Overall, Hans is a nice place. Strong mix drinks and the food is pretty good. This place honestly has the best crab rangoons in the area.

Han is the man; we walked in late and in his very accommodating way took care of a last-minute party of 4. The food was delicious and the drinks were on point! The orange chicken and lo-mein were full of flavor.

Ordered takeout for the first time from this place. I have to say this will be the first and last time. The food was all slapped into one container and the rice had way to much soy sauce. I prefer a lighter fried rice. The sauce was a little gelatin. It did not taste very good. Very disappointing!

Hans Garden has great food, drinks and device. The owner is always there and is extremely friendly and personable. This place is perfect for a quick dinner and drinks. Busy crowd on the weekends and nice deck on back.

We had gone back there to try this place again for drinks Now mind you the place may have good FOOD, BUT the drinks especially the tiki drinks like the scorpion bowls and Mai Tai worst I ever had in my life. Mentioned it, they don’t care. sounds harsh but that was what I was told when I mentioned it, so if you are a 19 yr old with a fake ID And don’t care then this place is GREAT ! Just saying

Got take out, was good at all. General Gau’s chicken, small fatty pieces of chicken. Egg roll wasn’t cooked all the way. Crab Rangoon lacking cream cheese.

I presume most of the people who rate both service and food here are probably pretty toasted and halfway in the bag from booze. First off waitress was very short and rude, asked a question of type of chicken in dish and not what I wanted but just took the order anyway and ran. Gaus chicken was all dark, nasty sauce and very small peices, most of which is breading. The chicken in chicken fried rice tasted like last week’s leftovers, no flavor of cardboard. Should stick to Wang.

Was craving for some beef chow foon and guest what Hans garden have? Exactly what I was craving for. Not just that, they tasted just like Chinatown! I would say a few other restaurants in Haverhill have the same item on their menu but this is the real deal. Hey believe me, I’m Chinese and I know my Chinese food. I’ve tried a few other dishes on their menu and so far so good. Haven’t tried their sushi bar yet and it will be soon.

Let’s begin with the world’s best barmaid Miss Christy. She’s Mr. Han’s meal ticket. Only foolin’. The new sushi guy does a lovely job. All food items are fresh and the sushi portions are generous. Very busy night life.

We ordered from here for new years eve. The staff was very friendly over the phone and when picking food up. All of the food was fresh and delicious. Crab Rangoon was a little different in a good way. House fried rice was great. The best Chinese food I’ve ever had !

When did they get such delicious sushi?! Having been here before for Chinese food– I thought it was decent enough. Definitely a unique bar/Chinese food experience– I always think of this place as more of a bar than a Chinese restaurant. Recently I saw the sign for sushi so I decided to give it a roll(pun intended). HOLYAMAZINGSUSHI! Some of the best I’ve had. So fresh and so delicious, after every bite there is mmmmming and aahhhhhing. Keep it up Hans Garden. Your sushi is fantastic and is my new favorite place.

This place made me happy. First, serves until 10PM on a week night. Second, yummy, glistening and flavorful vegetarian moo shi. Really good. Third, nice friendly waiter and good service despite me dining alone. Fourth, giant serving. I will easily get three meals from this. Fifth, a free pot of smoky tea and it’s a glass pot and has daisies on it. Only flaw… pancakes keep tearing. But they taste fine. And there is a lively neighborhood bar and rock and roll playing so don’t expect Zen tranquility or classical music. You won’t get either in this great brick-walled, dragon decorated hole-in-the-wall GEM.

My family and I came here after buying several live lobsters off a fishing boat in Maine on the way back from a vacation. Around dinnertime, we called a couple of places hoping to find a restaurant willing to cook our lobsters. Hans Garden was the only one to agree, so we brought in a couple of lobsters hoping the restaurant could just boil or steam them. Much to our amazement, our lobsters came out as beautiful, glistening dishes piled high with scallions and ginger. The lobsters were cooked to perfection and broken in just the right places so that we could easily fork out the tender meat. It absolutely surpassed all of our expectations – and blew the tasteless, tough lobster meat we had in Maine out of the water. The other dishes we ordered – mapo tofu, string beans, fried rice – were delicious as well. The manager, Tony was extremely welcoming and stopped by the table several times during our meal to talk to us. The amazing food and attentive service definitely made this one of the most memorable meals I’ve had thus far!

I’ve been here a few times, both for dinner and to go out with some friends and its always a good time! The drinks are reasonably priced, even on busy Saturday nights, and it’s usually pretty packed. The food is also very good, and the portions are large. It’s really not that expensive like many Asian restaurants can be. My only complaint is that I found it a little weird seeing the host? or the bartender? eating a full box of Chinese noodles. It was strange and unprofessional. Take it out back where no one can see. I understand if you haven’t eaten but come on…

If you have never been I would highly recommend it, haven’t had a bad meal ever. I highly recommend the beef teriyaki, any of the rice, egg rolls and spring rolls. There is no MSG in the food and they can do gluten/soy/dairy free if you want/need. The menu is large, anything not on the menu the cook or tony can prepare whatever if you ask, substitutions or custom items are never an issue here. There is no food on Mondays but they do serve hotdogs and chips for those that want them. As far as drinks go this place beats out the local competition on mixed drinks, Tony is a an amazing mixologist, and can make anything you might ever want. Try out the wiskey drink line if that’s your forte, you can get cold fireball if you want it, trash cans are pretty popular here as well. In short if you have never been or if you even don’t care for Chinese food, try this place out it will sure change your mind towards what Chinese food is supposed to be like!

For $ 45 including tip, you and a friend can get a full on meal and tipsy off a scorpion bowl. We got the plain fried rice and a bunch of vegetables. The service was a bit pushy, but totally efficient. The food came out fast and our scorpion bowl came out on fire. It was very sweet, but no more than typical scorpion bowls and you could definitely taste the booze in it. With the food, they bring out duck sauce, soy sauce, as SPICY mustard. I like spice, but beware that mustard until you get a feel for it. I definitely want to come back! It’s like a sports bar run by the Chinese with their food and«exotic cocktails»! Love it

My husband and I avoided eating at Hans for a long time because we thought how good could the food be at a weird Asian/sports bar that’s usually packed with drunks at night? Well recently we learned that the food is very good! The crab rangoons made all the crab rangoons we’ve ever had before seem like crap. They were fresh and full of veggies and crab, not just a mass of cream cheese! The friend rice was packed with egg and crispy veggies, and the orange shrimp(on the house specialties menu) was covered in a delicious sauce with pieces of orange peel in it. The night scene at Hans isn’t always my thing, but I will definitely be coming back for dinner!
