Tommy Tran Landscaping

In December 2013, I hired Tommy to relay sod in my backyard on reference from my realtor Prasad Bodas. Tommy quoted the cheapest price to do this alongwith new sprinkler systems. Did a pretty decent job for the cost. Though somethings he could have done better. However, I was busy at work when he did this so I could not supervise. Will still hire him back when I have more time planning. And yes, he does more than just gardening. He does a lot of concrete landscaping work too.

I am writing this review to share my good fortune in finding this well qualified landscaper. I’ve been living with gophers for the last 30 years in this house I live in now in Daly City and In Colma, 1 mile away. As I was taking my Greyhound (newly adopted) for a walk in my neighborhood I came across Tommy Tran with a lawn removed in the front of a house with a nice mesh of anodized metal to act as a gopher barrier. His prep work was excellent as I am a retired building consultant and I really appreciate people who do work like this with meticulous attention to detail. I can say as I write this as the sod is being done, I thought I’d better have him do mine. Came back the next day and his customers lawn was transformed and I immediately hired him to do mine.(followup to come) I will have some photos of his prep work to post.
Good attributes that describe his business practice. He’s very punctual
has a good working knowledge landscaping and his other building and concrete skills he does a wide variety of landscaping, sprinkler systems etc. I saw a very impressive picture portfolio showing his work, and I suggest you ask him to bring it along so you can see his work’ I will take some photos of his job.
His pricing is very reasonable and he seems to be just another American success story of someone working hard and doing things the right way. At the end of the first day all weeds and old grass removed and sprinkler system installed. He could have taken some shortcuts but he went under a concrete slab so there wouldn’t be any above ground piping and put a dual water outlet and a weather
proof time which looked pretty straightforward to operate. Tomorrow he will install the mesh and lay the sod which is the easy part. What I was most impressed with was his picture portfolio which showed that he is actually quite skilled in many areas beyond just landscaping. Ask to see his portfolio which he is quite proud of with good reason. I will finish this review after he has laid the sod. I was impressed enough to write this review because I believe he deserves support. I highly recommend his work quality
