Dirty bathroom, they leave the floor really wet like they pour water thinking that’s clean, which it is not and the floor feels sticky. And they don’t have changing table you can be surprise how many families with kids keeping coming and needing table changing for babies! Some foods are not cook enough. And some foods had no label of what kind food they serve on the buffet. At near closing time they cleaning up with bleach smell while people are still eating you can smell it. I love sushi but I have to be careful with raw seafood because I can eat limit of the seafood. There’s no label of what kind of sushi and they look all the same on 4 or 5 plates but only adding fish or cream cheese.

So disappointed and sad I’m actually giving this place one star only! This place has always been a 10 star to me, until yesterday. When I woke up yesterday I had a big craving for Chinese food, since my son had been asking me to please take him to this buffet for a while now, I decided I’d take my kids after work. I had invited my mom as well but being that after 3p.m. they charge more, she of course declined lol. I was aware I’d be paying extra but didn’t mind at all knowing it had always been worth it. Worst $ 50 I’ve ever spent! Ugh so pissed I spent that much on crappy, greasy, stale, nasty food. While at work I was looking at the reviews from Unilocal and was surprised of all the negative reviews, even thought I’d review them 5 stars, so glad I waited. It should have occurred to me as soon as I saw how the place was so empty compared to how it used to be, that this place was now a dump! For paying extra there wasn’t much food to pick from. They didn’t even have the ribs like they used too. My son said the breaded shrimp and chicken on a stick tasted funky. The white rice was almost empty but no one ever replaced it, so the little I got was stale. Their beef broccoli looked dry af, they’re orange chicken or sweet chicken whatever it’s called was soggy af. And my daughter was disappointed there was very few ice cream to choose from. I’d say the only good thing was the chow mein and seasoned shrimp, according to my son. I was so pissed when I saw how much I’d pay, should have stayed home and ate frijoles! Ugh lol. Waitress didn’t even wait for us to get our«desserts» to give us the bill. Like dang girl it’s not like you have people lined up to get in lol. So for the first time ever, I didn’t tip squash! Not planning on coming back any time soon! O yea the pizza looked like it had been soaked for a while in grease, broke my heart! :(lol

This place was packed so friend suggested we try it out, I was starving, in we went. I didn’t like the looks of it right off but I held my tongue because I can be terribly harsher than most. When we were finally sitting I couldn’t believe I was going through with this, it was filthy. why all the people I pondered? The service sucked, my fork was crusty, food was luke warm, sushi was old and to top it off my sprite tasted like soap. Friend finally said something about it and that was my que to spit my venom. I asked staff if they thought we were going to pay for the dog food that they claimed to be food. Then I told them quite simply that it wasn’t happening. Management got loud I guess because I hadn’t raised my voice, but when I did things changed very quickly. We paid for the beverages and that was that.(I almost objected to that) I will never, neverever, ever return and I would advise anyone else who enjoys Asian cuisine to run/drive pass this location real fast, cause this place is not suitable for human consumption, period! If I wasn’t made to rate this hell-hole, that star would have remained colorless.

I’ve been to this place a few times and it probably was one of my first asian buffet places I tried. Back then thought this place was alright but I was probably overwhelmed with food choices that it confused my brain! Since then I’ve tried other buffets… I went back again recently and I can now give a honest review. This place is the second worst buffet place I’ve been to, with Mizuumi being the worst. Customer service is average at best but what do you expect from a buffet. There was a good selection of food, but I noticed not all of them had good presentation or taste/quality. I sampled a fair share of what they had and nothing stood out from my memory. I never got sick from this here but it’s a step down from the others. The food is edible but there are better choices out there. The salad bar area I stayed clear from as it didn’t look that fresh. The ice cream area was DISGUSTING with the ice cream in the tubs being in various states of melted sludge! Hey maybe they have addressed that but I doubt it as it was like that everytime I went. The overall interior was«Ok» but not a warm feeling as I was dining. My rating is a 1.5 but it was rounded up to a 2. This place is NOT better than World Gourmet. I would not come back here unless they improved A LOT.

