Nice bar and friendly service. Ruben is excellent. Guinness on tap along with many IPAs. Great non-chain place to eat while traveling. Walking distance to the Hampton Inn.

This restaurant was the best that I’ve been to in a long time! I recently moved to Harrisonburg for school and my roommates recommended I go here to get great food for an unbeatable price – they were right! My whole family came and ate there and nobody had any criticisms. The waitress was friendly, checked on us periodically, and came back with our requests in record fast timing. We got the boneless chicken wings with honey BBQ sauce AND I HIGHLYHIGHLYRECOMMEND. They were juicy and had the right amount of sauce, not too much! We also got the fries with bacon and cheese with a side of their home made ranch and that was superb. For entrees we ordered a burger with sweet potato fries(wonderful and juicy burger and the fries were delicious and crispy), salmon with mashed potatoes and broccoli(salmon cooked to perfection and best mashed potatoes you’ll ever eat), the Mac and cheese skillet with shrimp and bacon(SOGOODWORDSCANTEXPLAIN), and the pulled pork(well sauced and tender). This was such a great experience we’ve made it a tradition to come here whenever my family is in town. I would give this 10 stars if I could. If you want to eat well and are willing to try foods that are a little different than the norm, go. Go there now!

After a long day of travel we were anticipating a delicious meal here due to the hotel clerks recommendation and Unilocal reviews. We were seated quickly and drinks arrived in good time. The server said the«fingers and toes»(boneless wings) were most popular. After sampling 4 sauces –coconut habanero, atomic, Jamaican jerk and house original T&t– we settled on the house sauce. They were decent tasting as boneless wings goes but they were smaller than expected for the price, $ 13.99 for 12. I had the soup of the day, tomato basil and it was quite thick, salty and heavy tasting– very average. 2 of our party had the bacon cheeseburgers and both thought it delicious. The Katy bug(a type of club sandwich on Texas toast) was enjoyed by a 3rd member. Fries for 2 of meals were mediocre and one plate had only the«bottom of the barrel» leftover end bits, some burnt.. Instead of fries one burger recipient upgraded to the mac n cheese which he said was better than most though a bit dry. The highlight for our party was the crème soda and root beer drinks– exceptional! Service was slow despite the restaurant was not even ¼ full and most the servers were standing around on their phones, watching the many tvs or talking to each other. Not the experience we expected. $ 68 for dinner for four which would have been better spent at Outback.

Wonderful atmosphere. Good food, good beer, a bunch of tvs to watch sports! Prices are good, just a solid place to stop and grab a drink and some food.

Overnight stay at The Courtyard Marriott in Harrisonburg and wanted something non-chain within walking distance. What a find! Outstanding pulled pork and ribs — and this comes from a North Carolinian. Excellent chips and ranch. Two pages of beers. Too many TVs to count. And great service to boot. Will dine here again.

This place is great. Came with my family of four. Service was great and the hostess and waitress were very friendly. The bison burger was great and the thumbs and toes(boneless chicken wings) were outstanding. The dessert skillets are very good as well. Highly recommend this place. Also they have tvs everywhere so it was great for March Madness(or any other sporting event). This restaurant is right next to an Outback and holds its own!

As a local resident, I can find no better place for fresh made, tasty food that is consistently delicious. Casual atmosphere, great beer and cider choices, and ALWAYS a waitstaff that is pleasant and friendly. Family friendly and lots of menu options. I highly recommend this place.

This is a good bar and grill. They have a limited selection of craft beers, but the ones they have are good.

