AWESOMESERVICE, FOODANDWAITRESS. YOUROCKMISS. LEEANN, THANKYOU. I had the tasty fish with the cabbage and fresh cut fried, just delish and a chocolate milkshake to go. Reminded me of my childhood days milkshakes in Baltimore. yum, yum, yum! My sister-in-CHRIST got the Chicken salad and said it was good. The staff and the locals were so friendly and they made me feel like they valued my business. If you get the chance go to the ACORN and get some food, you will be most pleased. GOODFOOD, GOODMEAT, GOODLORDLETSEAT! OHALMOSTFORGOTTHECOSTFOROUTMEALWASVERYECONOMICAL, INTHELOW $$$$$$$.

Really enjoyed my first experience here. I pass by the place everyday on the way to work and have never stopped, for whatever reason. The food was good and the staff was nice. I had the ribeye which was pretty good, and my friend had the fried catfish which she said was very good. Tea or lemonade is included in most meal prices, which is a plus. I will definitely be going back very soon.

Ate lunch there on 3÷28÷14. Had Fish filet and house chips. It was well above average. Coworker had Hamburger, which also has pork sausage in it, he said, it was awesome and we should add it to our rotation. Other coworker had BLT and also agreed it should be added to our rotation. Staff: very friendly as they are the owners it seems. Very accommodating and friendly atmosphere. Accepted CC Will be back soon,

Excellent service, great southern cooking. We went as a party of five, and had a variety of foods. The fried Okra is the best I’ve every had. Fried to perfection, and served while hot. Most places around here have it sitting around so long that it just loses it great taste. The green beans were great. THe ribeye was ok at best. I ordered medium rare, and received a medium well. The Pecan Pie is phenominal. The second best pecan pie in the state, second only to my wife’s pecan pie.

Good food, good service, good price … who can argue with that? This local restaurant, part of the Red Oak Inn is a great place for good, simple food and friendly service!

Great place; pretty easy to find and highly recommended if you’re in the area. The philly cheese steak is out and out *heavenly*. The 5-course meals are great for special occasions — been there once for Valentine’s, and once just ’cause. They’ve got a sample menu on their website. Their Pork Chesterfield easily rivals what one can get at The Chop House(which I also adore). Family-owned, and by wonderful folk at that. Beautiful balance of professionalism, and the genuine friendliness/care found only in the South.

One of the best places in the Augusta area to get a home cooked meal. Family owned and operated and they take great pride in their food and their service. Our favorite time to go is for Sunday lunch. Family style meals where you pass the bowl/plate. You can get a full meal, tea included, for $ 12.95. Make sure to try their pecan pie! They’re open Mon-Thurs and breakfast and dinner, all day Friday, Saturday for breakfast and lunch, and Sunday for lunch. Enjoy!