if you have no self respect… go here. if you like the smell of pee in the parking lot… go here. if you really like a sticky floor… go here. if you like a barf inducing bathroom… go here if you like unbelievably salty food… go here. if you like food that has been fried to oblivion… go here. if you love eating with quasi ghetto people… go here. if you are craving old old old food… go here if you love food that you can’t identify… go here if you don’t mind a dirty food area… go here if you love hair in your food… go here if you like food that has been soaked in so many chemicals it has lost all sort of it’s identity and age because it used to be old and no longer is, and it used to be a piece of chicken and now it’s not… go here. if you go here… don’t blame me or any other person that has given this place one star… just make sure you have your medical card on you. and remember kaiser is just down on hesperian and st rose hospital is near by too… y o u h a v e b e e n w a r n e d.

Why? Why would I go here when I knew it would be gross? And it was. Bland and yucky food. Cheapo meat. The Chinese food was baaaaaaad. The American food was greasy and flavorless. The Japanese food – well, I couldn’t bring myself to eat it after the nastiness of everything else. Besides, «all you can eat sushi» should be a warning to you all by itself. The waitress was very nice, though. Bottom line: The place is dirty. The food is icky. Don’t do it.

This place does suck. Ugly workers and unpleasant floors. Before they got their blinds for the windows, everyone had a tough time eating while the sunset, for the sun would shine through and make it virtually impossible to see the person seated across from you. The only thing I enjoyed eating here(when I went) were the french fries. Super super salty. MMmm fab. And I kind of liked the super melted ice cream. Tasted alright, although it was pretty unsanitary. One time when I was dining here with my family, there was a table next to us that claimed there was a fly in their food and they stormed off. I don’t think they were lying just to get a free meal. They only were seated for less than 5 minutes after getting their food, and the places does seem like the type of place that would have flies in their food. Mmmdelicious.

Yes the food isn’t that great, yes the service is near-nonexistent and yes this place seems a bit dirty. However you go to buffet for the wide variety amount of food for all you can eat for one low price. If you were looking for a 5 star restaurant I have some great selections for you. This buffet is in the middle range of buffets, there are better one and there are worse. I really enjoy the selections of cooked vegetables here, it helps make me feel better for my overindulgence of meat products. This is a nice place to eat if your in the area or if you want a quick good meal.

This is a place I wish I could give a 3.5 to. But giving them the boost because I think they need it and deserve it. First off the place is a dump. It’s greasy… everywhere. Greasy on the floor. Greasy on the tables. Greasy in the bathroom. It’s not going to win any sanitation awards that’s for sure. It would barely get a C rating in terms of health code regulations. But if C rated restaurants in LA have taught me anything, it’s that their food is usually pretty damn good. And indeed, this food was pretty damn good. Your usual Chinese Buffet fare of crab legs, various delicious farm animals cooked in a variety of ways, but it was cooked above par to most places I would say. Fried rice was good, noodles were good. The Mongolian BBQ was nice. I really have to give kudos to their shrimp. This was split shrimp with a little dollop of mayo /hollandaise. Scraped off the mayo, but the shrimp underneath was plump and juicy and perfectly cooked. I had quite a few of these when I was there. And as said they did have a huge selection of ice cream, not your usually chocolate /vanilla soft serve. Bubblegum, cookies n cream, orange cream. all good stuff. And the wait staff was pretty awesome as well. Drink on right on time. Dirty plates promptly cleared. I think if the places cleaned up a bit and used a few hundreds gallons of bleach, it would turn out nice.

Thanks to this spot, I probably won’t ever eat anything with Hollandaise sauce again… Even Eggs Benedict… They put that stuff on everything! The staff is horrible at stocking the food, and the quality is slightly sub par. I’m stupid for having stuffed my belly with 3 plates of their mess. Props for the Ice cream selection though!

