Stopped in for dinner, and were VERY glad we did. Food, service, and prices were all great! It may be difficult, since the food is so delicious, but save a little room for the Baklava Heaven. You’ll be SO glad you did! Nice shady spot to eat outside, and just steps away from a stroll down the riverfront after dinner. Will definitely be back!!!

Food was delicious and the service by the owner was friendly and prompt. I had the Falafel wrap and the wife had the small salad and small hummus. Both were nicely sized and full of flavor and creativity. Dont miss the deserts! Not a fancy place but we enjoyed sitting outside at a table and watching the locals go by.

Lamb and chicken kabobs were awesome. I’m not a hummus fan typically, but i couldn’t stop eating the red pepper version. A tad pricey for the quantity of food you get.

Super friendly and attentive owners. The food was fresh and delicious. The hummus and baba ghanouj were delicious. We ordered the lamb platter, chicken shawarma platter and the chicken kebab platter. Everything was well seasoned and came out hot. My only complaint was that both the lamb and chicken kebab were sadly a little over cooked and thus a little dry. Easy fix. The rice was also delicious, however, I think they use converted rice which I always find interesting when a restaurant makes this choice as rice is so easy to make! Overall, a very satisfying and pleasant experience.

Love dining in or getting carry-out. Amazing food and service every time. The owner is often there and makes you feel as if you’re eating in his home. Entire staff is always helpful and attentive. Literally some of the best damn food I’ve had in Harrisburg!

«And just went I got out, they tried to pull me back in» Those are my emotions for 2nd street. Upon my first two visits they were solid 5s — great quality, good Blair, good service. Everything was awesome until today. My third visit. This time the situation changed up as we took orders to go instead of dine in. We got the usual lamb shish wrap, expecting to be all lamb and shish and awesome like as it has been. Now don’t get me wrong, it was lamb and it was good. But just good. It just seemed a bit too chewy today, a bit too tasteless. On the other end, the baba ganoush was the highest quality I’ve had. So really, 4.5÷5 but can’t do that on the rating scale here. We’ll be back again. Oh also the bathrooms are small. I pee where I wash my hands practically… So… Minus .5 to make it a 4 flat?

Service was phenomenal. The beef shwarma wrap and the falafel wrap were both delicious. This gem of a restaurant certainly lives up to it’s positive reviews. Great value and great service add up to an overall excellent experience.

The food was amazing!!! And the service matched!!! It was my wife’s and my first time coming here. We had the second appetizer sampler. The baba ghannouj was second to none! The falafel was cooked in fresh oil, and seasoned perfectly! The grape leaves were rolled very tightly! The owner brought out our sampler platter, and was very funny and personable! Our waitress was very kind, and focused on ensuring that everything was perfect! We will definitely be returning the next time that were in the area! FIVEOUTOFFIVE!!!

What an amazing surprise this little ship turned out to be! It was my first ever visit and the staff was more than welcoming. They introduced me to the cuisine, discussed the best sellers and made suggestions. Exceptionally helpful for the uninitiated. Settled on the shawarma wrap and an order of falafel. Both were quick to the table and, as stated by the counter guy, very flavorful. The falafel was amazing! So much so that I had to order it to go as well! The only downside was the parking. It took a little longer to find a spot then I would have liked. Guess I shouldn’t have been so cheap and just hit the garage. I will be back when my training schedule sends me back to Harrisburg!

This is a small place with great middle eastern cuisine and outstanding customer service. I’m going straight to my favorite here: Baba Ghannouj. The absolute best around here and beyond. I’ve had the real deal and this tastes like a family recipe that has been brought all the way to Harrisburg. Thanks for that!!! With that out of the way, I’ve had the pita, humus, falafel, meat pie, chicken shawarma, several wraps, and of course, the baklava for dessert. Whatever I have yet to try, I will do so on many more trips to one of my favorite restaurants in the area. Check this place out and enjoy!

I’ve never gone in here to sit down and eat, but I snagged a gyro«to go» on my way to a wedding downtown. Not only was the staff friendly, but the food was made fresh and ready relatively fast. Next time I’m in Harrisburg for dinner, this will be the spot I stop. Friendly staff, excellent food and a nice quaint/casual dining room.

I went here yesterday after work with my girlfriend. I highly recommend appetizer #2. It will give you a good sampling of what you can get from an entrée. The hummus as well as everything else was great. The service was also hard to beat. This was my first time at the restaurant. It’s more of a corner-hole place with not a lot of glitz. Although it wasn’t advertised as a byob, we brought a bottle of wine. We talked about the spice and they don’t use local spices because the flavor is not genuine. Everything is made on the premises and excellent. good: food, service, byob, takeout not so good: Harrisburg parking rates. It would be nice if sitting outdoors was a little more private than on the busy street but I know that other people may prefer this.

Just stopped by while road tripping. Mjjadar with lamb n curd was awesome. And then fabulous Turkish Coffee after dinner! It’s that perfect genuine street corner restaurant… I would definitely love to stop by here again and hopefully try all other dishes one by one…

Good falafel and shwarma. Service was friendly and fast. Only complaints were blaring music and a bathroom so cramped you could wash your hands while sitting on the toilet!

My wife and I visited Mustafa for a second go around. He greeted us with a smile and we were promptly seated. Within minutes, we had drinks and utensils while our order was prepared. On the second trip I noticed the community magazines available at the high table. It’s pretty legit that the owner encourages people to get involved in the community by making these Harrisburg area magazines available at zero cost. You won’t sit bored. If the magazines don’t engage you, you certainly can make conversation with the owner/server. One regular sitting at a table adjacent to us chatted with the server, talking about St. Pats Day antics. It’s clear why this is a community staple, friendly personalized service? You bet yah! Onto the main course: the grilled chicken platter. The veggies were fresh and tasty. The chicken was served warm and well spiced over a bed of quite tasty rice. We enjoyed the Baba ghanoush as well for a dip for your pita. Charred spiced and delicious. Oh and make sure you ask for their delicious hot sauce!!! That absolutely made the dish worth every bit of 5 stars.

For a place in Pennsylvania, one would think that this location was better located in a hipster neighborhood of Brooklyn, NYC. The prices are incredibly reasonable and everything is made fresh! They are open late, so if you have a craving after hitting too many of the local bars nearby, this is definitely the place to be. Nice, very friendly service. Great for a date especially if this would be their first try at a more mediterranean/middle eastern cuisine.

Good spot, stands out from the rest of the Harrisburg scene. Prices are very reasonable and the old is very flavorful. Best item I ate was the falafel — crispy and tasty, I salivate just thinking about them. Guys working there are really nice and will take care of you. Make sure you grab a bite here!
