I love this place! Both the food and service were excellent. Unfortunately, the location is weird and so I’m worried this place won’t last. But, I’ve eaten at a number of places in Healdsburg and find most of them to be overdone and not delicious. Lucia was delicious and the staff delightful. Loved the option of getting 7 different things on the charcuterie platter(all delicious), the prawn risotto was fantastic, and dessert was fun and delicious. AND, our waiter was able to prevent my wine glass from staying empty for too long. WORLDS better than Bravas, if you’re looking for a tapas-ish type of place.

I gave it two stars to be fair. Because they can’t mess up a beer in a bottle and the servers were very nice albeit a little overbearing. For $ 26 I ordered the fisherman stew. I received one, rubber textured, incredibly small scallop. My two shrimp size prawns were with heads, which is fine, but they had the entire vein intact, and were the texture of hard rubber and tasted similar to frozen mud. Really tactless. The sausage in the stew had gigantic chunks of gristly fat in it. The sea bass was fine. The clams were babies if that. The broth tasted pretty good tho the tomato chunks that resided in it looked like very bad quality unripe Roma or hothouse tomato. The portion of stew was pretty small. The scallops on the menu is misleading as I received one tiny scallop. Not scallops, scallop. My potatoes were cut by someone with very poor knife skills. I tasted my partners pork tenderloin and it was dry. Very unpleasant overall. If I weren’t trying to have a positive happy night I would’ve said something in person, however I didn’t, I hope they actually read these and care because in a downtown area such as healdsburg, substandard food gets you nowhere.

Café Lucia was a real find! The menu offered variety and every meal of our group of four was beautifully prepared. I would go all the time if I lived nearby, but I will definitely return when I get back to Healdsburg!

We had a very nice dinner here. We started with 5 different things: 2 cheeses, pork, pickled veggies and olives. All very nice, but we were bummed as they were out of the Sao Jorge cheese. We had 4 different entrees, and we all enjoyed what we had — the seafood was especially good. The desserts are a highlight and included three different items on the plate. The wine selections are also nice. My only disappointment was a hiccup in service when we arrived as it took a while to get a wine order in and get dinner ordered. Otherwise a must-visit in Sonoma!

This restaurant is super yummy. I wasn’t sure what to expect, and was pleasantly surprised. First the ambiance is very nice and cozy, with indoor and outdoor seating. We started with some wine and sangria. The sangria is a bit sweet, but very tasty. We had the cod cakes to start; five yummy balls, plump and full of tasty cod. Then we split the sea bass grilled fish entrée… wow, the delicate white fish over the olives, tomatoes and fingerling potatoes was perfect. We’d have dessert here, but saw a pie and ice cream shop in town we have been eyeing. My hubby said to give this gem 5 stars but I am a huge foodie, and only give 5 stars when my socks are knocked off. I would certainly dine here again. This cozy little gem is worth visiting over and over.

This place was amazing. Reasonable prices for the quality of food. Brought us some beet shooter included for free. Had the octopus, which was amazing and the Brazilian national dish(forget the name) which was ridiculous!

Great service! The charcuterie board was awesome! The entrees were not a glamorous but we’re still very good! This place was definitely on the pricier side over $ 100 for 2.

Mmmm. Tried it on a beautiful Saturday that allowed us to eat lunch outdoors. Service and food both excellent. We tried the national dish, the chicken piri-piri, a tasting board that included octopus, the mac ‘n cheese, and the curry clams. Complimentary — bread & butter, a small amuse bouche type of appetizer, and a tiny dessert. Everyone was very happy. Oh, and if you are hungry, there was a prix fixe offered that included soup, surf ‘n turf, and dessert.

Food was ok but really nothing exceptional. I thought I’d give this place a try after reading all the wonderful reviews, so my expectations were a bit high. The scallops were very good, however, the baked Baccalao dish was mediocre. It was very salty and the fish was full of bones so was not able to enjoy it since it was mixed together with potatoes and olives, and it was hard to pick the bones out. Service was pretty good, but the restaurant was not busy at all. Overall a good place to eat, but nothing out of this world.

It’s a beautiful place– kind of a hidden gem in Healdsburg. The dishes you see here you won’t see in other restaurants in the area and everything is prepared very well. I’ve been there about 5 times and each time I’ve been happy with everything we ordered. I especially like the pork tenderloin and several of their tapas options(OMG the pork belly!!!) Their desserts are out of this world so be sure to save room! It is on the pricier side, however, so it has gone into the«special occasion» category for me($ 200 before tip for dinner for three with one bottle of modest rose) but still definitely worth the visit. Atmosphere is on the loungy side with a fabulous sparkling and oysters happy hour(assuming they’re still doing this.)

What a great find! It was 5:00 as we walked toward our destination, a popular restaurant in Healdsburg that I’ll review later, and I saw the sign«$ 1 oysters and $ 5 bubbles» well, we never made it beyond Café Lucia because the oysters, raw and baked, also Rockefeller, were so delicious that we consumed mass quantities, and also had the delicious gazpacho and shrimp and more champagne. And the service was wonderful and we enjoyed sitting outside in the courtyard

