Denny’s

This will probably be my new favorite Denny’s … And it’s down the street from where I live! My husband and I had a night out without the kids and felt like nachos and hot wings. I suggested Denny’s and we stopped at the one on 132^nd and Hawthorne. Big mistake!!! It wasn’t full but they were either understaffed or just slow! The party in front of us waited 15 minutes to be seated. The gentleman complained and the hostess didn’t seem to care. She even told them that they would have to wait until the server, who was busy, get to them. That’s when I decide it was time to go.
We drove by and my husband said there’s one in Rosecrans, let’s see if it’s busy. So glad we did! Several tables were taken but as soon as we opened the door we were greeted by the manager who sat is right away. Within 5 min we had drinks and we’re ordering our food. I ordered coffee and she noticed I was looking for more sugar and didn’t even wait for me to ask. She just brought it over. That’s what I call good service!
The food was well cooked and hit our cravings. We were out of her in under an hour and happy cause it was late and we had to go to work the next day.
All in all… Very good experience. I totally recommend this Denny’s. Avoid the one on 132!!!

The worst expience ever, me and my family came here for breakfast we waited over an 1hour to get our food by time it came out it looked bad low quality cooking burnt toast over cooked eggs chewy steak… server never gave us sauce of any kind we had to grab it from other tables and worst part is that the restaurant was not even packed smh 60.00 dollars gone to waste

The customer service here is awful. You wait when it’s busy and you wait when it’s not. I had to leave when it was empty one time because no one was seating my family and I.

I have visited this Denny’s before and had no problem. But tonight on 3.24.2016 at around 11p.m. we walked in and we waited around 5 min just to be seated and during that time the waitresses saw us standing there and didn’t bother to at least greet us. When we did get greeted she said, «how many?» Really? At least goodnight how are you. We went to sit down and she just left us sitting there. She didn’t tell us if she was out server or if anyone was coming at all. Completely disappointed. After about 2 min we just decided to get up and leave. We even saw that they had a line and the Denny’s was almost empty. Ridiculous. There is a much better Denny’s down the street on Aviation Street.

Service. Horrible. First asked for over easy eggs got. Scrambled then took 15 mins to fix that. Had to beg for coffee refill. Was almost invisible to them. Food was good service sucked will not be coming back here 3÷21÷16 10pm restaurant manger and waitress lazy and slow !!!

Talk about a first impression. This place has horrible, horrible service. We walked in with a big group and it took a while to get seated. Then when we got seated by the manager the first thing he said to us was to do him a favor and watch our children. They weren’t even loud. All they did was sit down. So we didn’t like his service and disrespectfulness so we got up and left.

If I could I would leave ZERO STARS! Service is horrible. Tried to charge me for items I didn’t order. Took at least 20 minutes to get my daughters milk. 5 minutes to get the bill. Daughters pizza was ICE COLD!!! I could understand if they were busy but there were maybe 3 – 4 other tables. Never once did they check to make sure everything was okay or ask if we needed a refill on our drinks. I WILL NOT RETURN HERE!!!

Denny’s has never done me wrong… until I visited this one.
CUSTOMER SERVICE
When we first arrive the hostess working on 1÷20÷16 at around 9PM (didn’t catch her name) greeted us with some eye rolling and a resting bit** face. We came with a big group and she basically told us that because they only had 2 servers, they couldn’t accommodate us. The manager then comes up and tells us otherwise, BUT, then says, «but next time, call us to see if we can accommodate you first». Seriously, buddy, you’re Denny’s — not Morton’s Steak House.
We finally get seated and our waiter is basically the manager. He was fine. He made conversation, cracked a few jokes, etc.
It took forever to get our food, and to top it off, one part of our group got their food about 20 minutes earlier than the rest of us. I ordered a salad — a FREAKIN’ SALAD, and mine was the ABSOLUTE last thing to come out… sloppily put together, and the chef was even nice enough to include a HAIR. Effin’ disgusting.
When I told the manager there was a hair in my food, he offered ZERO APOLOGIES. He smirked and said «I’ll get you a new one» and I said «no, that’s ok. I lost my appetite.» He answered back with «are you sure?» and then walked away. Want to hear the KICKER??? He even had the audacity to LEAVE THE SALAD ON OUR CHECK!!! Are you psycho, buddy???
FOOD
Although there were no complaints about the actual taste of the food, all of our orders came out wrong. I asked for balsamic, they gave me italian. My aunt got french toast and it was absolutely BURNT. My sister ordered an appetizer platter and the onion rings were BURNT and all stuck together. Not to mention the hair in my food.
OVERALL
I won’t be going back to this Denny’s, and I suggest you don’t either. The servers are lazy, the hostess is a bi***, and the manager has no business being one!

