A Brush Above Painting Co or Mike Kennedy has owned me money since he took my deposit and never started to paint the exterior of my house now I’m out $ 1300.00 and have won a judgment in small claims for $ 1504.00 tried to get him to pay back in payments but it never worked out. Went back to Court to to get a seizure of property but still have not heard a thing.
BOTTOM LINE STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

Mike Kennedy owner from A Brush Above took a $ 300.00 deposit check for a painting job. He cashed it right away. It has been 7 weeks.
He did not show up on the scheduled painting date. When I called he said not to worry, he would bring 3 men the next day to complete the job. He did not show the next day. When I called him he sounded annoyed that I asked for my deposit back.
He said he does not have the money now. He spent my check. He said he would send me my money after he got the money from another job he was doing. He will not return any phone calls.

Michael John Kennedy answered a CraigsList ad of me looking for a painter on 7÷12÷2014 to paint my home’s exterior. His $ 1800 quote sounded good, but I should have known it was trouble when he wanted it all up front. I got him to go to $ 250 down and half the day he started. He never showed up or called. I called him, he said he was sorry and would do it the next week. Again no call, no show. Finally around Thanksgiving I called and he said it was too cold to paint now. He said he would send my deposit money back the next week. Well, no call, no check, no respect. And yes, I have a copy of the signed invoice and a picture of his Michigan State ID and a copy of the canceled check.
