Dr. Wilson is a great doctor! He always has his staff call to check in after an illness. He is very good at making your opinion valued. He recently left Healdsburg primary care (which had fraudulent billing practices) and has joined a reputable group that should be easier to work with.

Beware. He’s a nice guy and a good doctor, but the practice has a billing scam. They will bill your doctor’s visit as an «outpatient hospital» visit. Guess what? Insurance doesn’t count this as an office visit, and will not be covered. I am not the only one who has had this experience; I was telling a friend my frustrations about the hours spent back and forth on the phone with insurance and the office, when I found out they did the EXACT SAME thing to her! She was persistent enough and they re-​billed it as an office visit, but only after going to the head office person and much arguing. Please note that this was for a sore throat, and I had called to make an appointment and saw the nurse practitioner. Instead of my co-​pay, I was bill $ 87 + the cost of a strep culture. It’s 4 months later and I’m still dealing with it. Too much headache for a doctor’s visit.
