Starbucks has always been synonymous with a relaxing, chilled out coffee spot with friendly service an a dead on quality, good food that is the same regardless of which Starbucks you go to. Now I am a typical customer of theirs that likes my certain drink an food item an have always found it to be the same wherever I go. I recently had my reality checked when I went into this Starbucks an ordered a praline latte and lemon pound cake. Coffee was excellent but the pound cake was thrown on the counter from a storage container, while still wrapped in its factory plastic shipping packaging. From the last 10 years I’ve been ordering pound cake, it’s always been heated an served in a tissue wrap in a small bag… I was floored. The training of employees on proper presentation of a signature product is vastly needed.
