I was greeted when I walked in. The store was clean and organized. I came in 30 minutes after opening so I’m sure that has a lot to do with it. I don’t shop for clothes here, so I can’t speak on clothing inventory. I just browse for kitchen and fitness goodies. I didn’t find anything I wanted, but my experience was pleasant.

Why is this place even open?! They don’t have anything good in here. The clothing selection is Wack and not fashionable. Every«department» in this store is sparsely merchandised. The shelves are almost empty. I don’t know how friendly or unfriendly the employees are because I’ve never bought anything or had to ask any questions. Go to Ross or Marshalls, or TJ Maxx instead.

I regret ever walking into this store and giving them my business. Here’s why: 1. The store reminds me of walmart-ghetto, dirty, and pathetic 2. EMPLOYEESARERUDE! If you’re bitter, please keep it to yourself or go buy a pillow and punch it. Im simply there to make a purchase, which keeps DDs in business and you with a job. 3. Oh wait, but it gets even better. The employee that rung me up was being rude and sarcastic to her manager… right in front of customers! 4. You don’t get a wonderful«hello.» You get a cattle call: «next!!» I understand that they MAY be trying to keep the line moving, but because you are a person and I’m a person you should make the effort. Try it: look into the mirror and practice saying hello. Now, «Hello! How are you doing today? «…Great!Next, say«Welcome to DDs. Did you find everything OK?» I’m human, and I understand your job may be too much for minimum wage, but please don’t behave like the robot that companies are trying to replace cashiers with. The human aspect of a cashier matters!!! In addition, smiling is contagious and I should not feel like I am inconvenience because you decided to walk into work upset about something that happened to you earlier in the day. 5. Keep the receipt. As a matter of fact start a paper recycling program, because I don’t lean over counters to tear receipts. In my eyes that’s very rude of a customer– Personal space matters to me. If if sounds like I’m livid, it’s because I am. I have never felt like such of piece of sh**t before after patronizing an establishment. I should have returned the items so that at least my purchase didn’t help them hit their numbers. Yes, thats how aweful the cashier that rung me up was. Now, I am sure there are some good people in there, but those rotten eggs make you all stink. The only nice individual was the security gaurd. He greeted me and was very polite. Maybe the cashiers can take a customer service lesson from him… There is no excuse for giving innocent customers an attitude, because you only get paid $ 9.00 an hour to deal with rude people. Rude people are everywhere, not just your place of employment. If you can’t handle it, then retail is not the place to be. I’m so over this… moving on to stores with excellent customer service. It’s a shame that DD’s is ROSS’ sister store, because Ross has always been good to me.

So I came here to buy a Christmas present for a gift exchange at work. First of all the store is a mess and it looks dirty. Ok it is christmas season so I would have probably looked passed that. But what really got to me was the horrible customer service. The cashier was extremely rude. She calls up the next customer before she is even done bagging my items. Then she has the nerve to tell me to grab my own receipt. What’s worse is that she did this exact same thing to the person who paid before me. I don’t expect excellent customer service at a retail store, but even I know horrible service when I see it. I will not be coming back to this DDs Discount or to any other after this experience. Just go to Ross or some other similar discount store instead.