The food was good but their service sucks. Every time I need it something I had to reach out to the server. We reached out to a asian sever name Eric since he was around but because he wasn’t our server he refuse to help. How rude! Sadly is not the first time I have a bad experience here but I though to give it another try. I got my bill without the server asking if everything was ok or need it something else. Improve your severs please

Service sucks. We ordered moons over my hammy and just a regular grand slam. Waited 30. mins and our food is still not there… thing is, it’s okay if they are busy or short staff. but they’re not… there’s only 3 tables. 3 servers and a manager on the floor. So no, they are not busy. worse part is that our server was giving us attitude. she didn’t even bother to ask us for coffee refill or remind us about our food. it seems like we don’t exist. we ended up just walking out. we told the manager that were going to pay for the purse ink bit at least he has the decency not to charge us for the coffee. Anyways never coming back to this place. ever!

We went last night for a late dinner after trick or treating. I think, my family and I were «The Invisible Family» because we were there for about 30 minutes, waiting for a table and no one notice us. But after us, two more groups arrived and the two people that were hosting ask them «how many» and gived them a table.
Never going back again, never. I feel they discriminated us. I mean, even if we are Hispanics we have americans dollars and them could buy food everywhere right?

The service was rude and slow considering that there’s no one here and the food looks disgusting

We called for pick up and each ordered omelette which included toast. We were so hungry that we headed home as soon as we got the order and come to find out we were given burnt toast! Not edible burnt toast! So frustrating. No wonder it was given tied tightly.

I love Denny’s! Trust me when I say I love Denny’s but this Denny’s is the worst.
Marina was our hostess and was just rude.
It took 10 minutes to bring water, coffee, and orange soda
My cousin ordered the hamburger which came with a soggy bottom bun and limped, uncooked fries. We asked Marina to replace the buns and it took her 5 minutes to literally come back with two sesame seed top buns on the burger and LESS limped, uncooked fries.
She later came back and asked if everything was okay, we told her about the burger and how my cousin wasn’t interested. In mid sentence, Marina takes the burger and walks off. No apology, no do you want to replace it with anything.
Just rude. Welp.
But polite it brings the bill.

Love the food especially how they serve with a smile early in the morning, very accomodating and helpful.

The good news: the waiter Rodrigo did a great job with our large party.
Now for the bad: the food is just blah and for a $ 10 burger; it lacks severely; not even up to the in-​n-​out quality within 1 mile range. Drop these down to $ 5; as the portion size for all our party was small… were talking 12 people with all sorts of things ordered.
Restroom smelled of urine and the floor was wet due to a leaking pipe
Manger asked our church group to move from in front of the place after eating; so much for us thinking we were freeing up tables for more customers after us.
Rodrigo: get out of dodge

I came here specifically for the buffalo wings. I remember their sauce being really good! I know that not a lot of Denny’s serve the wings anymore so when i was near a Denny’s I decided to pop in and ask. Sure enough they had some! That is where my excitement disappeared. The wings were shriveled and small and while the sauce was still good, it still left me hungry and disappointed. and they were almost $ 10 for 8 wings! I couldn’t believe it. Never again…

The food is okay, the breakfast is good lunch is okay and I don’t really like dinner here.
At all times regardless of how empty or full it is the food takes a while to come out. Sunday mornings are the worst though, waits are long and the servers get somewhat overwhelmed so the service isn’t that great.
The place isn’t as clean as it should be, the salts, pepper and hot sauce containers are dirty and the utensils looked old and one of our spoons was dirty.

SOOOOO SLOOOOOOOW!
Took at least 30 minutes to get our food.
We were 2 minutes away from leaving.
She even asked if we wanted something first — so we said yes, the salad.
Salad came 30+ min later and then the rest of the food immediately after. Everything else was cold and not great tasting.
It wasn’t even busy — they are just slow as hell.
So unless you want to waste 1 – 2 hours here, go somewhere else.

I give this Denny’s 4 stars because well it’s still Denny’s. Considering it’s a chain breakfast/​lunch/​dinner diner joint.
However, this is definitely one of the cleanest and freshest Denny’s we’ve EVER been to and it’s in Hawthorne!
Normally we go to the one off of El Segundo blvd but the service here and the food is extremely fresh and they actually pay attention to your order. Furthermore, the service is quite amazing for a Denny’s!
Our server was Eric and he was EXTREMELY friendly, exact with our orders, and a pleasure to deal with.