I was in Harrisonburg Tuesday night/Wednesday morning for business. I a friend of mine who lives in this city recommended this place. The place was fairly busy but not packed and I was seated about a minute I walked in. Since I was by myself I just sat in the bar area and my server, Katelyn, was absolutely wonderful! Before I review the food I want to take a moment to talk about the service. As I said Katelyn was wonderful. She was very attentive, friendly, kept refills on my soda coming(I never once had to ask for a refill nor had I completely finished one glass before another one had arrived), and she checked to make sure everything was okay. Not only was she great but two different employees brought out my appetizer than my meal. Each of them was friendly and asked if I needed anything. When I asked the one who brought out my meal for extra napkins she got me extra napkins instead of saying my server would get them. The food: I ordered a small order of bacon and cheese waffle fries and they were delicious! The fries arrived in a skillet with a cup of ranch. Then I hadn’t even finished my appetizer when my meal arrived! I ordered the sirloin steak with mac n’ cheese and mashed potatoes. All homemade according to Katelyn. Everything was delicious and I feel like a great value for the steak. $ 12(maybe a little more maybe a little less) you get a nice size piece of steak and two sides then my appetizer was $ 5 and something. After tax my total was about $ 23. I feel like for $ 23 I got a great deal. An appetizer, soda with multiple refills and a steak with two sides. When I’m out of town I like to eat at places that are not available where I live rather it’s local or not but if it is local that’s even better! I will be back before long! Two more things: 1) at least in the bar area there are several TV’s so it’s a great place to come watch a game! 2) most Monday nights a magician that’s in my area performs close up magic at your table for a few hours. This would be a great night to go! I know the magician personally and he is a super nice guy who is passionate about what he does and he’s friendly so if you ask him for a certain type of trick if he is able to do it/has the materials for it I’m sure he would be happy to.

Visited on Parents weekend. It was a PACKED house and it seemed the managers were interested in their guests experience, asking opinions at tables and facilitating/delivering food. Normally a place like this would get just 3 stars but the fact that mgmt was that involved helping to make sure guests were taken care of that earns them and extra star on this trip. I don’t see that very often at all.

Okay… this is not a fancy restaurant, but a great lunch spot. Prices are reasonable and portions are a good lunch-sized. They do a great job with tex-mex entrees. Chicken burrito and quesadillas are yummy. Everything tastes home-made, especially salsas. Don’t go looking for a fancy night out. But, they make a great lunch and it looks to be a popular sports bar for JMU fans. I’ve been a dozen times and the manager has asked about our satisfaction each time. Our family has never been disappointed.

Found on Unilocal while staying at the Massanutten Resort, O’Neills was well worth the 20 min drive. My family and I ate there 2 consecutive days. All of our meals, chicken fajitas, ribs, cheesy chicken sandwich and chicken pesto wrap, were very tasty. Great frozen margaritas! Friendly staff. Reasonable prices!

I am from California in town to visit family and ate here tonight. The service was great and the good excellent! I had the fish tacos… delicious! My hubby had the macaroni and cheese and was begging the waitress to give us the recipe! For desert you must have the cookie in a skillet, you won’t forget it!

It started off pretty good. I really liked the Bacon Cheese Fries. I ordered the sirloin steak with mushrooms and onions, medium rare… What I got was a medium well to well-done steak, and fajita style onions and peppers which were underdone. There were so few mushrooms that it’s not even worth mentioning… And sadness fell across the land… Dessert was the monthly special, Smore’s. The Smore’s we’re basically melted marshmallows, small chocolate chunks, with a sprinkling of graham cracker crumbs served over a thin chocolate cake. Not great but not bad… The waitress did very good job during rush it’s the kitchen that failed… I would have given them three stars but The meal was overpriced…

This place is great. Here tonight with my wife and son. Good menu, reasonably priced. The fish tacos were the best in town. My son loved the home made broccoli cheese soup. And, this place is donating 20% tonight to the Cub Run Elementary School PTA!

We’ve gone to O’Neill’s a number of times, as my husband loves the waffle cheese fries and I enjoy snarfing the cookie dough skillet. We enjoy the atmosphere, the kids love when the magician visits, and most of the time we are satisfied with the food. However, we really dislike the current«fries» they put with the entrees. These«fries» are nothing like the delicious waffle fries; they are over-cooked and just don’t taste good. We asked on our most recent trip if we could substitute waffle fries as a side instead of the«fries» they normally sold, but were told because the waffle fries were more expensive, we’d have to order them as cheese fries to get them. It seemed apparent to us that this was not the first time the waitress had gotten this substitution request. Sadly, both husband and I agreed that we probably would opt for other locales now over this one, since we are both french fry fans and the ones here are not worth it. Husband has also said some of his main meal choices were«just OK,» whereas I have always liked the cheesy chicken sandwich. Please change your basic fries to something edible so that we can come back!

Dining Date: March 24, 2014 for dinner. Uninspired menu full of comfort foods. Prices are fit for a college town, and you basically get what you pay for. Better to go here for the beer and watch a game. Service is good and beer selection is fair. Nothing Irish about this place as far as I could tell.
