Although I continue to give this place a chance, I’d rather go to Oakland. 1. Personal conversations come before the guests. 2. Personal conversations are heard throughout the store, from the break room area, and certainly are full of profanities. 3. Boxes clutter the tiny walkways. Today there were 4 boxes each with 4 or 5 small dye boxes inside. Guarantee to be ignored as you stand directly in front of the sales clerks who continue personal conversations and treat you as if you’re interrupting them. Management get a clue and start fresh. Better yet, take a class or two yourself on what customer service means.

I should have known from the other reviews that this place would not be that great, but I needed stuff from Sally’s and this location was the closest one to me. I was looking for hair dye and it was frustrating how some of their products were either out of stock or missing the hair color sample. When I was ready to pay, the lady by the cash register just stared at me so I had to tell her I was ready to pay. She then straight up tells me that she was about to go on her lunch break. There were only 2 people working there and the other person was busy helping a customer. I didn’t even know how to respond, was I supposed to wait until the other person was finished helping the customer so that I don’t have to interrupt your lunch break?

Sally Beauty is somewhat reasonable depending on sales or what you are looking for. Sale starts at the beginning to the end of each month. It’s open to the public so everyone is welcome to shop. You don’t need a Beauty license to shop here.

Sally’s get waaay better than this particular location. Rude, unprofessional employees who think it’s ok to open after posted times and thinks it’s ok to leave the front area unattended for a long time. Most of the employees are just unacceptable, especially the one with all the tattoos(ewww on a female). Very small location. I come here for dye. Most of the time the samples of colored hair isn’t right above the according color. A lot of times they are out of stock. Needs a lot of improvement.

This store was messy. Boxes all over the place, narrow aisles and missing product. The employees weren’t rude but not very friendly either.

I hate this place, but I love nail polish and this place has an okay selection. I keep hoping that they’ll restock on polish or increase their selection, but it’s not very often :( You can guarantee terrible service at Sally’s every time. Really, it’s almost kind of funny. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten a knowledgeable answer when I’ve asked a question about a certain product. I’ve just gotten to the point where I go ahead and Google the product on my phone or computer beforehand.

2.5 stars huh? Ouch. Although, I suppose, everyone’s trying to buy hair color and apparently nobody over there knows their stuff, every time I drop by, it is mostly either to A. stare at all the pretty shades of nail polish or B. stare at waxing supplies Every time I have stopped by, I have consistently been asked if I need help, never felt pressured or stalked because they thought I would steal, and have been recommended products that indeed, delivered. Specifically, B&C Skin Tight DOES work wonders for razor bumps and ingrown hairs of all kinds, guy OR girl! As for the nail polish, I’ve walked away feeling like I’ve gotten good deals thanks, in addition, to my Sally Beauty rewards card.

Convenient beauty supply in convenient area. Have always had pleasant helpful cashiers/sales people, WAAAAY nicer than Bayfair location. While they may not have a huge inventory and their staff may not be trained cosmologists with expert advice, overall experience is good an I would recommend.

I came here because my friend wanted to dye her hair. The store had an overwhelming chemical stench that burned my nostrils. The store is small and cramped and they were restocking that day so the aisles were semi blocked with boxes. The staff was friendly and helpful. Overall I would not recommend going to this place because of the smell and size of this location.

Always have a pleasant experience here. What I don’t like is the wella toners are constantly out of stock. CONSTANTLY. Theres not many Blondie’s(that I come in contact with) in my area. This area. So where did all the blond hair color toners go? I want to know! Staff is genuinely helpful, but this is a stretch from downtown Hayward to go to a beauty store. Unfortunately, I don’t think there is a Sally’s closer.

I come here for nail polish, eyelashes, hair products. Staff is extremely unhelpful… I swear every time I go they are engaged in some non-work related convo and don’t greet you or ask if you need anything. They always run out of stuff and good luck trying to get an answer as to when they will restock. Only come here when I really NEED to.

They can be very helpful here. But I go to ULTA instead. The prices are better.

Word to the wise– Do NOT ask these people for advice on color. Easy to say they have no idea what the hell they are talking about. New management blows. Money is better spend at a beauty college then in this place. This place is truly for the dim witted who have NO idea what the meaning of life is.

So, I am a HUGE nail polish freak and know very well that all Sallys’ stores receive shipments of seasonal China Glaze collections. I was excited to see that the Halloween collection should be coming soon. So I searched for Sallys’ near me and this one popped up, I called to see if they had the collection in yet(stores receive them, generally, 2 months prior). The woman on the phone answered my question with«No we don’t.» Then I asked, «Do you know when you’ll be receiving it?,» again her reply, «No we don’t.» I ALMOST asked, «Do you even know what I’m talking about?» Product knowledge people. It’s not rocket science. I work in the industry, customer service is a major part of my job, I felt none when I called. Something is going on with Sallys’ and it ain’t pretty. This is the second Sallys’ location I’ve had to write an unsatisfactory review on. One star and I can’t even tell you what it’s for.

The store is small and located in a plaza that seems to be losing a lot of their stores and business. However any time I need any beauty supplies that major stores dont carry ill hit up Sallys. The prices imo are pretty cheap and even better when u have a sallys card. As for the staff they seem to be very friendly and nice ever time I’ve gone there.

Wow — congrats you are the most ghetto sally’s I’ve ever been to. There have been transactions where not a single word was spoken to me. No hello, no did you find everything okay. No, no, they were too busy talking to each other. I just came back from a sally’s visit, the lady asked if I had a Sally’s card(I do), she shouted something to the back, and as I was moving my Sally’s card in her direction she walked off. Didn’t say oh, so and so will take care of you once she strolls her ass from the back. Simply turned and walked away. The lady that came up to the front had significantly better customer service skills(but when you start from zero). She came up, logged in, asked me if I had a Sally’s card(the one still in my hand) paused — then goes oh, yeah you do. Not that this matters and this is just me being bitchy, but why the hell would someone get Hayward tattooed on their wrist? No, seriously, why? I am happy that I no longer have to go to San Leandro to get my Dark and Lovely super relaxer, but damn(which, I’ve noticed has gone up — freaking inflation. Cheaper to be nappy).

Friendly staff and affordable supplies. They need to keep stocking up on the Manic Panic however, haha. ;-) Buy a Sally’s card if you plan to be a regular, it’s cheap and will save you a few bux.
