China King Super Buffet

We tried this place last week. Everything we had was wonderful! The prime rib was excellent and worth the price all by itself. Crab legs were hot, clams were tender. I would recommend this place to my friends. We were surprised that we were there on a Saturday night and it was not very busy. Perhaps we came just after the rush. We’ll be back!

Eh, Not amazing yet not horrible. I’ve definitely had worse Chinese buffets. The food is hot and pretty fresh. The staff is friendly and very quick getting drinks and such. They come back often to see if you need refills. The coconut shrimp are very tasty and I like their crab rangoons. They have a pretty large selection.

Ordered a pupu platter from this place. Drive home and NO SWEET AND SOUR SAUCE? Unfortunately, this isnt the first time this has happened. Drive back to the place and explain. Incredibly, the person trys to look up my order ?? Not happy about having to drive back. I then ask, «can I just have some packets?» She then hesitantly hands me TWO packets? Also notice they no longer keep the packets on the counter in reach of customers. Not sure why this place treats sweet and sour sauce like the most expensive condiment known to man. DONE WITH THIS PLACE.

$ 7.99 for lunch and $ 11.99 for Dinner. This is ALL YOU CAN EAT on a great budget. Good for a family of three! Myself, Boyfriend, and Stepson all enjoy eating here together on the weekends if we can. Also, every Thursday my boyfriend and I come here for dinner with his co-​workers. The food is always fresh and changed out, even at 8pm. I like how I can always choose to have some American food, and dessert! The atmosphere is nice– the big beautiful chandalier, dim neon lights, and always clean. The waitresses could be more personable /​friendly, however they do come and swap your drinks out often. I enjoy their Bourbon Chicken, Rice, and Greenbeans! Plus if you like alcholo, they built a brand new bar.

Tuesday, 2pm: I’m in a ravenous mood and thought I’d try a buffet to suit my cravings. Our waitress was quick to greet us, sat us close to the food and took our drink orders immediately. There were a lot of options, there must have been at least 5 varieties of chicken alone. Food was good. Sushi was ok, obviously don’t ever go for the tempura ones they’re always soggy. Desserts literally looked thrown together to be honest but this place really isn’t bad for a $ 7 lunch. The restaurant is attractive with all the pink and blue lights, bar looks new and the fish tank was clean.

First time here with my family. Food is good. We like it. Thank god it’s not fine dining room service. because the service is not good. I will come back for the food not the service.

r and food and staff have gone downhill so badly food is old at best most the time anymore warmers on buffet table barelt a ork so food is cold before you sit down staff get upset and yell if you complain and lecture you on food cost when you pay exp the sushi muscle and alot of other items where warm and had very bad taste told staff they start yelling at me and my gf about coat of seafood when we go to pay won’t be coming back soon h ope closes soon as o something better can move we in

I’d like to say this restaurant is great but it definitely is fair at best. Nothing tasted particularly fresh or special and the desserts would have been tough to identify by taste had I been blindfolded. I’d go again if I had limited time to eat and didn’t feel like spending more than $ 7.99.

We had a disappointing experience here last week. immediately upon walking in the door they were dealing with some kind of mess with the fish tank just inside the door. There was a huge puddle (more like a flood) you had to walk through to get inside the restaurant. There was a filthy looking garbage can full of water sitting there and no staff in sight. What do they say about first impressions? Staff was uninspired, distracted and disinterested. Dropping off bent and crooked silverware, stacks of chipped plates by the buffet. To their credit they did offer to refill my Wife’s soda (but not mine), No refills for the water glasses. There is a sign over the table saying «Don’t waste the food». It’s a buffet… The food was nothing special and selection was somewhat limited. Only one fried rice, vegetarian. Desert cakes were dry and stale.
Cheap price, cheap service, cheap food. Wish I knew someone else in the family had a gift certificate, if I used it I wouldn’t have to go back. I can always re-​gift the gift certificate. There are too many good and decent choices around town to bother with this place. I don’t usually tank my restaurant reviews but we definitely walked away disappointed.

Horrible Experience! Ever! Never again am I going over there! They made my boyfriend and I feel very different and not treated the same. My boyfriend and I are Hispanics in our early 20’s and I feel like they thought we wasn’t going to pay them? Because once we got there n said 2 people are only eating, right there she told us we had to pay up front?(Now I haven’t been in this haverhill Buffett in a long time) so I thought it was something new. Well as we got our food it was around 5−6ish afternoon our food was COLD! I would think with the money we at least pay it will be warm and got no it was COLD! As we are getting out cold food I look at our surrounds and I see white and older people eating surrounding by us so when they were done they billed after they ate. So I got a little bit defensive and I was going to say something because that wasn’t fair at all. Now the next people next to us again once they finished they food the Chinese waitress bill them too! I was going to say something to them but my boy friend said,” babe don’t even waste your time, we just won’t come here again.” And I said you are right and one thing me and my boyfriend leave good tips but for their lack and poor service and basically racist! We left them nothing ! NEVER AGAIN WILL GO THERE! I will rather go to the one in methuen! Always good and HOT and you feel the SAME! I wish I can give them a BIG FAT ZERO!