Umm… It was Fourth of July 2008 and Kahn’s in Castro Valley is gone… we were desperate for some all you can eat food for 7 people. We came in stomachs empty and ready to consume vasts amounts of food like folks at Nathan’s on the Fourth of July. As we walked to our table with our all-you-can-eat gluttonous thoughts, our shoes and sandals screamed like velcro peeling over and over with every step we took across the sticky floor. It didnt matter! We were hungry! The real deal: –Super sticky floor –The floor in the bathroom was wet… really wet… gross! –A «clean» bowl I picked up… was not clean… in fact there was crusty food stuck to it still. –Is sushi supposed to be frozen? Because I saw the guy cutting up what I thought was frozen salmon. –Food was nothing spectacular but we ate at least 3 plates(out of hunger?) –You have to refill your own drink… because they never came back to refill it for us –We ate tons and didnt get sick… so they survived with a single star. Eat here if you must, but you have been told!

Ah, the Hayward China Buffet… how shall I say this? The food there is not so good, in fact it’s bad. It may be hazardous to most human beings. I couldn’t in good conscience feed scraps from this establishment to a stray animal in fear of the possible euthanasia that may ensue. While this is obviously a dramatization, it really isn’t all that far off. The cross contamination and poor food preparation at the AA China Buffet knows no bounds, it is visibly some of the worst looking food you may ever see and it tastes about as good as it looks,(or worse). The small amount of service you receive will almost undoubtedly be as bad as the food. The greeters are rude and quick to seat you by any means necessary. No one will address your concerns about dirty silverware or the food being served,(and before you get the wrong impression I assure you I am always polite everywhere I go). It has half of the ambiance of the original Lyons that it once was so many years ago and yet somehow there are usually a lot of people there. Please try anywhere else, I recommend you drive down mission heading north past Bayfair and drop into the New China Buffet. It’s still a buffet and the food is average, but will not hurt you. Trust me, spare yourself the horror that is AA China Buffet, it will haunt you for years after your visit. CHAD

Worst service and food ever. These Chinese people are from another world. I ate here awhile back and they gave me the worst experience ever. They didnt seat me and my friends where we wanted. And at the end when the bill came we didnt feel a tip was right. So this waiter comes over and throws the little bill platter on our table and says«No tip for the table?» with his broken english. I didnt get his name but i think his name tag said(Yong Ho). So once he did that me and my friends flipped. We just started to throw all the dishes and napkins and everything on the table everywhere. I poured all the nasty drinks and teas over the tables and pulled the sheet from the table and left it on the ground. These people should be out of business already. They should be ashame to be even called chinese food. I didnt taste enough MSG at all. Weak sauce. Negative 10 Stars for China AA Buffet(What the heck does the Two A’s Stand for) Abosolutly Awwfull i think

We went here when it first opened and a couple of times more. We’ve stopped going there because the place is a pig sty. The only place seems they keep clean is the food service area. The floor is nasty and sticky at the seating area. The place is kept in dark colors to hide the dirt. Where the staff stands there is an open garbage can where sometimes you see flies buzzing around. Sometimes the garbage is spilt over to the floor and it’s about 3 feet from some tables. I’ve seen waiters bring drinks to the table spilling over onto the floor. Warning if you go to a chinese buffet and you see huge jars of Tapatio hot sauce bigger than sauce sauce… ya might want to go eat somewhere else.

When this place opened in 2004 my mom kinda liked the place. I was never a fan of Asian buffets, because they are incredibly difficult to pull off. One day my mom watched the news and saw that this very place was found to be in violation of some health codes. While I don’t fully believe her(she may have been mistaken), I also don’t think it’s entirely impossible. The place isn’t exactly the cleanest and when you walk out of there after a meal you don’t feel good. Needless to say, my mom stopped wanting to go there, and I was right. As I said before, I dislike Asian buffets, but if you really must go to one, there are two exceptions. Todai at Stoneridge Mall in Pleasanton is decent, although overpriced, but their dessert and seafood sections make up for it. Go there with a friend on your birthday and you can eat for free! The other exception is Hokkaido in Foster City/San Mateo. Food is decent but the atmosphere is great, lunch prices are cheap, and the place is very clean. I see no reason for anyone to go to China AA Buffet. Hayward in general isn’t exactly a major culinary destination, but there are other places within city limits that are ten times better than this place.
