one of my favorite places! delicious food and great sangria! fun place for a friendly get together or a dinner for two! i have even gotten the food to go and enjoyed at home.

Local bar, that as a reviewer stated below, has a Cheers feeling. Local place but also very welcoming. Moved to Harrison about two years ago, and upon trying the place out, Vinnie introduced me to all the locals my first time there.
Food is excellent, with a variety of specials every day. No frills and unassuming from the outside, but certainly worth the trip which is out of the way for most — but very convenient for us!

This is hands down my favorite local place to have a drink and eat. One day I had a trucker from Texas ask what’s good on the menu because many of his buddies who’ve been around this area recommended this place. I’ve had a lot of their dishes and they were all great. They’re tomato sauce is the best I’ve ever tried. One of my favorites is the grilled chicken wrap with mozzarella, peppers and dressing. Amazing! Can’t go wrong with whatever choice you make! Vinny and the rest of the staff are also very nice and friendly. Prices are very reasonable as well.

The Cuban sandwich is amazing. Tons of flavor and a nice portion size. The chef is clearly creative and everything works on the plate.
It’s a little out of the way, but if you are in the area give it a shot. You won’t regret it!

Great place for lunch or dinner. Real good specials on the wall. The chicken marsala is one of my favorites. Also the bbq ribs are great. Still trying other things.

Always a delicious lunch at Vinnys! Wish I could make it more often. If your in the Newark /​Hudson County area for work or other, it’s worth a stop. Great specials and menu. A bar type corner business with a dozen tables or so. Very good food.

Fiending a Cuban sandwich. Read on here it was badass, but alas, when I arrived, (on a Saturday) the bartender sadly told me this is usually the wednesday special. Given I only eat meat on the weekends, this was disheartening. But, there was a board of other specials. I had the baby back ribs, which definitely solaced my pork craving. Big portion for a good price. Not the most tender ribs I’ve had, but delicious and not too fatty. The owner was there and was nice. For the unflattering exterior, the interior was plain, welcoming, kind of like home. It had a nice flow of air and smelled pleasant. (No yeasty bar smell or fried food smell like you get in some bars). I will definitely come back. And you should too!

Another hidden local gem. You’d drive by and not give it a second thought about stoping in. Do yourself a favor stop in for lunch and /​or dinner. Very good food, everything is fresh and made to order. Check the daily special board, you won’t be disappointed.

Everything was good. My wife particularly enjoyed her chicken special. My wife’s pork loin special was also excellent.
Will try to come back next time we are in the area.

Went there for lunch today and had the Cuban Sandwich special. I think it was the best Cuban Sandwich I’ve ever had. It was tasty, meaty, and huge. I took one bite of it and announced it was awesome. I’ve been here before and their food is always really good and their specials are taken to another level. My co-​worker had the pasta and sausage special and loved it. The service is always friendly and good. The prices are really reasonable. If I lived closer, I would go more often. You won’t go wrong by visiting this place… trust me!

Place is great. Cooks are innovative and always bring out some great specials. No credit cards but don’t worry as prices are extremely reasonable. Family friendly

If you’re looking for a Cheers kind of place in Harrison, this is it! What a great bar and eatery. We went in for lunch on a Friday and the place was rockin! Smiles and great moods all around! Loved it!

Vinnie himself will tell you that this is a bar for locals, so I took it upon myself to share this well known local gem on Unilocal.It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but inside it’s very welcoming, with your standard sports bar décor.
We came in after the lunch rush so we had our pick of the place. VInnie urged us to choose a nice seat by the windows to enjoy the sun. The service was excellent — both the owner and the waiter were very accomodating upon hearing that I’m a pescetarian (vegetarian that eats seafood). They reeled off a series of dishes and assured me that the kitchen would take care of me.
I ended up ordering the Greek salad without the chicken. It comes with balsamic vinaigrette, walnuts, goat cheese, sliced cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, and red onions. It was a good sized salad, and all the ingredients were fresh and crisp. The vinaigrette was an authentic vinaigrette, just extra virgin olive oil and good quality balsamic vinegar.
It was a shame that I didn’t have more of an appetite (long hot summer day), but I would love to come back and try the blackened tilapia and some of the tiramisu.
I have it on the best authority that the local crowd loves Vinnie’s, and after just one trip it’s easy to see why.