Café Lucia is a Portuguese Restaurant found in the heart of Healdsburg. It is has a beautiful setting indoors as well as a very nice patio seating outdoors. Since it was such a beautiful evening, we chose to enjoy our meal outside on the patio. It is pet friendly so if you hare bringing your loving family pet member, know they are welcome. Growing up my best friend was from Madeira Portugal and her family always made some delicious foods. My favorite was the Bolinhos de bacalhau(Cod cakes). I was ecstatic to see that it was on their menu. We had that as a starter and it was so good that I wanted to come by the next day to order them again. If you eat here, DONOTPASSTHESEUP! For dinner my husband had the Brazilian dish Feijoada Completa(Brazilian national dish, stewed beef, pork, smoked sausage, black beans). Beautifully presented, the meat was amazingly tender and in the most scrumptious sauce ever. He thoroughly enjoyed it. I had a hard time deciding what to order. Growing up my friends family made Bacalhau no Forno(traditional baked casserole salted cod, potatoes, onions and olives) and I was gearing towards that but the Caldeirada-Portuguese Fisherman’s Stew(sea bass, scallops, clams, shrimp, fingerling potatoes, linguica, lobster fumet) was on my eye too. The waiter described it as being close to the Italian version of Cioppino(Fish Stew). I decided to try something different and went with the Caldeirada-Portuguese Fisherman’s Stew. It was AMAZING! The fish was fresh and cooked to perfection and the linguica really enhanced the flavor of the juices. I enjoyed every bite of it. For dessert we shared the trio of cinnamon-vanilla bean crème brule, caramel-chocolate ice cream with coffee glaze, and«carameled apple» in a pecan«boat.» Each one was delicious but the ice cream… OHMY… was out of this world! I’m not a huge ice cream fan but that was like none I’ve ever tasted. I’ve attached pictures of each of the meals we had. Unfortunately forgot to take one of my favorite, the Bolinhos de bacalhau(Cod cakes). Probably because when I saw them I thought of just jumping right in and eat those delectable appetizers… So if you go to Healdsburg, plan on visiting this restaurant. I promise you it will be one to tell all your friends about. Every bite is mouthwatering delicious! We like to try different restaurants when we return to a place we live far from, but this is one restaurant that we will visit every time we return. Hidden Gem! Tasty small plates you can enjoy inside their swanky dining room or outdoor on the lovely patio. Quite the eclectic menu of Portuguese style, locally sourced ingredients. They have the best Port lineup I have seen in Sonoma county, something you rarely see. They are pretty tucked away, but once you find it you will be pleased.

Café Lucia is a delightful hidden spot right off the main square in Healdsburg and the setting for this restaurant is beautiful. Its tucked back, quiet, spacious with dramatic high ceilings, a rich color scheme and ample indoor and outdoor seating. If I had one recommendation, it would be to go to Café Lucia and enjoy their appetizers and wine pours. We had the seven piece tasting board and we loved the light, perfectly done house smoked sturgeon, the delicious grilled blood sausage, the foie, the cheeses with sweet toppings, and the complimentary starter the chef sent out.(The jamon serrano was dry and a weak link.) The start of the meal was delicious –four. possibly five stars delicious. Some great Zin(Bella) paired with appetizers. Some lovely warm bread served hot from the oven to eat together with everything. We were truly excited for the rest of our meal. But the entrees let us down. The pork tenderloin was dry. The seafood rice dish with uni foam was not up to carrying a main course. It tasted like a side dish, topped with three grilled shrimp. Not main dish worthy. The corn side dish was buttery and well seasoned, but this was a side dish. I can’t remember a meal off to such an auspicious start, only to ultimately putter out for us. I want to stress that we’d come again without hesitation to sit on their beautiful patio, drink good wine, and enjoy a multi-piece board here with generous cheese portions and tasty appetizers, since this is where they really shine.

this place is below average. The fish was over cook so rubber texture. Yuck!!! The waitress offer different dinner. So how can one make a bad steak. They made a great soft steak but with frenchfries. Sorry but an up class restaurant should off a more complex potato then fries without vegetables… The score is not a one because the service was a 5.

Portuguese food in a very modern setting. You must start with the tasting plates, we ordered everything from crispy pig ears to herring — little bites to start your meal. The fish here is fantastic! It’s unique and the patio is lovely during the day. It’s a brother and sister team here and you can tell they love what they do –and they do it well.

I love love love my bacalau and this place does a great job of it. Their San Miguel cheese is awesome as is so many other items on their menu. It’s great food to compliment your Healdsburg wine tasting adventure too. Ambiance is very nice, both indoors and outdoors. The staff is very knowledgable and professional. Check this place out. It’s definitely 5 stars.

B. T and I were on a wine tour and for lunch they dropped us off in Downtown Healdsberg. We were thinking of trying typical pub fare, when we saw the sign for Café Lucia. The restaurant is tucked away, in the most unassuming way. We were immediately greeted and seated and given the menu to study. Our waitress was a doll! She confirmed our suspicions that the Caldo Verde, Crab Pita, and Feijoada were delicious, so we ordered all of the above. While waiting for our food, our waitress brought us a little treat to try: linguica, cheese, and an olive on a little skewer. Mmmm. A wonderful little medley! So excited when she brought us Portugese Bread with the Caldo Verde. The bread was slightly sweet and oh so soft. I could have eaten B. T’s bread, but his was gone faster than mine. The Caldo Verde is a must try! I didn’t eat the Crab Pita, but B. T loved it. He said it was so fresh tasting with a wonderful corn and red pepper mix. The cheese, he said, was a perfect complement. Let’s talk about my main dish, The Feijoada. Hello, Love! The beef, pork, and black beans were amazing paired with the rosemary herb rice that was included. It was just an awesome rustic type dish that you want to just keep eating until the elastic on your pants give out. To send us off with love, they gave a little piece of chocolate that was just delicious and milky, not too sweet. Slightly pricey for lunch, but totally justified by the quality, taste, and portion sizes. I’m so sad this restaurant isn’t close by, but happy we were able to experience it… Definitely a highlight of my weekend trip to Sonoma County!
