Best grinders around! Clean not dirty and needs update like Franklin grinders same for the staff, here the staff is nice and friendly. Might not have as much cutlets on the grinder as Franklin but fresh and tastes a lot better! Try everything soup is like Grandmas!

Love this place! Definitely old school Italian place. The service is always quick and friendly. Seating is limited and parking. They get a big lunch crowd so get here early or come after its disbursed. Their sub sizes are huge and I can never finish them. The neighborhood is kinda seedy but I’ll go through hell or high water for one of their subs. I’ll be visiting again real soon.

WOW… What a great experience! The Italian combo was outstanding, and at 16″ there was no way I would leave hungry. The bread was fresh and soft, the meats were delicious and proportioned perfectly. You will not have any regrets choosing this establishment for your sub/grinder! The service was too notch, and the gentleman preparing the sandwich, made it with pride, and made sure it was top-notch

I am a self– professed grinder snob. It’s s club of one. They do it right here: oil, good ham, thinly sliced, shredded lettuce, native plum tomatoes, black pepper, roasted green peppers and finally, what brings it all together, slices of provolone. Can’t wait to try more. Corner Grinder can hold its own against that Giant shop on Franklin Ave.

This review is based squarely upon their chicken parm grinder. 5 stars! It is the best in town. For whatever reason(out of loyalty because I was going down the street) I hadn’t checked this place out before. Giant has, and always will, have a place for me, but their grinders have shrunk in size over the past couple years. Not like size is a determining factor, but their bread changed or something, regardless, the Corner’s cutlets are just plain better. I’ve been back 3 time in the past month or so, and the Corner is consistently great. I’ll be sure to try other things soon, but the question is why? The Parm is too good. Service is great, and you get the standard sandwich/pizza shop setup. Always packed with happy customers.

Stopped here for a quick lunch with my parents who, while lovely people, view any sort of eating out as a heady extravagance. I knew, to avoid another lengthy lecture on the dangers of careless spending where I would have to yet again defend that having a cat(unnecessary expense) vs having a baby(«ABSOLUTELYNECESSARY» life decision) does not make me irresponsible and capricious, I would had to find a place that was cheap, good and fast but not fast food because again — I didn’t need reinforce my parents’ belief that I continuously make bad life choices. Enter Corner Grinder Shop. An unassuming deli along a strip of generic shops out of small town Americana. We ordered two half sandwiches because — why not? — that seems like a reasonable order for four fully grown adults right? After all, as my mother anxiously repeated in my ear, we still have snacks in the car. The cashier didn’t blink an eye and cheerfully directed us to the seating area which, thankfully was right next to the free, serve yourself, water(approving smiles elicited from both parents). Then the meal came — a chicken cutlet sandwich + and italian sausage — the only things bigger than the sandwiches were our eyes. They were HUGE. Amazing value for money and a direct vision of how obesity happens(a positive attribute when it comes to value conscious parents). The sandwiches had both quantity and quality with flavorful sauce, piping hot meat and delicious, chewy bread. The vegetables were well cooked and just thinking about that gooey cheese makes my mouth water even now. An amazing meal for four all under $ 20. By the end of the meal, I was a fan, my husband was a fan and my parents were absolutely fans — which, if you know my parents, is pretty much as good as it gets.

One day I had a hunger for an amazing chicken cutlet grinder. You know the ones. Stacked high with freshly made, perfectly breaded cutlet, with that handmade sauce that coats the cutlet to perfection. Don’t forget the melted cheese. And then baked to seal the deal. Well, my hubby had told me about Corner grinder and on this day, I wanted to finally try this famous joint. I called ahead, got one meatball and one chicken parm cutlet grinder. Thank you Lord for Corner grinder! My hubby was right. Not only was it amazing, I mean I’ll be honest, that’s the most important outcome of me coming here, but the service was unexpected. When i finally found this place to pick up my grinder, they were just about to close. I walked in and was promptly greeted by the owner. He was very friendly and believed in that old school customer service i am so fond of. They wanna get to know you, they remember you, it’s like you can easily tell this person your life story in 15 minutes and you connect with them and they remember. I don’t know about you, but I really respect that. He told me he didn’t heat up our grinders yet because he wanted them fresh. Again, I respect that. I left so he could close after chatting with him a few moments more and I told him I’d definitely be back, and I will. This is one of those places you have to try before you kick it. Enough said. Thank me, you’re welcome.

