Never have I had a bad sushi roll there, the Pineapple fried rice is terrific too! Even when we carried out last night and a roll was left behind they delivered it. GREATCUSTOMERSERVICE.

My expectations are not that high from Midwest Asian food, but this was far below par. The worst Curry we have ever had. Both were more like broth soups than actual curry. Flavorless, hardly any chicken(He counted three pieces) and served with a short grain white rice rather than a jasmine. The prices were far too high for what it is. We will not return.

The food was okay but not great. The atmosphere was blah and reminded me of a fast food joint or a mall food court. Prices seemed a bit steep considering the fast food feel of the place. It might be a good lunch option for people who work in the area or an occasional carry out place for those who live nearby, but I won’t go out of my way to go back to this restaurant.

Very difficult to write this review. The food was EXCELLENT. However, the 2 of us were the ONLY2 people in the place and could not get service. Sat forever to order… took forever to get a refill and the bill. Plus, their English was limited. The one dish had a hair on it, posted the pic. They never came back to follow up after bringing the food, so we took it to them. They made another dish. Again, excellent food, but no service.

My experience here was much different than many of the other Unilocal reviewers. I am not denigrating their experiences at Spice Thai & Sushi… I came in to check them out for dinner based on the fact that the restaurant had so many favorable reviews. I broke my own rule of not visiting Asian restaurants that try to do more than one style of Asian cuisine. Far to often, they don’t do anything well. My first clue should have been that there was no Papaya salad on the menu, but rather a «Thai Slaw» of shredded carrots and cabbage. The text description of the dish made it sound like it would be a similar spicy, tart dressing similar to what Papaya salad is dressed with. I ordered that, plus the Tom Yum soup(spicy lemongrass soup) with chicken, and a dish called something like«Spicy Noodles» with chicken. I asked if it was like Drunken Noodles and got an affirmative nod. I was asked what spice level I wanted(1 – 10 — with 10 being the spiciest) — I chose 10. The Thai Slaw came out first. It was incredibly disappointing. It was drenched in this cloyingly sweet dressing that had no resemblance to any Thai dressing I’ve ever had on Papaya salad. In any case, I could eat only about half of it — it was to sweet. The Tom Yum soup was the blandest Tom Yum soup I’ve ever had. I’ll leave it at that. On to the noodles with chicken dish. It had carrots, snow peas, zucchini, and broccoli in it — the vegetables were the best part of the dish — and that is not saying much. It came off as a generic stir fry in a wok dish. The only other positive note about this dish from my perspective is that it had pretty good heat. But as another reviewer noted — the spice level perspective here may be skewed. This was not the kind of «10» I was hoping for heat-wise. The restaurant is very spartan in terms of it’s décor. Service was good, dishes came out in a timely fashion. Just not my cup of tea. I’ve had way better Thai in many other places.

I’ve only really eaten the combination fried rice with salmon. Hands down, the best take out fried rice! Love love love!

At a recent family lunch there, we got several things to share and had a great meal. –Chicken Satay – tasty grilled chicken on skewers, peanut sauce was a bit overly sweet for my taste –California Roll – mainly got this so my son could try«safe» sushi; it was just OK –Chicken Pad Thai – really good pad thai, rich and flavorful even though we got it milder than usual(to share), would definitely order again While they don’t specifically have anything for kids, there are lots of things that most children would eat(the grilled chicken from the satay was a winner) and they gave us fun chopsticks with a little man on top to make it easier for our son. The interior is bland, but pleasant and the staff was very nice.

Food was good, but felt it was overpriced. $ 33 for appetizer, 2 entrées and water(tip not included)

I really enjoy good Thai food. So I thought I would give this new Thai place a go. Went in and sat down. Only customer in the place at 11:30am. Gentleman behind the cash register was the only other visible soul. Waited 10 min for my first contact. I ordered Pad Thai Noodles with something I can’t recall. It doesn’t really matter because it was uncharacteristically tasteless(especially for what I am used to in Thai cuisine). My spring rolls were still frozen on the inside. Not cold — Frozen(as in having ice crystals and hard). The staff did replace them. Maybe they have gotten better but I have not been back. I got the distinct impression that the owners do not have much experience with running a restaurant. I pretty much grew up in one.