Best Chinese food I’ve had in a long time. Big variety. Didn’t have anything I didn’t like. Will definitely go back again. Cost was under $ 12 per adult. Great price for the amount offered on the buffet.

0 Stars, actually negative 5 stars. Most disgusting crap I’ve ver had! I would NEVER go back or even recommend it to anyone! We were scared to eat more than ½ the shit! So now I’ll go home & puke happily! Be afraid be very afraid!

$ 11.99 for an adult buffet on a Friday night? That sold me immediately. The food was decent for a buffet, with many options to choose from. I was surprised to see even sushi and crab legs available. We went during early evening, and saw they also refreshed the food regularly throughout the night. For the price, I figured this would be one of those «I’m starving, where do you want to go? I don’t know, but I could eat a horse right now» places. Sometimes you care more about quantity than quality.
We went back about a month later, on a Saturday night, with two hours before close. I figured that would be enough time to get some fresh food. Wrong. We picked at the remnants of the food; totally unappealing. No fresh food came out for the remainder of the night. The sushi had been sitting out for a while, which was disappointing because last time it had tasted alright. The spicy mayo bottle looked disgusting, with different layers congealed inside. I ate what I could but left feeling unsatisfied and kind of gross. I won’t be returning again.

The new bar looks very nice, only problem I see is, there’s no bartender. Maybe they couldn’t find one yet. Anyways, Like I say when I’m in a rush, this is my first choice since it’s like 2 mins from my house. Keep up the good work.

For a Chinese Buffett, this one is good. Good prices and good food. Restaurant is clean with a large selection. Items you’d expect to see and some you wouldn’t.

Good food, good prices… Can’t beat that… Food is always fresh here. And the number of choices is great… Even my wife who gets skeeved out at buffet loves this place.

I’ve been here 5 times now and I’ve got to say that for the price, it’s not that bad. Compared to those chain China Buffet restaurants (which are absolute garbage) this place is a breath of fresh air. The food is actually very good and there is a wide variety, they even have American food that is pretty good too. Overall is it worth the 20 Mile drive there from Peabody? Yes, especially when it’s only 2 – 3 people going, however gas and price wouldn’t equal out if it were more people. Anyways, I’m craving some good Chinese Food and will be back soon with a couple buddies.

Yes, it’s worth the drive and helps u save money instead of buying take out chinese food which is more expensive if you eat a lot like my friends and I.

Alright. Ever hear the old Lewis Black joke about ‘Candy Corn’? That’s my story with this place.
I’ll enlighten those of you who may not be familiar. It’s the same thing. No matter how many times I’m disappointed by this place, I find myself going back like an Alzheimer’s patient, because it surely can’t be as bad as I remember. And it is.
Now, it’s hard to really screw up Chinese food, as it is one of the most delicious things on the face of the planet. That being said, these guys manage to screw it up on a consistent basis.
Don’t get me wrong. It’s never been absolutely horrible, unless you want to count that one time my friend and I both called out sick after eating there once (possibly a coincidence, but eeeeeh.) Some of the food is passable, and honestly, you won’t leave hungry… as in you’ll find SOMETHING good, but as far as buffets go… sometimes quantity isn’t everything.
Long story short: Cheap food of questionable quality. But I’ll be back… sometime…

I wanted to give this place a 5, but their food is not perfect.
It is WICKED CHEAP.
they have a HUGE selection of food.
They have PLENTY of American food if your kids are picky.
Their food is 7.5÷10 I would say. Nothing is great, but none of it is particularly not good.
It is far from me, otherwise I would go all the time. If you’re in the area, and love eating a ton of food — I highly recommend it.

The greatest thing to come to the former home of Kappy’s in haverhill! I don’t recall anything ever being in this space for the past 20 years, but China King has entered, and hopefully staying.
I mean not that we need unlimited buffet, but its so good. The chef is some white dude so he incorporates american amongst the chinese-​american fare. They always have a plethora of sushi, fish, chicken, pork and beef dishes which are usually unique and common, fattening and delish.
The staff are attentive and barely speak english, but its ok, they get what you need quickly. There is fruit, ice cream and pastries for dessert.
You can alwyas find a 10% off coupon on their menu or in the paper, so if you go with a group its worth it, although its not that expensive to begin with.