I haven’t been here in some time but wanted to still review from past experiences. Great lunches here along side of EMTs and Firefighters, etc. Everyone comes here for grinders and this place gets packed! I don’t go here quite as often anymore because parking is so difficult… But great grinders!

This is where those«in the know» go for a real Franklin Avenue grinder, not«the other place» down the road! Enzo runs a tight ship… and everything is prepared fresh daily. My personal favorite is the beef cutlet grinder… toasted in the oven, dripping with tomato sauce and mozarella, and topped with roasted peppers! The chicken soup and pizza with spinach, sausage, and potatoes are also excellent! Try to get there before 11:30am or after 1pm, because it get BUSY, and packed with firefighters, EMTs, police officers, and local business people… they know where to go! Now you do, too!

We were pressed for time between moving into his dorm and the coaches meeting. This was the closest and quickest option, especially not knowing the area too well yet. Great choice! It’s «old school» and basic in décor, but the food was delicious. Since a kid I have always ordered a roast beef sandwhich. I’m very particular about the taste and texture. My grinder was like what I grew up on in NJ! And the half was huge! One guest with us ordered the sausage and broccoli rabe. Other than a slight bit too much oil, she loved it. Everyone enjoyed their grinders as well. It doesn’t appear to be in the best of neighborhoods. Don’t let that fool you. The food was great’ and the guys inside were wonderful! They gave us a warm welcome, joked around a little and brought the food out to the table. Would definitely go back!

This is place to go to for a grinder period. The cutlet grinders and the steak and cheese(italian style with vinegar) are my go to sandwiches. You won’t be disappointed.

Only 7 reviews for a restaurant that’s more than 30 years old?! This place doesn’t advertise, that’s for sure. I’ll take the obvious approach of comparing them to their neighbors down the road, Franklin Giant Grinder. Corner is a little smaller with an unassuming exterior. But once you’re inside, the staff here is friendlier. Corner’s prices are lower and the sandwiches are, of course, smaller and not stuffed to quite the same extent. Basically, this is the more sensible option when you aren’t in the mood for complete, hedonistic excess. They also have a more extensive selection of Italian dishes than the other grinder places. Gnocchi, various ziti dishes, steak pizzaiola, pizza, calzones, etc. The meatball grinder was incredible, perfectly seasoned with a nice spicy kick. The pizzaiola was delicious as well. I’m spoiled from living so close to four incredible grinder places, and this could very well be the best of them all.

Chicken cutlet sandwich please! So delicious. When I ordered over the phone they told me what usually comes on it(sauce and cheese — I got mozzarella), which I appreciated since it was my first time. I asked for a few extra things to be added on(lettuce, tomato, and hot peppers) and they were very accommodating. You also get the option of having it cold or toasted in the oven. I got the«whole» sandwich, knowing that I needed something for lunch and for dinner. I was pre-warned by my co-worker that it was huge, but I didn’t expect it to be so large! It was basically like having two sandwiches. A half of a «whole» was the size of a Subway sandwich, but obviously much more delicious. The hot peppers on it was great. My only complaint was that between the breading on the chicken and the bread, it was a little dry. There was no sauce on it like the person on the phone stated. It could have used mayo, hot sauce, oil and vinegar or something to help add some moisture. It was just under $ 16 for a «whole» chicken cutlet grinder, but it is totally worth it for the size and quality. The guys there were really nice too! May not be in the best area, but in the day time I felt perfectly safe. There is seating inside but I got take out. They take credit card, $ 5 minimum. Small parking lot available too.
