Oxygen Bar

Best bar in Harlingen. Good cover bands (provided you enjoy classic rock or country) on a nice outdoor patio. Only drawback is that it’s a little cramped.

Omg. I so regret going this passed saturday night. Booorrrriiiinnnnngggg… The inside bar was a ghost town and the outdoor patio started to get people at about 10:30pm. Karaōke night and everybody was forcing their voices so much to sound as country as possible that i thought somebody was going to burst a blood vessel in their neck or at least pop a vein. Sad, depressing music, except for the dj who played upbeat tunes in between the singers’ tearjerkers. I was cheerful and in a good mood when i got there, but the nusic was slow, boring and depressing. There were mostly only women and a handful of attached man. Total amazon island. I withstood the music and lack of fun as long as I could. It was very depressing so i decided to go home before the atmosphere drove me to slit my wrists. Hardy har har. Word of advice, go when there is a live band.
