Best Kung-Pao I’ve ever had! Just learned it burned down. However, I just spoke to the owner and they are opening a new location in Imperial and Ramona in Inglewood and he says it will be open in August. I can’t wait for August to get here!

This is probably one of the best places to have ever graced the city of hawthorne. Amazing asian food and excellent customer service. Unfortunately the original location burned down along with other business. I spoke with the owner and he confirmed that little asia would be back in a couple of months at imperial and romona in the city of hawthorne. So be patient because they are making a comeback.

Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, Little Asia shall once again grace us with its presence. That’s right! Very soon Little Asia will be back in business! After reading some comments from other Unilocalers that it would be returning soon, I was overjoyed. It was almost too good to be true. I decided to investigate. I called the new number that the old number was changed to and ended up speaking to Raymond Wong, the owner. After a short & awkward introduction, Raymond did confirm that Little Asia would be back but it would probably be another 5 – 6 months before the doors were open for business. While waiting another 6 months for their delicious food is just as aggravating as waiting for Christmas morning, I’m happy to hear that construction is underway(or shall be soon!) For those of you that love Little Asia as much as me, I hope this news excites you. Big thanks to Unilocalers«5 D» and«Johnetta M.» for tipping me off about the return of the South Bay’s best Chinese restaurant!

Yes, Little Asia is no more. The place burned down along with the other businesses located in the same structure. However — let me eulogize this fine establishment. Firstly, I always ordered delivery, never dined in… we had tried just about every dish they offer over the years, and not one of them was done poorly. There were definitely stand-out dishes, such as the beef double pan fried noodles, the honey walnut shrimp, shrimp in two flavors, the chicken chow fun noodles, the combo egg foo yung. We always ordered the crab-cream cheese wontons, dipped in the sweet and sour sauce they were just sinfully delicious. We treated ourselves to a delivery dinner whenever we could, about once a month or so. Always tipped the driver well. We haven’t had any Chinese food since this place shut down due to the fire. We are experiencing massive withdrawal symptoms especially for the hot and sour soup which was a mainstay of our orders. We wish so much that Little Asia return to the community, their absence has left a vacuum that cannot be filled with other mediocre local Chinese places that are lacking in one way or another. Bring back Little Asia! We need you! If anyone knows if the owners are planning to set up again somewhere, please contact me, as I am dying to give them my patronage again.

Sadly, this place is no longer open — they had awesome noodles and orange chicken — all at great prices. Sad that they’re no longer with us.

I’m so sad bc I’m seriously watching this restaurant burn to the ground on the news! I can see the flames from my porch so sad, this was my favorite new Chinese food place. Everything was so good and the prices were great! I really hope they reopen but the lunch specials man! Anxious to see what happens.

Singapore curry pasta rice was so good. It had all meats and shrimp, bell peppers, onions, cabbage and eggs. The heat from the curry turmeric powder they use. It was delicious! I recommend this one! The Kung pao chicken was okay. The sauce was nicely seasoned and the garlic in it was good. Walnut shrimp had lots of walnuts and crispy shrimp. The steamed broccoli was steamed perfectly. I wish there was a bit more sauce though! Portions were big. Had a lot to take home. If the floors weren’t as trashed, I would have given them a better rating! There were all kinds of things on the floor…

I’m really sorry to hear about other Unilocalers bad experiences here but I ordered delivery on this rainy day today and the food was good as hell. The guy the answered the phone was very pleasant and thorough when he took my order. It took 30 mins to deliver and I was not disappointed. They gave me all I ordered, spicy pork chops, combination chow mein, crab wontons and the spicy mustard I asked for which lots of places forget when I ask for it. The food was piping hot when it got here and was absolutely delicious and they weren’t at all skimpy on the portion. I’ll most definitely be ordering there again.

Love the Kung Pao chicken with Rice. Ask for extra plate to mix them together. They start you with a green tea and a soup. Great local south bay spot. parking on street or private lot in the back.

