The Healing Touch Wellness Spa

Came here for the first time while on vacation. Decided on this place based on the few Unilocal reviews and this place’s website. This also costs less than the closest spa to Massanutten, so that helped. Had the customized couples massage with my husband, which I highly recommend. The signature couples massage requires the masseuses to massage each person in tandem, which is ok but not if there are individual body issues.
What’s hot
— Customized towards your body issues. For example, my masseuse focused more on my neck and shoulders, which are my problem areas. My husband’s issues were his right knee and shoulders. (Hey, not every couple is perfect!). My masseuse also put a warm towel under my neck when she had me flip on my back. That heat definitely helped loosen my muscles. She also massaged my scalp a little, which helped and felt nice.
— Communicative. A good masseuse checks in with you about pressure, location, comfort, etc… These masseuses checked in with us.
— Nice ambiance. Clean (very important!) and comfortable.
— They didn’t skimp on our hour.
— You can tip via credit card.
What’s not
— The price is still a little high, but less expensive compared to many of the other local spas. It cost $ 165 for the hour. You can’t have everything and I’ll admit I’m spoiled. I’m used to massages in Los Angeles for $ 15 an hour.
For those of you are not familiar:
Any good spa requires you to fill out information about your body issues and health history. So if it’s your first time, I recommend arriving a few minutes early. Be honest about your body issues. That’s the only way the masseuse can cater to your needs. Wear comfortable clothing and don’t be self-​conscious.

Definitely worth it and if I’m back in the area, I plan on coming back.

My wife has been MISERABLE with neck pain for a month. She is much better now after one trigger point massage session. This is s specialized skill that is very effective in massage and long term pain relief. We were taken and shoehorned into s busy schedule on s Saturday on a long trip from home. Beautiful spa and superb care. It worked very well for her. Five star review.

After trying to book at our resort’s spa and receiving terrible service and being made to feel like an inconvenience I took to Unilocal and found glowing recommendations about the Healing Touch. The great reviews were true! Making an appointment was a breeze and a reminder text the day of even better. Checkin went very smoothly and the therapist was very personable. I will definitely visit again next year and avoid the resort:-)

This is a nice little day spay in the area. I highly recommend Ashley for facials and waxing!!! Be sure to try the tea, it’s wonderful. Also, I tried the airbrush tanning. The experience is a little strange but the service is professional and relaxed. The tan was pretty natural, no streaks or speckles, and it lasted about a week. Great for events.

I got a brazilian bikini wax at Healing Touch a couple of weeks ago. It was great, and still is. No irritation, bumps, or ingrown hairs. I highly recommend Ashley for any of your waxing needs. She is considerate and thorough (she’ll ask you specifically what you want and do not want. This is something many waxers don’t do, so finding Ashley was awesome!)

My bff and I went here for a massage for ladies weekend. We went in tired and sore, but came out feeling like shiny new nickels. The therapist were great. The hostess even helped me find where they were located when I got lost by coming outside to look for me. Of course the atmosphere was very relaxing and they offer beverages before and after. This place was truly a healing touch

WOW, WHAT A PLACE! My friend and I have been to this wonderful place 4 times and we are planning to going back. We will run not walk to this multi-​service wellness spa. We dragged our butts in there, tired and worn from a long weary work week. The spa greeted us with a gorgeous and well-​planned interior. But, the best was yet to come. We were massaged by two really great massage therapists, i.e., Kim and Emily. We also had other services, i.e., a reflexology treatment and a sweat box treatment. It was all good with plenty of warm and wonderful hospitality. We were served tea and water before and after our appointments and the prices were great. Thanks to the staff for a wonderful afternoon.

I found this place while vacationing in Harrisonburg. It was a very nicely designed spa, everything nice and new. The massage tables were even heated so they were nice and warm, which I thought was a nice touch.
The owner is a CMT and did a great job with my therapeutic massage. I would definitely go back.
