Good overall experience but I think that can really depend on who you have. The facial room floor needs a good sweep and mop on a regular basis though, pretty gross.

been going to Dosha for years! Went in last week after making an appointment over the phone. when i get there, they tell me i will not be able to get my hiarcut because i have my 5 year old with me. i dont remember anyone telling me this when i made the appt. my son had gone in with me two months prior, no problem. he sat there and played video games for the hour and behaved himself. i even asked if he could sit next to me and they turned that down. when i called them after they had told me this rule has been in place for years and that it is on there website, which i did not see when i checked. this is absolute discrimination! basically if you are a single parent you cannot get your haircut? and made to feel bad about this. Espcially at the mall where families go all the time. i understand if this was a full day trip, but not a 45 – 1 hour hair cut! DONTGOHERE!

If zero stars were possible this store would earn it. Terribly pretentious staff and surprisingly unknowledgeable of the Aveda product line. I am unsure of the requirements for staffing this salon, and I have heard from hair stylist through the years that Dosha offers a low compensation structure and thus attracts new to the industry stylists. Well, lets just say it shows in their knowledge, personality, willingness to help customers, and ability to recommend the products that may best fit your needs. Perhaps my experience was so unpleasant because I only go in to purchase Aveda and not see a stylist. This salon is sure a convenient pick up location right off the Clackamas mall parking lot, but I will never visit this location again. Truly forget it if you have kids in tow, which I always do. Not a child friendly staff at all. I am still an Aveda products fan yes, but I will choose to patronize a nicer staffed establishment. Found a tiny but fabulous staffed salon just up a few blocks in the shopping complex on SE corner of 122nd& Sunnyside intersection that carried the entire Aveda line. Not as posh in décor but they were super helpful as well as able to listen to my wants and recommend what may work best.

Jill Bowles is amazing!!! As a former hairstylist I find the talent of the stylists and the customer service at Dosha salons universally lacking. Absolutely not so with Jill. She’s at the Clackamas location. If you are looking for a talented, fun and knowledgeable stylist I suggest you go find her!

took my mother in for a bday makeover day… had picture of color and cut she was looking for… cut turned out like nothing of the pic, asked for a razor cut but ended up with a blunt shear cut… she never asked if she was happy with length, which she wanted it shorter. she apparently she was running over on appt. cause front desk people kept coming up to her telling her that which made mom feel uncomfortable and not as important as next client to where she could say that she wasn’t happy about cut, we ended up having to get the whole thing redone the next day, for wanting to giver your mother a makeover day to make her feel special on her bday and spending 200+ dollars and not getting what you want nor customer service sucks… i do not recommend dosha/clackamas

Ok so the place I use to go to went out of business and I have no idea where my hair stylist went. I know that AVEDA salons always have good hairstylists so I decided to give this one a shot. I made an appointment and took whatever stylist they gave me. Jasmine did such a good job! She was so nice and listened to what I wanted. She cut my ends first after she washed my hair. My ends looked good so she just cut a tiny, tiny bit off which was wonderful. Then she dried my hair a little then cut some layers like I wanted, then she started drying and styling my hair, then she cut some more layers. She really spent time on my hair. She payed attention to how my hair fell after dried and cut accordingly. She made sure I liked it and wasn’t worried about taking time to make sure I loved it. I have NEVER had someone care so much about how my hair looked. Plus you get a hand massage too if you want! I had a wonderful experience and will reccomend to everyone.

OMG… worse hair color ever… DONOTGO here… Went in with dirty dish water blonde hair with a couple of other blonde weaves in my hair. Took a great deal of time in a consult beforehand and explained that I was looking to gravitate towards the same variety of colors only more platinum. The sweet stylist explained that while she could not give me exactly what I fully want today, I would be very happy with a modified approach and leave the salon with slightly darker hair but more platinum for sure. After literally hours in the chair(this stylist did work very hard and was very pleasant), I noticed and mentioned that most of my hair looked bright orange/brassy blonde. She explained that it would change after the weave and the toner, so I waited it out. When she was working the one weave of color in my hair, what appeared to be a manager came by to ask her how much longer it would be(implying that it was taking too long). My stylist worked quite a while at the sink and I have to wonder if she noticed the glaring colors. She conditioned it and then announced that she would not be blowing it dry because it «would damage it even more». I had an event to go to that I missed and when I saw the dried hair in the mirror… YIKES!!! Then I tried to call the salon(Dosha only has a central call center even though that individual salon was still open). The customer service person called me back and repeatedly told me that because I signed a paper that this would require several visits before I would achieve the final look, I was out of luck. No sorry, no take a hike, no nothing. I explained that while I signed their form I asked what it would look like today and was told it would still look good but only darker than the final results… something I could live with. When I could not get this customer service person off her ‘chant’ of: you signed it and we told you speech, I told her that I did not sign up to have my hair look like SH__!, to which she could not tolerate my call any longer since the S word was such a bad swear word. I changed it to Crap later and it still didn’t penetrate even an apology. And, forgot to mention that all this cost me $ 220.00!!!
