My mother needed a will for her new husband. Called Jonathan and set up appointment. Very fast, efficient and affordable.

Jonathan did an excellent job of making my divorce as smooth as possible. I thought I was headed for a lengthy battle but he managed to make it quite the opposite. Well worth the time and I can’t recommend him highly enough.

Divorces are meant to be stressful. And I was plenty stressed when I walked into Jonathan’s office last year — wasn’t sure what to expect. I am without hesitation recommending Attorney Jonathan Lyvere to anyone who is in a family law situation and in need of help, focus, and a solution. I sought the counsel of Jonathan based on previous Unilocal reviews, for help with a divorce situation that had been lingering over my head for months. Progress and resolution were my goals and Jonathan made them both possible. Family legal matters are never fun, and usually contentious and difficult to deal with. Jonathan was clear, focused, knowledgeable, and diligent in helping to bring the divorce to completion, and his legal fees are much lower than what most Family Law Practices charge.

After a brief Unilocal search, Jonathan was an easy choice. I contacted him in mid Feb. 2015.
I asked him to represent me in a mediated divorce that was started in Sept. 2014 and since gone bad. He agreed.
There were some flagrant improprieties in regards to the dispersement of the proceeds from the sale of our family home by the mediator.
Jonathan was very forthright explaining the best and worst case scenarios. Although the dollar amount was considerable, I agreed with Jonathan to move forward on other issues that were more important to me.
As Jonathan began to introduce himself to opposing counsel (who was the mediator and had listed herself as my wife’s attorney back in Sept.) he forwarded all correspondence to me. I like that. Some were quite entertaining as Jonathan explained to opposing counsel the correct order and content of the paperwork she had been filing since Sept.
Opposing counsel also had trouble understanding why Jonathan even entered our case at all.
Jonathan didn’t seem interested in opposing counsel’s problems and continued to reassure her that he is here, on my behalf, to make sure the balance of our agreement is executed correctly.
I had the opportunity to suggest to my wife, that her attorney pay close attention to Jonathan when he’s talking as she may learn something. Oh that was fun!
Jonathan was the catalyst that moved things forward, kept opposing counsel in check, and provided me with emails that would often make me smile.
Our final paperwork has been signed and stamped, by the court, and I am very happy with the outcome. It was at this time Jonathan informed me our case is closed and promptly refunded the balance of my retainer.

I came to Jonathan Lyvere with a very odd and complicated family law situation that reached into parts of both international law and probate. Words cannot explain how much Jonathan has helped me and my family during an extremely stressful period of time. We had a tenant who, among other things, had not paid her rent for about a year. We were put in a tight spot because we needed that rental income but we just could not do anything because she had declared bankruptcy.
Jonathan was there every step of the way to help us out. First, he had our tenant’s bankruptcy removed from the federal court to a regular court. He was then able to obtain an eviction notice and that was where I thought it ended. Instead, Jonathan came back to us to tell us about the possibility of getting the rental money we were owed for the year our tenant did not pay us. In the end, he was able to get money taken out of our former tenant’s paycheck each month until it covered the cost of the rent.
