In October of 2015, my family and I got together for a portrait at JCP to give as a birthday gift to our mother. The process was easy to schedule, efficient on the day of service, and the pictures turned-out well. Service: Although the overall quality of the pictures is an important aspect of the experience, for me, the service is a little more important. Ultimately, the girl who helped us was really sweet, had a sense of humor, and was interactive. She was also patient and very helpful throughout the entirety of the process — which is extra nice when you are taking pictures of 6 people … one of which was a 4 year old. Overall, I was really pleased with the service experience at JCP from start(scheduling of service) to completion(pick up of pictures). I have no complaints and would return just as a result of our experience with our photographer. Service: 5⁄5 Pictures: Despite her service being stellar, her picture-taking skills were average. Some of the pictures featured some of the picture participants standing too far apart, or slightly getting cut-off when the printed picture was inserted into a frame because she did not leave enough space around the border. Some of the pictures were good, most were average, and some were even a little bit bad. This is a shame because I really liked the person who took the pictures. Picture Quality: 3⁄5 Price: This is probably a ‘you get what you pay for’ situation, because the price was very good. For a whole set of pictures, it was a little over $ 100. Split between me and my two siblings, we got our mother a gift she really wanted for about $ 30 – 40 each. I think that is a good deal. Despite that, given the quality of the photos, it wasn’t necessarily a crazy-good deal. I would say the price is mostly in-line what we got; but the great service kicks it up a notch. Price: 4⁄5 Final Thoughts: If you are looking for relatively good photos and are on a budget, JCP offers a decent quality product, great service, at a price that is slightly more than fair. I would recommend coming here to capture your family moments, but do not expect these photos to be world-class. If you want pictures that are wildly creative, artsy, trendy, etc. This is not your place. This is a place for classic photos at a good price.

i had been looking a white dress shirt. i have an odd size, and i was having a lot of trouble finding something. i even went to a Vanhusen store and couldn’t find what i needed. I came here on a whim and i couldn’t believe the options they had. and the cheapest prices i had seen. the lady there was very helpful, i was asked by a few different employees if i need any help finding things. i was very pleased with my shopping experiance.

I’ve never seen a store as large as this one that seemed so empty. The center aisles were easily twice as big as they are at most department stores, and the store had virtually no customers when I was there. While they had a large selection of women’s clothes, a lot of what they had seemed poorly made, too short or low-cut, or in unappealing prints. The men’s department looked better, and the only reason I gave the store two stars is because I’d probably go back to buy clothes for my boyfriend. That’s it, though.
