When we pulled up to this«lodge,» I wondered what the hell I was thinking when I booked a room in this place. I didn’t really want to go in. We had already payed for this place though. The room was so cheap at a discount price that I didn’t have much hope that it wouldn’t creep me out. We were going to spend fewer than 10 hours getting rest at this place, so we just took a chance. The very nice clerk assigned us a room. While we were unloading our stuff, we saw that our neighbor had their door open and was playing VERY loud music. Upon entering our room, I was afraid to touch anything. The dark paneled walls, the 80’s comforters and the very dated furniture and decorations sent me back to my younger years. I checked the bed for bedbugs(all clear). Upon closer inspection, everything appeared to be extremely clean and the bathroom was well maintained and updated. There was even a full size refrigerator. The bed was so comfortable. The television was huge and nice. The booming music ended by the time we were settled in. This is a fine place to stay for an overnight visit. There really isn’t much to see in Hastings, so this was strictly a resting place for us.
