K R Catering

We hired KR Catering to cater our High School Band Gala for 250 people. Ken helped us come up with the Teenage Friendly menu and the price fit our tight high school band booster budget. The Food was top notch, DELICIOUS, the catering help was superb and they were ready 30 minutes early which was a godsend since our concert finished early. They had set up buffet lines and it went very smoothly they cleaned up packed up the left overs and the whole process went so smoothly. We had so many nice comments from the parents and students. In fact one parent has had their kids for the past 7 years and he commented it was the best food in all the years he has attended the Gala. Thank you Ken Rochioli and Staff. Do not even bother contacting this place unless you are extremely wealthy. If they send you a quote and you let them know it’s over your budget you will be mocked by Ken Cochioli.
He was the rudest caterer I’ve come across while searching for a caterer in Sonoma County. In my initial inquiry I let KR know I have a small wedding of only 65 people and have a small budget. He sent me a proposal for 85 people and the cost was the second highest quote (first highest being girl and fig) of seen from the over 12 caterers I’ve contacted. I let him know it was for 85 people and I asked if correcting that would bring the cost down because it was way over budget. He sent back a proposal for 65 and the cost was only 100 less! He actually raised the cost per unit of the food. I’ve never seen anything like it. It would have been cheaper to take my guests to the nicest restaurant in SF. I went on to let him know yet again that it was over our budget and the price was the same it seemed and since he didn’t seem to understand, this time I actually told him what we were comfortable spending. The email I received back was the most unprofessional thing I’ve ever experienced. He mocked my budget saying «Yikes…» and then went on to explain that accommodating it would cut into their business. As if I’m an idiot.
The girl and the fig was so kind to me when I told them about our budget. They let me know in a professional way that they understood. Park Avenue was also so kind and professional. And I’ve found so many other great caterers in the area that are over 60 percent cheaper and actually treat people with respect. Ken doesn’t know much about business if he thinks it’s ok to mock people who aren’t rich enough to afford his overpriced food.
My fiancé and I work hard and we are paying for this wedding ourselves. We want a nice wedding just like everyone else but we have to be creative where most others get to spend what they want. I guess the Sonoma County elitists like KR catering maybe don’t understand that not everyone is like them.

Ken did an amazing job on our wedding. His food exceeded our expectations. He accommodated numerous food limitations and was great to work with on a menu for our wedding. Everyone raved about the food. Additionally, his staff was excellent. Very polite and helpful. A great company to work with!

Working with Ken on my daughter’s wedding was a pleasure. He coped with multiple number changes, a challenging venue, and delivered fresh and well prepared food. The guests raved about the salmon. The salad of heirloom tomatoes was a melt in your mouth delight. The site was clean as could be the next morning.

I attended a company holiday party last night catered by Rochiolli Catering, and could not have been more impressed. The freshness of the food and vibrant colors filled my plate. The beef/​pork could have been cooked less, no pink in sight, but in all honesty I was at the end of the buffet line. The green beans were crisp, and the ceasar salad dressed perfectly. The mashed potatoes with green flecks were good, but I could not tell what the flecks were by tasting.
Desert, yum… yum…yum all four choices were outragious!

Ken Rochiolli and his team with K R Catering blew us away at our recent wedding in Sonoma County. Ken was instrumental in helping us draft a food and wine pairing four course dinner that was imaginative, creative and just plain yummy. Our guests and us were mouth watering for more, I highly recommend K R Catering for Ken’s entrée suggestions, food and wine pairing and management of an awesome team that was dedicated to making sure our wedding party had a great time.
