Yea, pretty good stuff, got ground chuck, kielbasa, and a sirloin for about 30 bucks. I would give another star if I knew where the beef comes from. My Noho buddy said they are from NJ, I would prefer to hear they are local cows.

I simply can’t agree with a 3 star rating based on appearance alone. Yes, you drive through an industrial park to get here. No, the parking lot is not paved. Yes, it looks a bit like a shack and could use a coat of paint. But everyone here is helpful and friendly, and the meat is not only inexpensive but also some of the highest quality I’ve seen. Many of the independent markets in Western Mass. get their bulk cuts here, break them down, and mark them up. Why not go directly to the source and get fresher, cheaper meat? My personal favorite is the pepper steaks(chopped steak patties with mixed in diced red and green peppers — delicious for grilling or pan-frying), but it’s also hard to beat something like a whole tenderloin for ~$ 50!

This is a real find for me because I like to cook things that require a real butcher, not a meat packager like what you find at the stores today. Real butcher shops have bones and other parts that the big chain supermarkets just don’t have. This place has it all and they do whole freezer packages. They can take an entire hind quarter and cut it up into whatever you want from chops to steaks. The staff is pleasant and very helpful. The other plus about this place is the price. I got ten pounds of beef bones(I’m sure it was like 12 lbs) for $ 10! The only reason I didn’t give this place 5 stars is that the store itself is in desperate need of a re-model, The carpets are water stained and the ceiling is as well. But I have never had a problem with the meat thus far, It has been perfect in every way.
