Food was good. Our server, Jen, was very sweet and attentive.

1) the food was great, loved the salmon and the guacamole. 2) great service, Jenn was very attentive and accomadating. Then why only 2 stars you ask? AWFUL ambiance. Owner please read and act before it is too late. The lights are ceiling spotlights intended for art work in a gallery. The are not intended to be pointing on someones thinning hair, or well weathered face! Then the tables are some homemade variety that is completely off. The two tops are long and narrow putting your dinner companion uncomfortably far away, you cannot have an intimate dinner conversation and with the lights glaring on their bald head and wrinkly face, it might be the last time you want to have dinner with them. If you go, try to get one of the 4 tables in the middle of the floor. No lights, and they are regular table size.

We loved all of the food here, and the opportunity to eat it with our own wines. The Paella, though somewhat small, is very tasty, as are the various tapas dishes. The service was outstanding, and the only negative is that they don’t accept American Express.

We have gotten take out and attempted to eat here a couple of times. Each time staff have consistently been rude or aprubt, right down to the teenage waitress. During our last and final try we ended up leaving before even ordering. I don’t know if the napkins were brand new or what but the reeked of chemicals, it was hot as hades, questions about food options were met with annoyance and poor/confusing explanations about portions and we were advised to order multiple quantities to feel adequately nourished. We have given up on this place. I miss the previous restaurant.

Hidden gem with incredible tapas, friendly staff(who seem to LOVE food, too, and get excited talking about it AKA my kind of people), cute vibe(and outdoor seating), fast service but no pressure to rush the meal. The marg mix by the pitcher was really tasty and fresh(fruit and jalapeño). We went to celebrate my birthday and will def be back for more.

Came in during dinner time with a party of 8. The place was already fairly packed so the server was nice enough to put together the three two tops in the middle of the restaurant. Felt bad for the server as she was running the place solo, but she was doing a great job trying to make our party feel welcome but also keep all the other tables afloat. When it came time to order food we ordered a little bit of everything. Tacos, salad, soup, scallops, mussels, and more. It was all great. Everyone enjoyed sharing all of the different dishes. Even though our server was very busy she came by to refill my water without mentioning it, and bussed our table in between courses so we never had to look at what remained of various plates. Its a byob, probably next time we will bring a bottle of tequila to try their pitchers of mixers.

Saturday night about 845 we were able to get a table no problem. The young man waiting on us was very nice. The chips and guacamole were yummy. We ordered the chicken tacos, pinchos(meat kabobs), crab nachos. The only criticism would be the cheese sauce on the very good fresh crab. Everything else was so so good and fresh. My menu suggestions would be: If the chef would add a spicy shrimp taco? Also some dessert with fresh fruit, mango pineapple with sorbet? This venue has poor air conditioning, so when it’s hot outside its hot inside but if it’s a regular night in the 70s it’s comfortable, generally not a sweater place. It is a small store front café so tight seating and a little loud when full. The seating is small tables. It’s a bit dark. Pretty painting on the walls.

We were seated outside and then ignored for 15 minutes before we gave up and left. The other tables(some of whom were seated AFTER us) around us were being attended to, so that was really the tipping point. It was like we were invisible. Bummed because we really wanted to exeprience the restaurant after enjoying some of their food at the Haverford Spring Fest this year, but there’s no excusing this level of poor service.

Our 2nd time there, the first was great. This was Saturday, 4−11−15 and when we got there at 7, we were told our reservation was mistakenly put down as 730. No big deal, we popped down to the bar on the corner and had a drink. When we came back we were seated in the middle of the room, between a table of 10 on the right and 8 on the left. The noise was so loud we couldn’t hear ourselves think. The staff Seemed rushed and overwhelmed. BYOB is a great concept, but the table of 8 had a half a case of empty beer bottles on thier table. Meals long over, they weren’t going anywhere. This room is only about 1 ½ size of the average living room. There is a way to nicely move people along when thier meals are over, this staff wasn’t prepared to do that. We paid our check quickly, the staff couldn’t clear our plates off the table, still shell-shocked from the big crowd.

Excellent. Loved the BYOT(tequila). You get to chose a margarita mix and add your own. We had soup, corn, tacos, quesatillas, burritos, and everything was delicious. Definitely will go again.

