We first hit the wall of traffic. Then we see the cutest hotdog standing on the curb. Tiny spot but at a very convenient place. Unless you like McDonalds or Sonic… You would starve your way to OBX on this stretch. 3 bacon cheeseburgers and my chili cheesedog with some seasoned waffle fries.

I love hot dogs so I had to stop. Friendly staff. Just my hot dog could of been hotter. That’s all. Was fun reading all the things on the wall.

Great food, great staff, and unbeatable prices! Gotta get the Island Burger or the Rendy’s Wipeout!

The food was good at this little hole in the wall… and it was a great find after the long trek down to the Outer Banks. I would’ve given it a 3.5 if I could, but rounded up because the ambiance is fun and the servers were very friendly! The slaw was nice and refreshing, and the bbq pork was delicious! The jalapeño burgers, onion rings and all were a great treat to start our vacation! Fairly priced. We’ll definitely try to eat here next time we come to town as well.

Right place, right time. This surfin’ food shack was just what we needed on a long drive to the Outer Banks. We were all starving but hadn’t seen any decent food for miles, and were relieved when we came upon Hotdoggers. All 4 of us in the car were meat lovers, and we ate like it, too! It felt like we were in a movie — local joint, local patrons, and an adorable redheaded server who talked to us like she had known us for years. At least, I think she did. It was hard to tell with that Southern accent. We overheard her discussing with a regular that she had shot her first buck that morning. I, of course, was terrified by this, but it definitely added to the authenticity. It was so local that the redhead groaned when she saw a regular pull up in his white pick-up because the windshield had several giant cracks. When the driver walked in, the redhead exclaimed«What did you do this time?» Seriously. Like a movie. Also, she wore industrial boots walking back and forth from the kitchen. I’m still not sure what to think of that. The food was only okay, which is why I give it a 3(I’d give it 3.5 if I could). I ordered a cheeseburger, which given the nature of the place(and its location in the South), I figured would be pretty sizable. At only 5’8″, the burger made me feel like a giant, though it was still fairly delicious. The fries were good too, and my friends also seemed to enjoy their food — BBQ, jalapeño burgers, onion rings, etc. You know, all that good stuff your cardiologist recommends. For your meat-loving, cute-locale, Outer Banks-driving needs, this is the place for you! And tell the adorable redhead the Yankees from DC say hello.
