I do not trust Dr. Shieh’s opinions. She was my general practitioner for years, and I only saw her while sick. One visit while I came in for flu medicine she prescribed me blood pressure medication at 21. I had the flu and was visiting the doctor(a stressful experience) so of course my blood pressure looked high. I trusted her professional opinion and went on them for 6 months before realizing that there was no need for them and experiencing palpitations as a side effect. I regret taking them as I am now paranoid about my heart rate even though it tests normal. She also made me get blood tests every 6 months to renew my birth control, which is completely unnecessary and my Gyno does not require since I’ve switched doctors. She seems like a sorority girl and I am glad I no longer need to rely on her for my medical care. My father was also seeing her and was also displeased with her care and has since switched doctors.