Had a FANTASTIC meal at Vida’s on New Year’s Day. We originally wanted to goto the Edgewood but they had a private function and suggested we try Vida’s…So glad we did! Our party of 6 was treated like royalty, mostly because we had the restaurant to ourselves for most of the meal. We were promptly seated and given 2 shareable appetizers, the name of I cannot recall but we were told it was basically black bean hummus served with plantain chips. It was delicious and a great way to start our night! Another reason we felt like royalty… they had extra Margarita’s from NYE the night before and gave us all free drinks! We had a table full of margaritas! The blueberry pomegranate was by far the favorite! Our servers got us started off right and kept things going the rest of the night. I did take note of the tables… they are long and you could very easily be sitting closer to the stranger next to you than your wife at the other end of your table… They seemed to have them spaced out so it didn’t seem like it would be too much of an issue… But it was hard to tell as we were the only ones in there! Overall I liked the atmosphere. Interesting artwork, the kitchen uptop in the back of the restaurant… I liked the vibe as soon as I walked in… and that was before the free drink! We had a variety of dishes and everyone was very happy and FULL by time we got out of there… Some of the items that stood out… the scallops… I hate them, and all things from the sea, but they were a big hit at the table! The kobe beef tacos… WOW…I could have eaten those all night! I was also a big fan of the Street Corn… and the Tres Leches cake… which was not quite as «leches» as other tres leches I’ve had, but it was still very good. The Dulce de Leche Cheesecake stole the show tho, and that is coming from a chocolate lover! I found the Chocolate Truffle Cake too dense and was very happy I got the Tres Leches… Somehow, as someone else noted, we got the Taquitos without anyone ordering them… I was not a fan, it seems too much like something you would buy at the store and throw in the oven at home… Also didn’t care for the Pinchos, altho some folks at the table did… I didn’t find the sauces to my liking… We also had an issue with our shrimp and lobster croquettes, which were delicious, but were pretty much served with dessert they took so long! I had the Ancho-Honey Glazed Double Cut pork chop with white sweet potato mash… the sweet potato mash was a LOVELY surprise… never heard of it before but WOW, so delicious it couldn’t be good for me! The pork chop was cooked perfectly, juicy with a suggestion of pink… The filet mignon was also very well received at our table. Overall we had a WONDERFUL experience and cannot wait to go back, not to mention we really want to try Edgewood! Friendly service, BYOB, food for sharing, food for not sharing, and great desserts… Thank you whoever booked that private event at Edgewood!

The service was very good, friendly and quick even when they were short staffed. The ambiance was nice if you like a smaller environment. It’s a BYOB which I like as well. The food was ok. I had tortilla soup which I liked. The chicken and steak skewers was somewhat mediocre. The steak was a little tough and the chicken was bland with some bbq sauce. We also had some pork in a roll which was very good. Overall a pretty good local BYOB that can use to spice up the menu a bit.

OMG tapas in little Havertown! Did California fall off into the ocean? Does the sun still rise in the east? A few years ago this would have been unthinkable but now this new place has been warmly welcomed by the community. We encountered a few bumps in the road last night but enjoyed ourselves and we’ll be back. The lovely wife and I waited until the grand opening jitters and chaos had hopefully died down and last night was the night. We called ahead and rolled in about 6:30 and were seated immediately. These folks are a BYOB and, if you look at the website, they also have a cocktail mixer menu. So you can bring along a bottle of rum or tequila and make yourself an interesting drink. If you don’t know that when you visit, you certainly should be told about it so you can plan your NEXTVISIT. Unfortunately it’s not on the menu and it’s not on a card displayed the table. You finally see it as a little note in the credit card folder as you leave. That’s the wrong place and needs fixing.(Bump) Last night we ordered– Kobe Beef Tacos($ 10) Crispy Smoked Chicken Chimichangas($ 8) Smoked Duck Quesadilla($ 9) Serrano Ham Wrapped Scallops($ 14) Street Corn($ 3) Unfortunately it was only day two for our young waitress and Kobe Beef Tacos somehow translated into Roast Pork Taquitos($ 9). We were disappointed but when they arrived we decided to keep them.(Bump) So the Taquitos and Chimichangas arrived first and they were fine. When it comes to great tapas I’m expecting an explosion of flavor in my mouth and that didn’t happen for either of us. They were tasty enough but nothing special. Now things took a turn for the better in a big way. The Duck Quesadilla was a HUGEHIT. As others have said this is a delicious dish bursting with flavor. Next came the Scallops and were HUGEHIT again. Scallops are a favorite for the wife and she smiled with every bite. Last up was the Street Corn. OMG! This is a perfect example of a flavor explosion in your mouth and the best $ 3 you will ever spend! Last night several of our tapas were served on giant plates and that’s unnecessary and I don’t think impresses savvy diners anymore. Large plates and small tables don’t go together.(Bump) Maybe they can use them at Edgewood. Speaking of small tables, they are narrow and extra long here so you are seated too far from your dining partner. This restaurant is noisy so you need to raise your voice to have a conversation. Now it gets really weird. The seating is so tight that you are actually closer to the guy next to you than you are to the person you came with! With everyone raising their voices, plan on listening to your neighbor discuss the details of his recent prostate exam! This issue needs to be reexamined.(Bump) These owners have been very successful with the Edgewood Café and they also have a history of responding to the desires of their customers. I can’t wait to see how this place evolves over the coming months.

Great to see another restaurant in Havertown. My husband and I went to La Tez for dinner opening weekend. First the seating is a huge turn off to us. The tables were so close together that I felt I was having dinner with the women sitting next to me and not my husband. You know it’s a problem when your waitress’s backside touches the table when serving food. The place is extremely small inside but tables need to be re-arranged. The taste of the food was OK. We obviously ordered the wrong dishes. The«burritos» and I use that term very loosely were similar to the cheesesteak egg roll appetizer at the Cross Bar. The only difference is you get much more for a cheaper price. I wanted to try something different so I ordered the corn meal oysters for $ 16.00. What a huge disappointment. Essentially I received a huge oyster shell in half with loads of corn meal and very difficult to find extremely small oyster on each shell. Yes 2 small oysters. Needless to say it was a very disappointing experience. I hope as time goes by this restaurant improves.
