Di Maggio Cafe

I had my first cannoli here and I’d never go anywhere else. Coming to this café for a cannoli is a special treat that can’t be had anywhere else. I’ve also ordered their cookies and those are top-​notch as well. I haven’t had a chance to try their coffee but it looks so good too!

I’m a bit annoyed that I just reordered from this place for delivery because their food was great the last time I ordered. The delivery guy gives me my food and repeatedly says he’s never delivering to my area because it’s too far. While my location may be further from the restaurant, it’s still on Eat 24 with the delivery option, and it was very rude of this driver to complain to me about having to drive out to deliver my food.
And the buffalo chicken salad I got wasn’t very good. They put American cheese on it which I feel should’ve been a goat or gorgonzola cheese

Excited to try this place after reading the reviews. I went in on a Wed night and sat at the bar. I was served a water and sat unattended for almost 15 minutes. I wasn’t even given a menu to look at nor was I asked what I wanted to drink. Other dinners arrived after I did and they were immediately helped. They obviously need more staff or need to hire help that can service thier customers in a reasonable amount of time. I’m sorry I didn’t get to try thier food.

Amazing food and excellent service! One of the best spots in the neighborhood for good Italian food. Quick delivery, friendly staff, great prices and delicious dishes. I definitely recommend this place!

Best place to have authentic homemade Sicilian food! You have to try it. I have tried most of the pastas and loved them all. This place makes me feel like I am at home. Great place and great service !

Came here for dinner last week and it Exceptional. I love the calamari. The waitress was very attentive and helpful. My drinks were always filled and I had a great time.

I love the seafood here! We like to order out on Fridays, so this place came in very handy during Lent. The calamari is fantastic. The pizza is tasty. The salmon vesuvio is yumola! My daughter had a calzone that she said was delicious. The only reason I give four stars instead of five is because it gets very pricey, very quickly. I think it could be a better value, but you do get delicious food, so there’s that!

I was in over the weekend. We Unilocaled Italian restaurants near the area to look at the reviews and I am so glad we decided on Café DiMaggio. Everything was so delicious we started out with calamari and it was a lovely golden color. I had the chicken Cesar salad and the dressing was amazing. My friend had chicken parm and said it melted in the mouth. We will definitely be back and would recommend this restaurant as the service and food are stellar.

I came here the other day for dinner, not excepting much and I was blown away by authentic Italian food. This place is a hidden Gem. My wife and I ordered the grilled calamari for an appetizer and it was cooked to perfection. I had the chicken marsala and my wife had the grilled salmon and it some of the best food I have ever had at an Italian resturant. Long story short if you want amazing Italian food I high recommend Dimaggio’s café. The waitresses where very attentive and did a great job

Pretty authentic Italian food. Ingredients and spices not overpowering and the ambiance is a good family friendly atmosphere.

The ambiance was great and the food was good. The owner was kind as well, but I wasn’t a big fan of our waitress. The place was busy, but I felt like it was understaffed. Like I said I wasn’t a real big fan of our waitress either. I’d recommend this place to anyone who likes local restaurants. This isn’t the most ideal place for anyone who gets claustrophobic. However, the food was good.

Service was 5 stars. However food was not. I ordered a bbq salad and the sauce was too sweet for my liking. I changed my order to fettuccine with grilled chicken and was given something completely different. I basically was served the same chicken hidden in a white sauce. My worker order the fettuccine and her sauce was delicious and savory and mine was not! The chicken was tough and still tasted sweet. The owner came out to greet the table next to us but clearly skipped us. I am a business owner and what they did is not okay. I have my office 10 min away and after meeting my clients; they always ask to be directed to a good restaurant. I always support the small local businesses but with this incident I will send them across the street to the other Italian restaurant. If you want business treat all clients equal and don’t serve inedible food.

We came across this gem, quite by chance, after a random trip down Harlem Avenue.
We has the pasta with marinara and the salmon vesuvio. Both dishes were fresh tasting, presented nicely and were fully enjoyed.
Our server, Angela was polite, prompt and friendly. The owner Frank, came over after dinner was finished and thanked us for stopping by; how nice is that!
Go here and enjoy a meal prepared with fresh ingredients and served by people who genuinely seem to like being there.

Owner of the place is Sicilian. Awesome staff came here with a friend of the owner so we had specially made risotto with FRESH truffle shavings & truffle oil. Yum.

I like this place. Clean, unpretentious, good food and good prices. We met a friend for lunch today. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan Sandwich, my fabulous wife ordered the BBQ Chicken salad and our friend ordered the Prosciutto and fresh Mozzarella sub… I didn’t take a picture of the sub but it was 11″ long and looked fabulous… next time, that’s what I’ll order. The salad hit a home run with my wife, did I mention she’s fabulous, and I was satisfied, but not over the top satisfied, with the parmesan sandwich. No mistake, very good, chicken was cooked just right. maybe I was more in the mood for the prosciutto and Mozzarella. My sandwich came with fries, the Prosciutto came with chips and the salad came with a smile. The server was friendly and attentive, kept our drinks filled.
If you’re near Harwood Hts… you can count on a good lunch experience. Oh, free WiFi… I take a star off for any restaurant that flaunts their wifi by name but won’t let you use it. DiMaggio’s is a solid 4 stars… maybe 5 if I order the Prosciutto!

We stopped in here not too long ago for dinner and it was such a treat! We live in the area and actually thought it was a place to stop in and take a quick meal to go, but quickly realized it’s a cute little restaurant. It reminded us of a little café we had lunch at while in Little Italy in New York City so we stayed. I ordered the Sicilian Salad — it was very good and I would definitely order again. I also got a yummy Cappuccino before we left! I definitely want to go back and try their pizza… I hear it’s good!

I love this little place because it reminds me of the kind of place you’d find in a New York neighborhood. Di Maggio’s is a frequent lunch spot for me because I work in the area.
I usually order their Pepper & Egg sandwich (it’s very good) and have had the Eggplant Parm and a few other items on the menu and always enjoy my meal. The service is fast and friendly too.
I have never tried their pizza but that is next on my list — and don’t forget to pick up some Italian cookies on your way out, they are delicious!

I relied on my Unilocal App to find Di Maggio Café. I was lunching with my wife and a couple of older relatives so I needed to find a place that could cater to a broad spectrum of tastes. Di Maggio’s is a small place in a strip mall but there seemed to be plenty of parking.
I had the Chicken Vesuvio along with the potatoes and thought it was okay. The potatoes were a little over cooked and the Chicken Vesuvio was just okay in my book. I’ve had better and I have had worse Chicken Vesuvio in my travels over the years.
Our first basket of bread as kind of the burnt but improved after the initial basket. My dining companions seemed to enjoy their meals. The service was good, I would probably return to try some other items on the menu.
