Mostly was there for drinks with a group after a 30th birthday — drinks were good, service was good. We ordered wings and fries and they were delicious. Very pleasant experience there — no complaints. Would certainly return if I’m back in the area.

Delicious locally-sourced food. The atmosphere was more casual than I was expecting. Great beer selection. Not pretentious. Worth the price.

This place is so amazing. I went here because it got my eyes right on it. The place was super nice looking and very very fancey. To me this is one if the places you would have to dress up for. I got the egg rills and my friend got the shrimp and grits. They were so good I wanted to order another one but I didn’t want to get full before desert. For desert I got the chocolate cake and let me tell you that was the best cake I have ever had in my whole life. This is a great place and I will come back as soon as possible.

What a great first experience. I came with a party of four, sat at a high Top by the window, which was lovely as it was snowing. We started with crab dip and wings– both were remarkable. I was delighted to see Prime Rib was on today’s menu, which was delicious, along with the carrots served with it. I had a glass of Petite Sirah, which really complimented the prime rib. Two of the people I was with got the southwestern wrap, which was okay but a bit dull in flavor and empty. Another guest got the falafel sandwich– which had great flavors. We ended the meal with Crème Brûlée, baked banana, and molten lava cake– all were very good! My only complaint would the service was a bit slow, that being said, many people were sat very quickly so it was understandable. Looking forward to another visit.

Great place for food and atmosphere! Great burgers and fries, and their jalepeno ketchup was a nice treat! Really good lobster bisque and crab soup!

The food was really good! The crab cake sandwich was flavorful and delicious and the burger was juicy. The fries were to die for! The sad part was the service was horrible! I’d love to give this place 4 stars, but our waitress left a lot to be desired. She barely acknowledged us and we had to flag her down several times so she would stop standing around talking and joking around just to help us. I’m from out of town on vacation so I won’t be able to give this place a second try. Sad, but first impressions are so important. I hope the waitress Ashley learns that soon.

We made a weekend trip up to Havre de Grace from DC for a wedding, and upon the recommendation of the owners of the nearby shop Glyph, had dinner here! We looked on Open Table(a Saturday night at 7pm) to see if we could grab a reservation, and it was booked, but we decided to walk over and try our luck anyway. The hostesses were super-nice, and found us a high-top table immediately, which suited us just fine. Our server, Alyssa M, came by promptly to take our drink orders, and suggested the night’s drink special, a hot mulled spiked cider, which my boyfriend decided to try, while I ordered a ginger cocktail. Both were delightful. We got the hummus for an appetizer, which was lovely, and quickly followed by our entrees — the house equivalent of a french dip sandwich for him, and chicken and dumplings for me. Both were fantastic — particularly the chicken and dumplings, which was so flavorful without being salty, and the chicken practically melted in your mouth. We were enjoying ourselves so much that we decided to go ahead and order dessert — a seasonal eggnog crème brûlée with sugared cranberries. Crème brûlée can be hit-or-miss at restaurants, but this one was lovely, with a plenty-crisp sugar top, and just the right amount of tart in the complementing cranberries. It was a relatively busy night, but Alyssa was just the right amount of attentive, and very helpful and knowledgable. And while Laurrapin might be on the pricier end for Havre de Grace, as a DC resident, I can tell you that if I got such a terrific meal with great serving and comfortable ambiance back in DC, at the prices we paid, I’d be a consistent regular.

After a spectacular sunset walk along the water, we took a pedestrian’s recommendation and ate at Laurrapin Grille. Everything was delicious and unique. Two thumbs up from Dennis and me.

We’ve been back here at least 2 more times since my last review and have loved every minute of it. This time, there was a band playing, and it was pretty cool. I’m not a crunchy, so the band didn’t make me wanna dance my pants off. But a good vibe overall. I’m still obsessed with the entrance to this place. It’s like you’re entering into a magic show. Makes me so excited! However, this last time was just okay. We got little corn bread muffs and they were cute and yummy. I again, got the harford county dip because it was so delicious the first time. I’m such a creature of habit. My husband again got the tasty burger. We both are creatures of habit, apparently. His burger came out piping hot, perfect and delectable… and mine was cold, mushy and gross. I bit into it and it was tough meat and gushy bread. Inedible. I sent it back. The waitress was very apologetic. So, my husband basically finished his burger sans 1 – 2 bites and here comes my dip. I had already finished the sweet potato fries. It was kinda crappy that I didn’t get to eat with my hubby. But on the other hand, I was glad they remade it. This version of the dip was hot and fresh, but not anything I would remember. It was tiny compared to the one I got the first time. The meat was almost nonexistent. Anyways, it didn’t leave a good taste in my mouth. Considering all other times we have been we’ve loved it. So, might have to leave this place be for now. :(

Great night out. The gravy with the mashed potatoes was amazing. The burger was outstanding. The turkey club was very tasty. Service and food quality was well above average. A great place and attention to detail and food quality will definitely have us coming back.