The potstickers were pretty good, with a tasty dipping sauce. Pad Thai(level 5 heat) with pork was also good. The only complaint I have is that the protein in the Pad Thai was overcooked and not seasoned enough. Other than that, pretty authentic Thai food, especially for northern Kentucky. The service is quick and friendly. I took the order to-go, so I cannot comment on the atmosphere. I would definitely recommend!

Ok, I’m typically the guy that is always afraid to write anything negative towards a restaurant; I always try and find the best in the places I eat. That being said, I only have a few good things to say about this place(bearing in mind it was my first visit): For starters, waitress was prompt and friendly. Ordered the panang with chicken and shrimp, spicy level 8(of 10). First good thing — the sauce was one of the least oily and most uniform of any panang I’ve ever had, if slightly on the bland side(for panang). Second good thing — spice level was perfect! Good heat without being overwhelming. The bad — the plethora of semi-raw veggies that plagued the bowl. I kept trying to figure out why they were there and couldn’t find a good answer. They overwhelmed the sauce and didn’t add anything. Add to this the under-seasoned proteins and high price($ 17.97 with water, excluding tip), and I was underwhelmed. Put that sauce with some green pepper and white rice and it’s a winner. Unfortunately, my beautiful sauce was ruined by raw carrot and zucchini.

Stereotypical Chinese atmosphere. It was nice and clean and the front lady was nice. We got spring rolls, chicken skewer, curry and tofu noodle thing. all of it was fine. Nothing exciting, nothing bad. If you are in the area or live nearby and want thai over jimmy johns then do it. if you make a special trip to go here you are an idiot.

My husband and I happened to be in Hebron and were excited about trying this place after reading others’ reviews. Unfortunately, our experience was not a good one. our sushi was mediocre in taste and poorly rolled, service was slow despite the place not being busy, and the cost of our meal was outrageous. I understand that dining options in Hebron are quite limited, but if you are willing to drive to Crescent Springs or Florence, there are much better options available.

I just ordered lunch here for the first time. I have to say that the lunch prices are reasonable…$ 7 per entrée with steamed rice. I’ve had better sweet and sour, but am looking forward to trying other menu options in the future. I should have ordered a curry dish I think. This is not a place I would want to go to for dinner because the dinner prices are too high for the lack of ambiance. But I’ll be back for a lunch special!

I shouldn’t be so quick to judge. Kentucky does have good food, you just need a car to find it! Spice Thai & Sushi is a fantastic restaurant serving authentic Thai cuisine. I was in town for the week and wanted something other than the hotel food. The food at the hotel is fine but super expensive. That’s dandy and fine with me because the company is paying for it. It’s nice to have options though. I had the Pad Thai lunch special with a cup of Tom Yum Soup. It was done perfectly and suddenly I didn’t feel like I was stuck in the Midwest and dreading it anymore. It’s great comfort food when the outside temperature is 20 degrees. They ask for the level of spiciness on a scale of 1 to 10(maybe because I was Asian). I opted for 8 and it was just right. I did not want flaming bowels at the end of the day. There is also sushi on the menu but I didn’t give that a try. There is a Thai chef and American Sushi chef. I think you’ll do fine with either option here. This is a great place for lunch. I highly recommend!

Decent Thai food, but not that nice of a place, décor is generic at best. Food is okay but not amazing. A decent place to have lunch when your tired of fast food. Service is good and generally quick.

Had the Basil Fried Rice with chicken an a spring roll. The spring rolls were very good. They came with a delicious, sweet and lightly spicy dipping sauce. My entrée was generously portioned and well made. It had a hint of sweetness and the right amount of spice(I asked for it at 2 out of 10 on the spicy scale). The rice was well seasoned and there were pieces of crispy green peppers throughout. Overall a very enjoyable and reasonably priced lunch.

Great local place, sushi right here in Hebron. My wife and I visited for an early dinner. The sushi was very good and very high quality. It’s a great restaurant with a wide variety for vegetarian eaters, or gluten free. My wife ordered a Thai dish with a peanut sauce that was very original and tasty. Even the tofu was cooked up a bit different and blended well in the sauce. I have to agree with others, the price is a bit high, New York prices instead of Hebron prices. But, I will go back and am happy to have a local place like this.