Pretty good Chinese food! Came here on a Sunday night as we thought it was a quick order Chinese food place like a Panda Express come to find out it’s a sit down restaurant. We did a to go order right inside the restaurant. The waiters were friendly and we received or our food quickly. We ordered 4 large plates of Orange chicken, kung pow beef, Sweet and Sour chicken and a large order of fried rice all to share with four people. Wow, the sweet and sour chicken was absolutely my favorite! We ordered the chicken friend rice but next time I am going to order regular friend rice wasn’t a huge fan of the chicken on the rice from here! The food was more than enough to split with 4 people, we had so much left over! I would def stop by again and pick up some sweet and sour chicken! :)

First off let me start by saying, i use to come here all the time with my friends. its been about a year and yesterday i decided i wanted some won ton soup. i showed up through the back way, two cooks were out side smoking, when i said hello i didn’t get a response. second while ordering the lady was very very nice, she pointed me in the direction to the bathroom. Bathroom smelled like Piss!!! straight up, i couldn’t even open the door all the way without smelling it. i decided to skip the bathroom. while i waited for my food in their hallway the two cooks out side came back in and when right to work, passing the bathroom too. unless they have a sink where they washed their hands inside the kitchen, that grossed me out. one of the waiters had a bad flemy cough, and every time he coughed he failed to cover his mouth. at this point i wanted to cancel my order and run, my stomach was so upset. but it was already 9 and i couldn’t think of another place close that i could go to. once i got my food i ran out of there and made it home. now here is the nastiest part… when i got home and i opened my bag of food, they were nice enough to give me a small package of fried won tons. On the package was a huge greenish bloody BOOGER!!! I just about threw up right there. i ended up throwing everything away and not eating last night. safe to say I’ll never ever be back there again.

My best friend will tell you that this is our go-to spot. Is it a fancy place? no great staff? no location? no drinks, atmosphere, speciality dish? no, no, and no. Little Asia is none of these things, it simply is cheap chinese food done the right way. Sometimes when I spend weeks going from salad to salad, I feel like my system needs a jumpstart in order for me to feel alive. And there is no better place than this wonderful establishment. Yes, when you park in the tiny parking lot in the back and walk in, you might feel as if you are walking into a subpar place in chinatown. But this place is so much more than the ugly walls, mismatched silverware, or bad tea. It is a establishment where Americanized chinese cuisine is still respected. Nowhere else will their orange chicken taste as delicious and sweet tangy, like here. Their noodles perfectly cooked and shiny from that delicious sauce that will leave your lips moisturized. I specially love eating here on the days when I catch some of the staff taking their break agains the table set in the hallway, all eating the same delicious food they cook for us. Good old chinese food done right, that is what you will get from this place, you can eat it here and get tea and soup or you can take it home and enjoy it in solidarity in order to have a moment of peace after your carb overload, so worth it. I would run a thousand miles if only to burn the calories in the heavenly dishes served in this culinary monument. My hat off to the staff and chefs, they have earned my business for as long as they are in business.

Lunch on Thursdays is the way we do it at work and my hungry friend picked the place to dine since I drove. At first she was so hungry, we stopped at the Denny’s in El Segundo, but(thankfully) it was closed for maintenance so we hopped back into my SUV and drove over the Little Asia Chinese Restaurant. From the front, it almost looks as though it’s out of business. The sidewalk is dead except for the people who catch the bus at the corner of El Segundo and Hawthorne. You can enter through the back where the public parking is and walk through to get to the dining room. They are ‘to the point’ here and you get exactly what you pay for **good tasting food at a decent price** and I like that. The menu items are traditional and the lunch specials(which include hot tea, entrée, rice, cup of soup and a wanton) are $ 5.50. I had the chicken mushroom and my friend has the Kung Pao Chicken. Even though she enjoys the spicy heat, her dish was hot enough for her to relocate the chili pods to the edge of the plate. We were both happy and full when done. So the summary for this place is: run down on the outside and the interior has seen better days, but they know their stuff when it comes to the Chinese food. YES!

Dirt cheap lunch specials. There are ones for $ 4.95 and $ 5.95. I got the Chicken and Mushroom lunch special. It came with salad, 1 wonton, and soup. The soup was okay. The wonton was different. I’m used to the ones with meat in it. I think this one had cheese. The salad was… 1 star. It wasn’t really a salad. More like iceberg lettuce with some dressing. The chicken and mushroom with rice is good. You can either get it with white rice or fried rice. The sauce was yummy. I liked mixing the sauce with the rice. The chicken, though wasn’t really hard. or firm. It was more mushy chicken. I dunno *shrugs* Still it was tasty and delicious. I’d probably be back. There is a huge parking lot behind the restaurant with plenty of parking spaces. The restaurant itself is a little small. there are probably 10 – 12 tables/booths.