Visited last night for the 3rd time. First visit was about a year ago and everything was great. Second visit was a few months ago, and almost nothing went right. So this was the tie-breaker visit for future visits. Glad to say this was a successful meal. Tuesdays is prime rib special day. Can’t refuse a prime rib. Price was also very reasonable — something like $ 22 for a queen’s cut, $ 27 for a king’s cut. Obviously king’s cut, thank you. A good portion cooked perfectly medium rare(the only way to have prime rib, imo), served with mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. My friend wasn’t very hungry and wanted something light, so she got the stuffed acorn squash. She was very happy with her dish as well. The meat left on the squash was firm but tender. The risotto and vegetables were a hit. Two successful dishes. The only complaint — the warm bread basket /mini corn muffins. Both bread and muffins were very dry. Our server was also great. I’ll be back.

Nice place. Everything was good. My wife loved the Zucchini cakes and my son loved his bacon wrapped meatloaf. The burger was good with a good roll. Nice beer selection as well. Maybe a touch overpriced for the area.

Came in for dinner because it was listed on Unilocal as Vegan but there is no Vegan on menu and server stated they do not offer vegan. I inquired if chef could make vegan and was told he could do pasta and veggies, not really creative. Very sorry we came here and I am afraid to return.

Overpriced — figure about $ 70 per person for dinner n beer. Good was tasty, but I don’t think 5 pcs of scallops is worth $ 25. Beers are pricey too. Good spicey IPA. Live music was nice I would recommend hanging at the bar for drinks n music. Food menu is diminished and over priced.

Bumping up a star because of Dennis’ nice, professional response. And truth be told, we should have said something to our server so that they could address it right then and there. Restaurants can’t fix a «problem» if they’re not told about it. But unlike a lot of other folks who have no problem complaining or sending back food, we’re pretty non-confrontational people; so we didn’t want to say anything. Anyways, I’m glad they respond to feedback in a concerned, professional, and practical manner. If we’re ever through Havre de Grace again, we’ll stop in for another try.

Great food. Great atmosphere. great modern look and feel with a very nicely built bar. The restaurant is comfortable and trendy. All the staff were very nice and friendly. The food was well prepared and seasoned. Fried Mozzarella — nice and crisp. Had prosciutto, and basil inside with a very nice fresh mozzarella. Fried chicken — nicely seasoned and cooked perfectly. More interesting was the zucchini. It was fantastic! Care even went into seasoning and cooking the veggie! Great place. I look forward to going back and trying their cocktail menu! Drinks looked so good!

I guess this is the best restaurant in town but yet not the best I’ve ever saw. However, the tenderloin steaks are awesome, it’s perfectly cooked to perfection! In addition, you must try the falafel sandwich, delicious. The only thing that I was dissatisfied is the service, it seems they need more training in terms of speed and confidentiality.

I had high expectations from this restaurant but I was very disappointed. This review is not about the food but the customer service. We never actually got to order the food. We were hoping to order catering for a gathering. We had never ordered catering from here before. We order catering quite often and wanted to find a place to regularly do so. When calling to place the catering order the rude employee(apparently a woman designated to take catering orders) informed us that the food we needed for our event was not appropriate together and she would not take our order. She refused us service. I work in the business world and understand all about the product representing the company. However, we were simply trying to order food and were refused! We are putting together a Sunday brunch with continental breakfast foods and appetizers. This concept is apparently foreign to the catering worker at this place of business. We will not be ordering or eating here in the future. We will also be sure to tell as many of our friends who live in the area. There are many other places to go in Havre de Grace. Don’t waste your time here.

I love farm to table, but Laurrapin Grille was just okay for me. My boyfriend and I shared the BBQ pork sliders. They definitely lacked something. I don’t think I cared much for the buns. I ordered the fried oyster salad. Albeit good it was tiny and had like 4 leaves of lettuce with half a tomato.

I was very excited at the concept of this restaurant. Locally sourced meats, expertly prepared dishes. Honestly, it was just A OK. Drinks are expensive, though if you’re into interesting cocktails, the drink menu is up your alley. I heard a bartender talking about how hard it was to learn all the drinks due to the complexity. Some interesting beers, but very few on tap. Salad was nice and fresh, others around had pizza, bison burger, a crab cake(not even close to touching a decent cake, though I am biased) and there was a lamb shank down at the end of the table. They were not set up to seat the group of 12 that we had, so they set us up basically one table at time in the lounge area until enough people left that we could steal their tables one by one. There was life music, which was pleasant. They have murals painted on the walls(the emergency light is a SPACESHIP!!!) but be advised… one bathroom stall. I wasn’t blown away, and I doubt I’d go back. Probably a nice place to eat if you’re a local and don’t want to make the hour drive down to the city.
