely wasn’t what I asked for. It looked ok, but the root was a light brown/red and the bottom was a brown/reddish tone. Dark. Days later the roots were even more dramatically different from the rest of my hair. I rescheduled for the following week so the hair stylist could fix it but I was told she scheduled me in for an hour later. No biggie. Then she and the manager came over and were discussing products to use on my hair… most of which my hair stylist never used before. I was asked to reschedule yet again because my stylist didn’t have the products she would need. Soon after I called the manager to tell her I didn’t feel comfortable with the hair stylist doing my hair.(She did a good cut, just not good color) I was told I could have someone else do it but I’d have to repay again… even though I didn’t get what I asked for in the first place. I was very cooperative and feel I still am being cooperative but this is completely unprofessional on their behalf. I asked if I could just have my money back for the hair color only… After days they decided to give me back the hair color money however it’s been a week since, I’ve left messages for the manager, I’m told shell call back but no luck yet. I was supposed to get my money back yesterday but the hair stylist lied to me and said she was out of town until Monday… However, I called the salon before talking with her and they said she had just stepped out. I’m still out $ 150.00 now, plus an additional $ 85.00 to have this mess fixed… I took the advice of some fellow navy wives and went to artistic designs in lemoore and they fixed my hair up perfect! Exactly what I had asked for. December 31, 2012 ***update*** I felt it was fair to update my original review. Today I met with the owner and she was extremely helpful, sat with me and talked, which I really appreciated. I got my money back, and offered to return to a different stylist who could better help me. I am pleased with the outcome if this situation with the owner. The stylist was still extremely rude to me today, but to know the owner actually cared and sat with me, that just made me possibly reconsider going back to give them another try one day. The lesson learned here for me is to trust in referrals from friends and there are actually good managers out ther just sometimes hire terrible employees they don’t even know are terrible until a situation arrives. You can tell a lot by the way a person handles their stress or in this case, a situation like I had.

If you are considering going here, I would reccommend that you go see Jimmy Benitez. He does an excellent cut, color, highlights and shampoo… you even get a great scalp massage. I was there after the rest of the shop closed down, and Jimmy walked me outside to the door to make sure I got to my car safe, what a gentleman.

AVOIDTHISSALON!!! My experience started when I made an appointment for my daughter to get her hair colored. She’s a natural blond and had colored her hair black, but had been in the process of going back to blond. She had had her hair bleached three times(over 6 months) prior to going to Panache. We had just transferred to Hanford and she was a new client. Jennifer(the owner) did my daughter’s color. For whatever reason, she did an all over color and changed her hair to brown. Jennifer didn’t like the results the first time she colored it, and stayed late to redo the color. I appreciated that she stayed late and tipped her VERY well(40%). I also made an appointment to get my hair done two days later. I arrived at my appointment on time, and I was told that Jennifer was still with another client. I had a horrible kink in my neck and asked if the masseuse would be able to work on it while I waited. The receptionist said he was on his way in, and as soon as he arrived she’d ask… I sat in the waiting area for 45 minutes, no one said a single word to me the entire time! Just as I was getting ready to walk out, Jennifer came to get me… I’ve been getting my hair done for 20 years, and I have never had anyone touch up my roots by dabbing in between the foils… I could tell this was a lazy person’s attempt to make up time and get back on track for the day. I asked again about the masseuse for my neck, and this time I was told that he just left for the day. hmmmm??? After removing the foils and washing my hair, Jennifer’s disposition changed and she was really quiet. She put so much volume in my hair with the round brush that I felt ridiculous walking out to my car, but the color looked okay. By the weekend, my daughter’s hair started breaking and falling out, and so did mine! My daughter HAD long hair about three inches past her shoulders, by the time her hair finished breaking, it was two inches long throughout her entire head! Since Jennifer only foiled some of my hair, I didn’t lose as much as my daughter, but I have layers about 5 inches shorter on one side of my head when compared to the other. Jennifer KNEW she had over processed my hair, and instead of apologizing and giving me product to help repair the damage she blow dried it big and sent me on my way. There are several reasons not to go to this salon… lack of talent, poor customer service, and lack of ethics. You’d probably be better off at Supercuts!

My stylist is Jennie Hernandez. She’s very good with color. Prices in general are high. But I don’t trust a place like Super Cuts to highlight my locks! This is a full service salon. pedis, manis, body wraps and waxing. Angel Rodriguez does a great job waxing and even offers soothing music and a glass of wine to help you relax before the skin torture! Cheers!
